Now this is a story that I liked very much. Thomas interacting with Douglas and holding a grudge against Douglas for misplacing his special coach. Thomas being puffed up in his smoke box and then getting himself into trouble again was a surprise to me. Plus, I loved the references you put in to make it work with the episodes after 'The Deputation'. Well done on making this episode.
I like these stories which describe events outside of Awdry's writings but are plausible events between main stories and kept in the style and spirit of Awdry's work. Takes a lot of skill and creativity to make good stories like this which fit into the canon of lore!
This is quite a nice venture, having Thomas hold this incident against Douglas. The passengers complaining helped make this come full circle. If this story was in the Classic Series, maybe the Missing Coach episode wouldn’t have been scrapped. Just a thought.
Great story. It was oddly satisfying to see Thomas told off for being rude to Douglas about the special coach. Even more so to see a dynamic between Thomas and Douglas when they barely interact in the book series, or the TV series. Also, tell Sir Topham to get off his soapbox! The stationmaster's house wasn't Thomas's fault.
I always knew Thomas and Douglas would have a rivalry! Great job this was spectacular! Loved how you added the Thomas Comes to Breakfast part at the end ;)
Sir Topham Hatt is his real name whereas The Fat Controller is a nickname. Plus it was done to avoid confusion as there has been three controllers with Sir Richard acting as the fourth and he, Sir Richard, is currently called The Fat Controller in my series.
@@NWR1991i have a story idea where one of Thomas' siblings creeps onto sodor after a several decades long mission to get to sodor and be preserved. Now this sibling is quite disheveled and has an eyepatch, scratches all over, a scar, missing parts including sidrods buffers and funnel, and is quite rusty and is brought in by BoCo after barley getting back to sodor with the withered engine.
Yes but I remember hearing from the Awdry lecture that the pictures in the books aren't 'accurate' to the 'real thing', his way to make Sodor feel real. So even though they were black in the book it's more of an error, basically that idea was made because of the constant illustration errors in the books.
So THATS what this episode is about, the aftermath from the special coach story… going to love to see how this episode plays out…
Wow, this is actually clever, showing Thomas and Douglas still didn't get along after the incident with the special coach. I love all the setups!
Great follow-up to The Missing Coach. Thomas can be really stubborn, but his ability to hold a grudge as well, wow.
That's season 2 Thomas for you.

yeah
Good to see Sir Charles Topham Hatt giving Thomas a tonuge lashing he really acted like a jerk throughout the episode.

Couldn't have said it better!
The chemistry between Thomas and Douglas is spot on!
A sequel to the missing coach story huh? This going to be interesting can’t wait for it.
Oh, how I wish this was an official Season 2 episode!
Really loved the foreshadowing and setup for ‘Thomas Comes To Breakfast’ at the end. Keep it up man.
Love the homages you made to episodes, and a focus on Thomas and Douglas. Very nice idea to make stories with characters who don't usually interact.
Oh boy, another flashback to Thomas' bratty whining days.
I wonder who's telling the story to who this time.
What a very good story!
I like the idea of Thomas holding a grudge against Douglas.

Very interesting character dynamic.
Now This is a Great Story at That, I sure do Enjoy It.

Very nice sequel to the Missing Coach.
I’ve never seen a matchup like this, or even a twin is by themselves

im excited
I can’t wait
Outstanding once again NWR!
Just curious: how come you use the CGI series whistles for Donald and Douglas, and not the model series whistles?
The CG whistles are most distinct than the toned down version of Duck's whistle.
Ahh; makes sense.
Once again, another BANGER video, mate!
Very good!
But the twins were painted black in the RWS picture in Thomas comes to breakfast.
