I went back to work and my baby refused to take the bottle with grandma and dad he was not eating and was crying a lot! For a whole week he was fighting every time with the bottle. Until I warmed the breast milk little bit more 32 -34!degrees Celsius vs 29 Celsius. And warm the bottle nipple on hot water! It work like a charm. Now my baby is taking the bottle since then! It really work!!
Came here 3 days ago desperate. This was a lifesaver for me I did a combination of these things before where I would have someone else try to feed him or try to feed him when he was going to sleep but it did not really work. I did try a few bottles and I happen to have the one that you said worked for you at my house but the game changer with heating the nipple up and getting the milk just slightly warmer than room temp which I did because you mentioned the milk not being luk warm. I've now been able to have both my mother-in-law and me give him a bottle while he's awake warm milk, warm nipple, this bottle (NUK). You're a lifesaver. Thank you!
Hey! Thank you so much for the tips. Heating the nipple really worked wonders for my baby. She had refused to take the bottle no matter how much we tried. We had changed a few nipples, but that didn't helped her. But now, I'm fully satisfied that she's finally taking it. All thanks to you for helping us.
So I've gotten my baby to take a bottle before, but I exclusively breastfeed so it's not that often. Right now I heated up the nipple and it worked!!! She's 7 month btw, and I just started taking classes so I needed her to take a bottle daily! Thank you so much for your advice!

Thanks for the tip! Got my little girl to get back on the bottle with the heated nipple tip. She was bottle fed for the first two months, but rejected the bottle in the third month. The heated nipple worked quickly. Hope it lasts!
Thank you for the tips. I'm going back to work and I should have started earlier. My baby is nearly 4 months old and my first was easy because Dad would take her and do the night feeds. Having two menat he was now dealing with the older one and I just exclusively dealt with my new baby. I will be trying these tips and will give feedback on how it goes. It can be frustrating but will soldier through and together with some prayer I'm confident she will adjust.

Bought the Nuk bottle and she prefers that teat but she is not taking it fully in her mouth at least she's playing with it in her mouth which she wasn't doing at all before with the other bottle. You can squeeze the milk into her mouth so she kinda swallows some and spits the rest. So its better than it was in the beginning...she is going once a week to the day sitter who is the one working on it. Dad is not being insistent enough so depending on our day sitter to break her in. I will keep you updated. I do believe it will happen!
@@breanna2067 Yes thank the Lord she did! After a month and a half. I tried different bottles it didnt work, tried everything proposed didnt work. Went back to her origional bottle and one day she just decided to start drinking. I nearly had to send her home to my Mother (different continent) as I couldnt take time off work and that would have been the only option. Broke my heart just thinking of it but I had no other choice because she was crying all day with the lady looking after her who has other children to look after and just wouldnt eat all day until I came back. I spoke to her about it. Obviously prayed alot and one day she just started drinking and it changed everything - her mood - everything. Just hang in there and don't give up. It was a stressful time though.
Start with breast for comfort and offer bottle pressed.close to chest (in your normal feeding position). I'm doing this with my son and so far he will take an ounce before getting upset. He's a month old now. Starting with one bottle a day.
These are some good tips and makes so much sense.I been wanting to transition my daughter to bottle because I wanted to start working.the bottle I bought and the formula didn't really worked for her at all.This was around a month and a half ago.She is now 9 months and I didn't pump either so I feel that she not getting g the sufficient amount anymore.Im going to give this a try.Im truly relief I found this video !❤

You’re very welcome! It definitely is harder when they are older but it can be done. I dried up (breastmilk) at 9 months because I got pregnant so my baby girl HAD to adjust. Consistency is key. You got this mama 💗☺️
@@NaptimeBlitz1 honestly it didn’t go as bad! After a full day of struggling she eventually took it 🙌🏼 and then I was pumping afterwards and nursing her during the night and weaned her off little by little. That wasn’t the plan to wean her off yet but my milk dried up 😭
My son is 8 months and I still haven't gotten him to transition. I tried for weeks nonstop, but no results. I've never done the heated nipples, so I'm going to do just that.

