Both retired way too early I started watching cricket in 1996 and Jonty was the biggest fear Could still recall the commentary when commentat said It's a flying catch and Tendulkar is out Heart-breaking at that moment

3:24 "My wife follows vedanta" An incredibly proud moment for Hindus (connected to their roots) like me. For my fellow Hindus who are still wondering what is Vedanta, this system represents the pinnacle of Hindu philosophy.
Both these gentlemen retired much before we wanted. They had many years of cricket left in them i feel. It is our loss that we could not see more of them.
What a pleasant and upbeat interview with such talented and positive individuals. Look at their open attitudes. I hope all this black-white, religions, caste, etc. nonsense ends forever. These are 3 men on equal footing talking normally.
I had met him (A.B De Villiers).. at Bangalore Airport, when he was walking along with his newly wedded wife, followed by Ray Jennings, Moise Henriques, on the other side was Virat Kohli with a White Headset... i jumped like a frog and shook his hand and he said in his deep baritone voice - Hi ! How are you? a fine gentlemen.. in a rush .. i didnt realise that i could have taken a selfie and then 😜😜🤣🤣 i till date realise what did i miss..
Please re-check old Shah Jahan...Shah Jahan married five times, twice before marrying the Persian princess. Arjumand Banu Begum, known as Mumtaz Mahal, in 1612. Lots of love going around...
There is a 45min video on youtube of Ricky Ponting running people out. He was brilliant in the slips, close to the bat, backward point and even in the outfield. I loved Jonty as a kid, but he was not as complete as Ricky and he did not often hit the stumps. He was a run saver, but Ricky made wickets with the way he fielded and the positions he fielded in. On top of that, Ricky was a top 5 batsman in the world for most of his career. Whereas it often felt like Jonty (a batsman) was selected for his fielding
not sure when you started watching cricket but certainly you dint watch Jonty .. Jonty was way above Ricky .... you position him in the circle , batsmen feared to take single in the circle also you forgot he was a great runner betw wickets too when batting. And what made you say " he did not often hit the stumps " ? he did that 9 out of 10 ! did you mean someone else ? Captain Hansie had the privelege to position jonty anywhere in the circle and had numerous advantages!
There! You yourself said it. The only player to be selected to an international team purely for his fielding prowess. He has won Man of the Matches with his stupendous fielding performances! There was once an exhibition showdown for few of the best fielders in the World that of course had Jonty in it, and he beat them others, hands down and was the only one to hit the stumps from all the angles 10/10!
Sir, jonty rodes was my inspiration when i was kid playing cricket 🏏 & btw i was a good fielder (pretty good) at that time.. Now AB & Maxi are my best overall cricketer of foreign origin. Love ❤️thr presence in the matches
Vikram ..Are you a dud? Donot know Mumtaz was Shehjenjas 7 wife was forcibly taken by killing her husband!! Sign of love!!! The died delivering 6 baby,Stop misrepresnting ...Radhe .. krishna. Ram and Sita are true sign of love
The Mughal king Shah Jahan, who built the Taj Mahal, married his own daughter Jahanara after Mumtaz's death because she looked like Mumtaz to Shah Jahan. Mumtaz died on 17 June 1631 while giving birth to Shah Jahan's 14th child.
