    I'd really like to see more of these 'hands-on' videos. Especially for topics like these, where I just don't have the resources to lab it myself. But also for other topics. It just provides an even deeper understanding of the capabilities and gotchas.

    I wish i had a love button, you nailed it and made it so easy to show how to connect the dots for this solution …kudos to you !!

    Thanks the the demo John. It’s nice to see them along with the theory. Also thanks to the product team for giving you what was needed to demo it!

    Love this video purely on the demonstration and showcasing components!

    your attention to details (for example NOT to jump to review+create) and feedback notes (23h2 do NOT join vm BEFORE) prove you are very good at what you do, and sets apart ** from most hit-and-run yt content creators, admirable. thanks

    Perfect timing.
    I'm getting my hands on some server equipment and was looking at what to do with it. Was thinking azure arc, and some windows core servers managed by admin center.

      How much do you pay for it? Not 1:1 to an enterprise environment but how close you can get to it without having to pay a lot to trying to replicate an organization?

      @@tamboleoif you want to do it on a budget, you can run it as a nested hypervisor with the minimum amount of cores assigned.

    Excellent video. I mistakenly have been watching a video on a 21H1 release, which is completely different to the 23H2 version I installed. Having never done this before then there are huge differences throughout the whole process, and in fact the majority of the setup I did through Windows Admin Centre. I just got to the bit to join it to the Azure ARC, and that's where I have tripped up, as its a completely different process now. I am a complete noob to Azure, coming from a vmware background (used solely vmware for a good 20 years now), but I am starting to realise I am fairly out of my depth with Azure and Azure Stack HCI :(

    As usual, a great presentation! I have a question! We are planning to abandon Active Directory completely in our environment in the near future. Therefore, I'm wondering if it's possible to use Entra AD DS (without the AD synchronization with Entra ID) instead of Active Directory to set up Azure HCI? If so, will such a configuration have support from Microsoft? Do any of you have any experience with this?

    Currently fighting this deployment. I've been joining the devices to the domain because the documentation shows a screenshot of the device joined. Will retry with devices in a workgroup and see how it goes.

      Yes, definitely need to NOT being domain joined.

    Amazing video thanks, can VM in Stack HCI be kept up to date with Azure Update Manager?

      Yes via Arc

    Is there a link to the commands that you used for this setup? I have been working through the M$ documentation and have not met with much success. Also, I have 4 production HCI clusters that are being used for Hyper-V, but I need to configure them to support the execution of Azure workloads as that was not done when the clusters were initially stood up. In my attempts, I have destroyed the cluster (in the home lab, not the actual production clusters) . Would you be able to point me to resources that would document how to move through such an adventure?

    • @NTFAQGuy
      @NTFAQGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      All the commands I used were straight from the documentation.