Thanks so much! I started out pumping and bottle feeding, so baby rejected the breast when we started to try. Now we are doing great with breastfeeding and he is refusing the bottle! I think if i have dad give the bottle and maybe change the nipple size as well it will go better....these tips are super helpful and encouraging, thanks!
New mom here fully breastfed 3 month old my ducts are currently clogged and I am taking the antibiotics I were prescribed but it’s hard feeding her the bottle I hope this helps I’ve tried everything from a warm cloth soak epsom salt etc.
My baby is almost 2 months old & I have to go back to work in a few wks. None of the bottles seem to work. She hates all of them & she hates pacifiers so it’s no surprise. I feel like I’ve tried all those tips besides the feeding at the same time every day. I’m freaking out!
I know it can be so hard especially when you have a timeline. I would try a very calm environment, try same time each day, make sure baby is hungry and somewhat tired and do the same routine each time you offer. Then make sure you do it consistently for 3 days in a row. Try to stay home when you are training too! I feel for you mama, hang in there 💗
the best time is when they are sleepy like one of the feeds when they wake up from sleeping. so middle of night. the worst time is when they are actually very hungry and alert during the day. and one big thing that helped my baby was to use hot water on the bottle nipple so it's warm like your skin. and when you feed you sway and rock them until they latch. i did that once a night for 3 nights and it worked best on the third night. and even if they don't wake up at night give it while they are asleep if they are older. but obv mimic that you are breastfeeding like in your arms
well try these tips, its so stressful considering in the beginning she started off on a bottle becauseni was struggling with milk supply, but once my milk came in I switched to exclusive nursing and now that she is 3 months I’m trying the bottle again and she will not take it, she will nibble on it but wont latch 😪 and i think my supply is dropping again im literally at a cross roads and i dont want her to starve 😭😩

Omg same my baby started off with a bottle at the hospital Bc I didn’t know how to breastfeed. When I got home, I started practicing and got the hang of it (yay) and started exclusively breastfeeding her but now she is refusing to take the bottle and I have to go back to work idk what to do 🥲 She nibbles but doesn’t latch

I didn’t bottle feed my first until 3 months and she never took the bottle not once I breast fed her for 3 years and it was too much she was stubborn wouldn’t wean and was clingy I’m due with my second any day and I’m planning to pump and bottle feed from about a week or two old

One more question! Were you able to bottle feed the baby yourself after she first took it or did someone else always had to bottle feed her? Did you stop breastfeeding right away?
@@majo8576 Good question! Once she took the bottle and knew it was milk and how to suck then I was able to feed her even when I was breastfeeding off and on. I just always made sure she was hungry because then she would definitely take the bottle once she knew how! I breastfed until I was pretty much fully dried up but do whatever you feel comfortable with. Most important would be to consistently do the bottle even if you are home with him/her and can/want to breastfeed. Hope that helps!

She’s three months. I didn’t start earlier because I am an independent cosmetologist and wouldn’t be working more than a few days a month. I had my first day back and she would not eat for dad at all 😩 I wish I would’ve started earlier!
I will surely try these tips. My baby is turning 8 months and when he started teething he refused his bottles. He only wants to latch on me. Hope this will help him ☺️
Jamilya Jamilya I know this can be frustrating. Have you talked to your pediatrician about what formula to try? As far as the bottles go, pick the one he seems to latch best to and go with it. Consistency really is the key with bottle feeding. Try having someone other than you bottle train, warm the formula and the nipple, make sure he’s hungry (but not starving) and a little tired is good to. Bottle train at the same times each day in the same way, in the same room so he begins to know what you are wanting him to do. Hang in there mama, if you stick with it, he will catch on very soon! 💗
Coming to this video bc my 4 month old is being introduced to cereal in a bottle but refuses to take it. Lol. She used to take a bottle really well in the beginning and now she only wants me. I will definitely try a different flow nipple, cuz I’ll lose my mind if I buy one more bottle! 🥲 thanks for the tips!
Cereal in a bottle at FOUR months old? Babies are not supposed to eat anything other than milk until 6 months old. Introducing cereal too early could affect baby’s intestines as they are too immature to digest the cereal.

