Another good video! I like your presentation because you don't "sugar coat" everything. When something doesn't go perfectly, you simply say something like, "Well, that didn't work!" I love that because it is the real world and it makes your videos both entertaining and educational. Keep up the good work.
In answer to your comment at 11:36 concerning how to use the data from HamLog. In HamLog's Tools, there is an "Export Log Entries" selection. That selection provides a number of options including Email ADIF that can be used to send the log to your station computer where you can import the data into your primary station log. Other options include sending to SOTA, eQSL etc. This tool makes it relatively simple to update LoTW.
May I suggest you put a small cup hook in your go bag then you can secretly screw it into a crack in the wood fascia board on that building to hook your antenna string and get your feed point up a bit higher. great video thanks
I use a bit of caution tape tied to my antenna. It does seem to let people know there is a wire there. I don't think being near a structure hurts reception. For something to tie onto, there are poles that connect the roof to the brick "poles". Would a bungee cord tied around that metal pole have worked? Your videos have inspired me to go portable, albeit QRO. I finally made a QSO with my 20 meter whip from near Atlanta to a station in Texas, and then to a station in Alberta. I want to bring my Chameleon TD Lite the next time I go. Thanks for the vieso. :)
Why are u not making new videos? It's been a while now since you made one I really enjoy them as im learning morse code my name is Ciaran mooney from Derry City N Ireland
Ciaran Mooney thank you so much... mostly it's really been cold here and I do mostly outdoor videos. I am also between jobs. It's been stressful. More to come.
Another good video. I believe you need a better antenna. If I were on your shoes, I would contact a QRP club to check with them which antennas could be more effective than yours. Alternatively, you could buy the ARRL Antenna Book and look up in there. That is my point-of-view. I am just trying to improve your QSO rate thus, your happiness. 73, Luciano PT9KK
Nice video! Im curious where you got the chordage and bean bag? I have found arborist chordage on line, but there seenms to be so many different kinds. Thanks for the videos! Tony - W6VFW
Yeah, I think what people are doing is they make their music free, then later once it's embedded in videos they claim to TH-cam it is copyrighted and they try to charge you per song. They wanted $35.00 for this song I used. I had 3 videos flagged for this. I would like to fix the song without reposting it as new, but when I did that it removed all the audio. Oh well, here it is.
Yes, man I hate the winter. I'm seriously wanting to move to Austin, TX or somewhere to find some heat. Can't do videos in this junk plus everyone, including me, has the flu.
Sorry to hear that you all are sick! Wishing you a speedy recovery. I plan to try and do some Parks on The Air stuff this year, WWFF (World Wide Flora and Fauna)...but it might take a few trips to the parks, I read that i'll need 44 QSO's for it to count...lol
You don't have to get all 44 in one day, unlike a SOTA, you can get them all in a few days, etc. Here are a couple of links: parksontheair.com/ facebook.com/groups/wwff.co/?multi_permalinks=927361184083673%2C927307537422371¬if_id=1518525963473079¬if_t=group_activity&ref=notif
Grey Ghost Is this a bad thing? If you can gain the interest of one or two of these “nosey” people this is a success. It will ensure the hobby continues on. You might even make a new friend or two and become their Elmer.

Thanks for the great comment. Yes bungee cord would have worked. Great stuff.
Actually that bungee cord idea is a good one. Im gonna have to get some at harbor freight for this spring.
Thanks Mac and I like your burgers.

I remember this video. Shame that the whole monetization stuff is such BS. Looking forward some warmer weather!
