These videos are so good! I tried to look you up on patreon, but couldn't find you there. I appreciate you doing what you do, so helpful for my playing.
This is exactly what I needed! Why hadn’t I thought of it before? I can work on skills while working on songs. I have been separating the two and couldn’t really bring it all together well. I’m currently working on Ashokan Farewell. 🤞
Yes! And thanks. I start with a song I want to learn and practice the. chord progressions, then work on melody, soloing with the pentatonic scales. I struggle mightily with singing while playing though.
Love it Wayne, great tips and playing. Wasn't expecting the drum beat, but more fun to play with than a metronome, sounded great with your mando too and a bit pf rapping would have also worked :)
You got it Howie! You'll find my email in the video description, shoot me an address and your WWOM case sticker will be on the way. Congrats on being this weeks winner!
Both. I practiced the melody, different approaches to improvising and played rhythm passes. That way when I play this tune in a full band setting I've covered all my bases.
That has been one my most confusing thing playing in a trio. I will play chords in one verse, maybe picking the chords in another, play the melody in a break and if there is aa second break, maybe try improvising. I'm still working on my confidence/nerves during breaks. Thanks!
It's a gag gift I received from a student. You couldn't see the other image but it's a man and a Dodge Challenger R/T emblem. Many of the hoodies and T-shirts I wear in these videos are sent to me by people who watch Wayne's World of Mandolin.
Another healthy snack of veggies in a more palatable fun format. Yum
I love how Wayne's videos are full of easter eggs you can pick up more of with each re-watch
Thank you so much for that comment!
some ol day :)

I'm glad the channel is a help! Stay tuned for more content like this in the future....
Great video! - Nate
Hey, thanks!

Glad this video was a help! Are you still approaching your practice time with a bring it all together mentality?

Don’t think I will get this in years😁 great shows in Dumplin Valley this past weekend!
Just keep pressing on. Practice one section at a time before combining them together. Glad you enjoyed Dumplin Valley!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Do you have a way to generate backing tracks for songs you are working on? Also, sweet Monroe break over a banjo tune!
I never make backing tracks personally but I have a number of students that praise Strum Machine and Band in a Box. Hope this helps...

Thanks! Really loving the channel by the way
I would like to do a Skype lesson
Good morning, can I get the tab for this intro (take off) you play at the end of this video? The sticker challenge.
Sorry Jan. There's no tab available.
My question is: are you playing this in a break, or in accompaniment?
Both. I practiced the melody, different approaches to improvising and played rhythm passes. That way when I play this tune in a full band setting I've covered all my bases.

Trying to figure our your T-shirt....
Me too. I found it very distracting. What's it trying to say, Wayne?

Cool. Thanks. I enjoyed you on the Chapman's podcast. @@waynesworldofmandolin3616