My 3 month old is primarily breastfed and would take a bottle every now and then.. all of a sudden he doesn’t want the bottle AT all. Im gonna have to go back to work soon so I’m STRESSING out 😭 I tried different bottle and nipples, tried formula and breastmilk nothing is working, he is so stubborn, he gets mad if we even try to bring a bottle near him and sometimes even spits out the milk 😑 ima try some of these other tips out, hopefully I get some results 😩
That is so frustrating mama! Try these tips, my main suggestions would be to make sure milk and nipple are warm, make sure he’s hungry and try to have someone besides you do bottle training for the day! Sometimes mama can’t do the bottle because baby wants the breast! Good luck to you!
manehbag they are so stubborn lol but yes after a week of battling it out, trying different bottles and different techniques... he eventually caved in. Persistence is key! Don’t give up and just keep trying!!!
Hi! My baby is turning 13 months this month (and we need to transfer to bottle because I have to go back to work in a few weeks!) and I bought this Hegen bottle for 6m+ because the teat is shaped like a boob and nipple of mom. We are going to try it starting tomorrow but would love your suggestion if we should try to go straight to the sippy cup instead. We have a sippy cup as a backup. Thank you!
My baby girl is having such a hard time transitioning to a bottle😩 She used to take a bottle with Similac when she was just a few days old But once she started getting breast-fed more she completely stopped taking it. I’ve tried all of those different bottles I’ve even tried adding cereal to the milk breastmilk ,Similac, and enfamil but nothing 😩😩 she’s only three months so I’m not sure if giving her a sippy cup would be a good idea because she still so little but I’ll try leaving her with her dad but I’m so scared 😩 I’m Glad I’m not the only one having these problems🤦🏾♀️
I’m have been very frustrated with the problem and I’m going to try to give her the sippy cup. Just give it a try for every method you can think of eventually maybe we will find a way for them to drain from the bottom or if not then we will find a way for them to eat a list especially when I don’t have enough breastmilk and baby is not gaining enough weight

My little boy took a bottle when he was about three weeks old because I had so much milk supply. I stopped giving him a bottle around 3 months just cause my milk evened out. Now at 7 months with new teeth I’m needed him to go on the bottle and he’s refusing it 😞 I feel like I messed up and should have kept him on the bottle.

Help my baby is 2 months old and was told not to give them to avoid nipple confusion by midwives and now I'm going back to work. He screams and it was chaos i hid in the bathroom and waited to see if my husband was having any success. If he sees it he screams. I got comotomo cuz of the reviews but he hates it now. At first he drank a little from me now he hates it. I need to try a different brand hope i have success. The cup doesn't work either my mother in law tried he refuses with much screaming 😫😫 he is frustrated as much as i am
It’s so frustrating for both of you. It’s hard when you’ve had mama and now you have a bottle in your mouth 🙃 definitely just be consistent, make sure he’s hungry but not screaming, warm the milk, warm the nipple, have dad feed bottle, out some breastmilk on the tip, make sure the nipple flow is also fast enough he can taste the breastmilk right away but not too fast where he will choke. I hope that helps, he will come around. Try some different bottles and he’ll get it. Hugs 🤗

Oh and my mother in law is the one that feeds him during the days so when o go back to work it won't be much of an issue. I am hoping he'll take both breast and bottle but i am happy there is progress
I gave my baby a bottle from time to time & she took it good in the first month . also I use to use a breast shield to latch her better & I recently stopped I think that's why she doesn't want it anymore . She won't take the shield either .

My baby is 2 and half months old. She was taking breast milk and bottle simultaneously. Suddenly from last week she is refusing to take the bottle. My wife is not producing as much as she needs right now. We are really concern. Sometimes she doesn’t drink anything for 5-6 hours. So please if you can help us.
Some babies have a harder time with taking breast and nipple. The best thing you can do is to stay as consistent as possible with when baby gets breast and when she gets bottle. That way baby can come to expect. Also, your wife can try power pumping to increase breastmilk supply. Between these and the tips in the video and giving baby some time, she will catch on! Good luck! I know it can be difficult.
When I gave birth , my baby didn’t wanna take breast or bottle out of nowhere he just started getting used to it . As I am breastfeeding I think he doesn’t get as much milk that he supposed to . I can start breastfeeding at 1:40 and I’m still breastfeeding at 5:00 it’s hard because I don’t really get to sleep and I loose alots of energy and it’s stressful because he doesn’t want to eat from the bottle . So whenever he doesn’t get milk from the breast he cries a lot he doesn’t sleep he gets fussy , angry 🤦🏾♀️ I really don’t know what to do because he doesn’t get full with the breast .
I am literally having the same exact problem. My baby does well most of the time but lately she has been pulling off the breast, and gets fussy. I can tell she’s still hungry but refuses the bottle. And is not getting milk from the breast and she ends crying, and it’s really draining my energy because breastfeeding is tiring as it is on top of not getting any sleep. She refuses a pacifier too idk what to do .
@@queenm9422 yes he refuses pacifier 🤦🏾♀️ Someone told me probably he not getting full from the breast milk or my breast milk is low something like that I tried multiple times with the bottle he ends up throwing up everything inside of his stomach so that means I have to re feed him again and it’s a lot of energy that I’m losing

