That new traction motor sure sounds really good, and alot smoother than the older ones, however I still love the old ones also. I think the swt class 455s have these new motors also..or something similar, that defo went to 100 or 90 mph minimum
@@bb-3653 same. It gives them more authority and epicness like the 321s.Tbh, it would be like the 317 but on 3rd rail. However for the work they do, 100mph is expensive. Most of the speed limits are 60mph and the distance between stations is not far. Maybe that could happen in the foreseeable future. (Maybe)
@@nightelectricityuniverse7349 Initially they should have just put 317s down south too in the 80s, instead of 455s, or at least , give them 317 motors (GEC G315BZ traction motors) and not the recycled 1930s-1940s motors they went and used instead for 455s (EE507 traction motors). A 100mph 455 with 319/317 motors would have been far superior to accelerate tbh. Their literally the same train design, just different electrical systems . And motors...which Is odd
Was this a morning commuter train as the train never uses platform 1 during off peak. The only time they normally use platform 1 is when a fast train overtakes.
Amazing Video! I really Enjoyed this :)
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it :)

Your first answer is correct. It is at full pelt!! At least that is what is said by most rail enthusiasts!l

I've noticed you don't hear the characteristic air brake noise on the renatus ? You could always tell a 321 approach even if you were blindfolded !
Same as 319s
Use a gps recording app next time ?
