Something the lady touched on which highlights how adaptable the Chinese government are. She talked about how Children are over burden with studying. Hence new regulations has recently been introduced to help improve this situation & restrict private school tutoring. For me, it's not about the idealogy of being a Republican, Democrat or "communist", it's about good governance & adapting policies efficiently according to the needs of your people as society evolves.

The good memories of the past are still vivid in our minds. As the Chinese New Year is approaching, I wish them peace, happiness, health and longevity in the new year.
The important takeaway lesson from this interview is that two persons of different interests can stay together for 50+ years without ending in divorce. The word they used in the interview is "compromise" (14.00/27.27) and it is very important for the world's politicians and leaders to learn this important "live and lets live" value so that the different nationalities do not kill each other off from this planet. I mention this because the couple's country (Australia) had pick a quarrel with China over petty matter such as Covid 19 origin, Xinjiang Uyghurs terrorists detention, Huawei 5G equipment, etc, directed by Ausfralia's big brother, the USA. Even going to the extent of spending big money on buying long range nuclear submarines to harass China. All these anti-China moves were committed by the Australian politicians without any provocation from China. In fact these 2 Australians were able to stay and enjoy China without anti-Aussies actions by the Chinese people. They need to spread the truth back in their Australia land.

Regarding the lovely lady's suggestion on learning English, I don't think Chinese kids need to devote more time on that subject. It's already one of the main subjects besides Chinese and Math. Every kid from every school have to take at least one-two English classes every school day, and there's tons of English homework and exams. I think the problem is the focus of English learning in China has always been on writing&reading, hence the 'mute English'. There should be more focus on listening&speaking beside writing&reading, they are all important. Plus, it would be nice if we have other optional language courses other than English. Thanks for the video. A very lovely couple.
Very lovely conversation! I can understand why lots of Chinese parents spoil their ‘only’ child, though parents need to teach kids reality that the world doesn’t revolve around them just because their parents do. I also understand why their parents push them really hard to study. It’s easy for the westerners to say ‘relax a bit’, do more sports and social life..., though China does not have the luxury to ‘relax’ yet, they have big goal they haven’t reached quite yet, which is to create a moderate middle class prosperous society. The Chinese are very goal oriented people. Actually sports in China is now being promoted and encouraged to all citizens. Chinese are very inspired by many sports.
sports are always encouraged in China, my mom was born 1958 when she was student the school already have a lots sports, im born after 80' and we have to get up early to do morning exercises like 6:45 in the morning, and then around 10am another 10mins exercises again, and every week have 2 PE.
I think they are right about long marriage. Give and take both ways. Thanks China for opening up and we from the West has also been enriched while doing business in China.
Lovely to see Mother Mary's n Baby JESUS in their home. They have a wonderful marriage. May GOD/JESUS bless them n their family n keep them safe n healthy🙏✝️❤. Must add that marriage is not easy, its hard work, many ups n downs, certainly not a bed of Roses!!! Lots of patience, respect, perseverance, understanding, sufferings n agree to disagree indeed, but most of all to be humbled enough to say sorry when wrong. 37 yrs on, hoping n praying to go as long till death do us part, in sickness n in pain.🙏

Signs of Deng xiaoping vision.
Oic. 'Mute English'.
Great interview, but would have been much better w/ better audio equipments.
Surely getting wireless microphones soon
Sorry for the microphone shuffling at some point of our conversation