My baby is formula fed since he was 2mos and bottle fed ever since. He was bottle feeding well but now that he is 6mos we've been really having difficulty bottle feeding him. Mel Boco he may be wanting a faster flowing nipple as he gets older and could be getting frustrated the milk isn’t coming fast enough. Have you tried going for a new nipple that has a larger hole for the milk to come through?
Thank you for the response. He's sucking and everytime he gets the milk he spills it out and acting as if he's drowning. or heaving trouble breathing. I dont know. And every time he's aware that i am going to bottlefeed him he cries and pushes my hand or the bottle.
I'm a dad here and the baby refusing bottle feeding from me specially I work nights so I stay up until my wife comes home from work then I go to work at night but unfortunately the baby will literally wait to drink milk until my wife comes home
I’m getting sooo frustrated. Followed all your advice, tried Nuk baby bottle, straw cups, sippy cups but still my baby won’t take any. I am drying out and my baby is now in the danger zone of being underweight. I try to feed her cereal with added formula and formula in an open cup. So my baby is 9 months old turning 10 months in 2 weeks she's breastfed because I didn't have help when she was smaller and pumping was to much my baby was very fussy with colic and gas so I stopped pumping she takes a sippy cup when drinking water but I'm trying to get her to drink at least formula while I work so she won't starve 😭any tips??? she is on baby food but when it comes to naptime she needs my breasts to make her sleep I get scared she won't stop crying when she wants to sleep because my breasts won't be there for her while I'm working
Emily Castillo could you pump now that she is older? If so, you could give her breastmilk in the sippy cup while you are at work! Otherwise, you’ll have to be really consistent about formula in the sippy cup before you return to work so she is used to it by the time you are gone. It will be an adjustment period so just be prepared for tears, change is hard for anyone, babies especially but otherwise consistency will be the best thing. Good luck mama!! I hope it goes welll!!
My baby was on bottle and breastfeed for 6 months and at 6 months he refused to take bottle all of a sudden🤦♀️.... now he is 11 months old and i want to put him on bottle but he aggressively refuses to take bottle
hina iftikhar ugh that’s frustrating mama. Try different bottles and different nipple flows and be consistent. If that doesn’t work try doing a sippy cup since he’s older. Hope it gets better soon!!

Shamaila, did you watch the whole video? It’s packed with lots of tips for you to try. Consistency is going to be key and also trying a couple different bottles will be important. Make sure the nipple is warm and the milk or formula is too. Also, make sure that dad or sister or mom or aunt are doing the bottle training and not you if possible! If you keep trying at the same time each day, along with the other tips. She will get it eventually! Also make sure she’s actually hungry and ready to eat when you are offering the bottle as well! Hope that helps ☺️

I've tried her on the medela calma bottle but she absolutely does not like it also have been trying her on the MAM bottle, will ask my husband or even my eldest to try as I have been trying but have not been successful. I’m having this same problem we tried everything ! We tried sugar in bottles , juice , cinnamon in milk with sugar , Gerbers in bottles . We tried almost 8 brand of bottles . We just bought mimijumi and comotomo bottles.
Yeah stay motivated try waiting a few days than try to latch when he or she is hungry. At night my son is his so hungry and he take my breast better at night

At 3 months old a baby goes from sucking more as a reflex, to doing it deliberately, which is why it is suck a common ages for babies to start refusing a bottle
My baby is 3 months. He’s always taken a bottle, at least once a day. All of a sudden he won’t take it anymore and I have to go back to work in 2 weeks.. I’m panicking. I’ve already tried just about every bottle and the only one he seems to maybe like is the LANSINOH bottle. Wish me luck!

