Thank you for sharing your memories. I too recreated on Mt. St. Helens pre-eruption. I never saw anything but I certainly had that feeling of being watched and hearing strange noises while camping up there. Post-eruption I was on a crew of 30 Portland Public Works employees that took equipment up to Yakima and spent a few weeks helping dig the town out from the ashfall. That was quite an experience for a young man just starting out his 32 year career in public service.

Do people thank you for your service? I was in the military and people thank me and I never did squat. I guess they're thanking me for being ready to do squat, (I wasn't). You did do a lot so thank you for your service.

@ Thank you for that. Yakima was probably the best I was ever treated during my career. People would come out with drinks and food and just thank us for being there.

I really enjoyed your story. I’m wondering if you knew Pat Kilgore , and his son Mike? He was a long time resident and lived close to Harry Truman and the store. Pat knew a lot of people, he was very social.
My family lost touch with him in the late 70’s or early 80’s, sadly I’m sure he’s no longer with us, it’s been so long. Anyone that knew Pat Kilgore I’m sure they have stories, I’d love to hear from you. I wonder what happened to Mike too.

Sorry, I don't remember the name. The biggest char actor in the area, (I forgot his name) was the owner operator of the Kid Valley Store. He had items in the store that were way past pull date. You could even find cans of DDT on the self. The Little Cafe had great logger sized breakfasts and big burgers. Hummingbirds and a pet porcupine.

Wow I got the feeling he wasn’t quite right, that explains the cans of food in his store being way past the date. And he told us, he’s not leaving his house EVER … not even if the Volcano blew, he meant it.
      Thank you for the reply.

    Nephilim- giants.
I believe these sasquatch beings are a mixed hybrid of human, fallen angel and animal. Pre flood era the giants were 40-100 feet tall. Post flood era 12-18 feet. Of of Bashan and Goliath. Book of Enoch explains that fallen angel’s tampered with dna. They didn’t just procreate with human women but animals. When you read mythology there are mixes of half human half animal which hold some truth.
Mermaids, wolfmen, and the book of Jasher describes a half goat half man. All demonic beings. Defiled flesh. Sasquatch has 3 characteristics of human, animal and spiritual. Ancient manuscripts corroborate the bible. Giants showed up post flood era. Most plausible reason is that Ham and Japeth, Noah’s sons, married Cannanite wives who carried the gene. It was said both of them had giant offspring. Only Shems bloodline remained pure as Christ came from that lineage. Don’t pursue these creatures.
