@Tech Me Out, thank you for sharing the information. If I may, I would like to share my opinion regarding the interface. Instead of using WAN, on my opinion it is better select the interface where the there a port was forwarded to WAN. In this way, the issue of false positive is lower.

Hi. pfsense is a great firewall, no doubt! but and thats a big but, pfsense is not a utm, it doesnt do layer 7. there are ways around this like using 3rd party dns providers that do dns level filtering, but in a straight up pfsense firewall - there is no layer 7 filtering, no application blocking, etc. if you use snort for example, you can add the p2p rules but that doesnt really count as "blocking IDM"