I appreciate anyone that is motivated to put up content, my wife does a lot of video/ editing and I appreciate the time and effort involved..In some ways I’m just stirring, in other ways I was not. I’m willing to bet there is a sheet load of dads that come across your content and immediately feel not welcome the same way I did. Might be worth considering that dads may be a little more curious/ trying to help/ and may stumble across your content more often then you realize. Brining up a family is a team effort, certainly is in our household. (I haven’t seen any of your other content, but for bottle feeding its generally accepted that someone OTHER then mum should try to get the ball rolling - might be worth considering your audience instead of using a generic mums only opening line). Thanks for the video, just some constructive feedback - as I said, i felt like “ok. Cool cool cool, I’m not welcome here, why would dad want to help with bottle feeding” - so I commented what I said above, and left hahaha 🤷🏼♂️

I went back to work and my baby refused to take the bottle with grandma and dad he was not eating and was crying a lot! For a whole week he was fighting every time with the bottle. Until I warmed the breast milk little bit more 32 -34!degrees Celsius vs 29 Celsius. And warm the bottle nipple on hot water! It work like a charm. Now my baby is taking the bottle since then! It really work!!

Came here 3 days ago desperate. This was a lifesaver for me I did a combination of these things before where I would have someone else try to feed him or try to feed him when he was going to sleep but it did not really work. I did try a few bottles and I happen to have the one that you said worked for you at my house but the game changer with heating the nipple up and getting the milk just slightly warmer than room temp which I did because you mentioned the milk not being luk warm.
I've now been able to have both my mother-in-law and me give him a bottle while he's awake warm milk, warm nipple, this bottle (NUK).

Thank you for the tips. I'm going back to work and I should have started earlier. My baby is nearly 4 months old and my first was easy because Dad would take her and do the night feeds. Having two menat he was now dealing with the older one and I just exclusively dealt with my new baby. I will be trying these tips and will give feedback on how it goes. It can be frustrating but will soldier through and together with some prayer I'm confident she will adjust.

Bought the Nuk bottle and she prefers that teat but she is not taking it fully in her mouth at least she's playing with it in her mouth which she wasn't doing at all before with the other bottle. You can squeeze the milk into her mouth so she kinda swallows some and spits the rest. So its better than it was in the beginning...she is going once a week to the day sitter who is the one working on it. Dad is not being insistent enough so depending on our day sitter to break her in. I will keep you updated. I do believe it will happen!

@@breanna2067 Yes thank the Lord she did! After a month and a half. I tried different bottles it didnt work, tried everything proposed didnt work. Went back to her origional bottle and one day she just decided to start drinking. I nearly had to send her home to my Mother (different continent) as I couldnt take time off work and that would have been the only option. Broke my heart just thinking of it but I had no other choice because she was crying all day with the lady looking after her who has other children to look after and just wouldnt eat all day until I came back. I spoke to her about it. Obviously prayed alot and one day she just started drinking and it changed everything - her mood - everything. Just hang in there and don't give up. It was a stressful time though.
Start with breast for comfort and offer bottle pressed.close to chest (in your normal feeding position). I'm doing this with my son and so far he will take an ounce before getting upset. He's a month old now. Starting with one bottle a day.

You’re very welcome! It definitely is harder when they are older but it can be done. I dried up (breastmilk) at 9 months because I got pregnant so my baby girl HAD to adjust. Consistency is key. You got this mama 💗☺️

@@NaptimeBlitz1 honestly it didn’t go as bad! After a full day of struggling she eventually took it 🙌🏼 and then I was pumping afterwards and nursing her during the night and weaned her off little by little. That wasn’t the plan to wean her off yet but my milk dried up 😭

New mom here fully breastfed 3 month old my ducts are currently clogged and I am taking the antibiotics I were prescribed but it’s hard feeding her the bottle I hope this helps I’ve tried everything from a warm cloth soak epsom salt etc.

