I don’t mean any malice towards Dew but what he described about the way he deals with conflict is to “be alone and Shuts everyone out” and “ignoring his gf’s insecurities” is a very serious issue called “stonewalling”. And this is a defensive or coping strategy learnt in childhood and it can cause serious emotional harm to an adult relationship. Where communication and understanding is needed. Unfortunately, by doing this the problem would not go away and would in turn make the other partner be more anxious and insecure because they are not receiving any feedback or solution from their partner and they would feel trapped in their issue. I think Dew is a great person and host but he probably needs to look into the way he deals and resolves conflict or else it would be very hard for him to be in a emotionally healthy relationship

Tbh theres a lot of different ways to solve or deal with problems, if you simply object the way the other person deals with things and you cannot stand it, just don’t be with that person la, if not the same argument will always occur again and again. For example, Im totally like dew, i hate it when i want to be left alone when i see no end to the fight and the other party keeps probing which makes me even more annoyed instead. Thats just how diff people deal with their problems, it may not be the best, but if you are unable to compromise then simply don’t be with the person. Most importantly, to people who are very insecure, you need to take yourselves seriously first before anyone else can take you seriously. For example, if you see your bf flirting with other girls and he says theyre just friends, you have to do the objective judgement yourself whether theres really nothing going on. If your bf is really flirting, I don’t even understand you you’re with that person ah. But if theyre just friends and youre jealous, or you know the girl might like your bf but he definitely doesnt like her back, then just be confident and face your rival head on (not fight or scold please just mark your territory politely) This will definitely not start a fight and also not spoil any relationships :) Fighting!!