I know it can be so hard especially when you have a timeline. I would try a very calm environment, try same time each day, make sure baby is hungry and somewhat tired and do the same routine each time you offer. Then make sure you do it consistently for 3 days in a row. Try to stay home when you are training too! I feel for you mama, hang in there 💗

the best time is when they are sleepy like one of the feeds when they wake up from sleeping. so middle of night.
the worst time is when they are actually very hungry and alert during the day.
and one big thing that helped my baby was to use hot water on the bottle nipple so it's warm like your skin. and when you feed you sway and rock them until they latch.
i did that once a night for 3 nights and it worked best on the third night. and even if they don't wake up at night give it while they are asleep if they are older. but obv mimic that you are breastfeeding like in your arms

@@majo8576 Good question! Once she took the bottle and knew it was milk and how to suck then I was able to feed her even when I was breastfeeding off and on. I just always made sure she was hungry because then she would definitely take the bottle once she knew how! I breastfed until I was pretty much fully dried up but do whatever you feel comfortable with. Most important would be to consistently do the bottle even if you are home with him/her and can/want to breastfeed. Hope that helps!

About a week of being really consistent. Instead of purees, try baby led weaning. That has worked wonders for us and has many benefits!
She’s three months. I didn’t start earlier because I am an independent cosmetologist and wouldn’t be working more than a few days a month. I had my first day back and she would not eat for dad at all 😩 I wish I would’ve started earlier!

Jamilya Jamilya I know this can be frustrating. Have you talked to your pediatrician about what formula to try? As far as the bottles go, pick the one he seems to latch best to and go with it. Consistency really is the key with bottle feeding. Try having someone other than you bottle train, warm the formula and the nipple, make sure he’s hungry (but not starving) and a little tired is good to. Bottle train at the same times each day in the same way, in the same room so he begins to know what you are wanting him to do. Hang in there mama, if you stick with it, he will catch on very soon! 💗

Cereal in a bottle at FOUR months old? Babies are not supposed to eat anything other than milk until 6 months old. Introducing cereal too early could affect baby’s intestines as they are too immature to digest the cereal.

My 3 month old is primarily breastfed and would take a bottle every now and then.. all of a sudden he doesn’t want the bottle AT all. Im gonna have to go back to work soon so I’m STRESSING out 😭 I tried different bottle and nipples, tried formula and breastmilk nothing is working, he is so stubborn, he gets mad if we even try to bring a bottle near him and sometimes even spits out the milk 😑 ima try some of these other tips out, hopefully I get some results 😩
That is so frustrating mama! Try these tips, my main suggestions would be to make sure milk and nipple are warm, make sure he’s hungry and try to have someone besides you do bottle training for the day! Sometimes mama can’t do the bottle because baby wants the breast! Good luck to you!

My baby girl is having such a hard time transitioning to a bottle😩 She used to take a bottle with Similac when she was just a few days old But once she started getting breast-fed more she completely stopped taking it. I’ve tried all of those different bottles I’ve even tried adding cereal to the milk breastmilk ,Similac, and enfamil but nothing 😩😩 she’s only three months so I’m not sure if giving her a sippy cup would be a good idea because she still so little but I’ll try leaving her with her dad but I’m so scared 😩 I’m Glad I’m not the only one having these problems🤦🏾♀️
I’m have been very frustrated with the problem and I’m going to try to give her the sippy cup. Just give it a try for every method you can think of eventually maybe we will find a way for them to drain from the bottom or if not then we will find a way for them to eat a list especially when I don’t have enough breastmilk and baby is not gaining enough weight

My little boy took a bottle when he was about three weeks old because I had so much milk supply. I stopped giving him a bottle around 3 months just cause my milk evened out. It’s so frustrating for both of you. It’s hard when you’ve had mama and now you have a bottle in your mouth 🙃 definitely just be consistent, make sure he’s hungry but not screaming, warm the milk, warm the nipple, have dad feed bottle, out some breastmilk on the tip, make sure the nipple flow is also fast enough he can taste the breastmilk right away but not too fast where he will choke. I hope that helps, he will come around. Try some different bottles and he’ll get it. Hugs 🤗

Some babies have a harder time with taking breast and nipple. The best thing you can do is to stay as consistent as possible with when baby gets breast and when she gets bottle. That way baby can come to expect. Also, your wife can try power pumping to increase breastmilk supply. Between these and the tips in the video and giving baby some time, she will catch on! Good luck! I know it can be difficult.

When I gave birth , my baby didn’t wanna take breast or bottle out of nowhere he just started getting used to it . As I am breastfeeding I think he doesn’t get as much milk that he supposed to . I am literally having the same exact problem. My baby does well most of the time but lately she has been pulling off the breast, and gets fussy. I can tell she’s still hungry but refuses the bottle. And is not getting milk from the breast and she ends crying, and it’s really draining my energy because breastfeeding is tiring as it is on top of not getting any sleep. Mel Boco he may be wanting a faster flowing nipple as he gets older and could be getting frustrated the milk isn’t coming fast enough. Have you tried going for a new nipple that has a larger hole for the milk to come through?
Thank you for the response. He's sucking and everytime he gets the milk he spills it out and acting as if he's drowning. or heaving trouble breathing. I dont know. And every time he's aware that i am going to bottlefeed him he cries and pushes my hand or the bottle.

I'm a dad here and the baby refusing bottle feeding from me specially I work nights so I stay up until my wife comes home from work then I go to work at night but unfortunately the baby will literally wait to drink milk until my wife comes home

I’m getting sooo frustrated. Followed all your advice, tried Nuk baby bottle, straw cups, sippy cups but still my baby won’t take any. I am drying out and my baby is now in the danger zone of being underweight. I try to feed her cereal with added formula and formula in an open cup. We are getting an appointment with our pedia in a few days now. I am desperate desperate in saving my baby but I don’t know what to do now 😭😭😭😭

Hey! So my baby is 9 months old turning 10 months in 2 weeks she's breastfed because I didn't have help when she was smaller and pumping was to much my baby was very fussy with colic and gas so I stopped pumping she takes a sippy cup when drinking water but I'm trying to get her to drink at least formula while I work so she won't starve 😭any tips??? she is on baby food but when it comes to naptime she needs my breasts to make her sleep I get scared she won't stop crying when she wants to sleep because my breasts won't be there for her while I'm working
Emily Castillo could you pump now that she is older? If so, you could give her breastmilk in the sippy cup while you are at work! Otherwise, you’ll have to be really consistent about formula in the sippy cup before you return to work so she is used to it by the time you are gone. It will be an adjustment period so just be prepared for tears, change is hard for anyone, babies especially but otherwise consistency will be the best thing. Good luck mama!! I hope it goes welll!!
My baby was on bottle and breastfeed for 6 months and at 6 months he refused to take bottle all of a sudden🤦♀️.... now he is 11 months old and i want to put him on bottle but he aggressively refuses to take bottle
hina iftikhar ugh that’s frustrating mama. Try different bottles and different nipple flows and be consistent. If that doesn’t work try doing a sippy cup since he’s older. Hope it gets better soon!!

Shamaila, did you watch the whole video? It’s packed with lots of tips for you to try. Consistency is going to be key and also trying a couple different bottles will be important. Make sure the nipple is warm and the milk or formula is too. Also, make sure that dad or sister or mom or aunt are doing the bottle training and not you if possible! If you keep trying at the same time each day, along with the other tips. She will get it eventually! Also make sure she’s actually hungry and ready to eat when you are offering the bottle as well! Hope that helps ☺️

I've tried her on the medela calma bottle but she absolutely does not like it also have been trying her on the MAM bottle, will ask my husband or even my eldest to try as I have been trying but have not been successful. At 3 months old a baby goes from sucking more as a reflex, to doing it deliberately, which is why it is suck a common ages for babies to start refusing a bottle

I appreciate anyone that is motivated to put up content, my wife does a lot of video/ editing and I appreciate the time and effort involved..In some ways I’m just stirring, in other ways I was not. I’m willing to bet there is a sheet load of dads that come across your content and immediately feel not welcome the same way I did. Might be worth considering that dads may be a little more curious/ trying to help/ and may stumble across your content more often then you realize. Brining up a family is a team effort, certainly is in our household. (I haven’t seen any of your other content, but for bottle feeding its generally accepted that someone OTHER then mum should try to get the ball rolling - might be worth considering your audience instead of using a generic mums only opening line). Thanks for the video, just some constructive feedback - as I said, i felt like “ok. Cool cool cool, I’m not welcome here, why would dad want to help with bottle feeding” - so I commented what I said above, and left hahaha 🤷🏼♂️
I get that. My intent is not for dads to feel unwelcome. However my business is called let’s mama and is for moms. My business is for pregnancy and birth help specifically so that’s why I brand my channel in this way. Moms are my target audience but I’m glad you found the information helpful!
