    I support Dr Abbati statement regarding ADC camp (Police or Military officers) standing behind Governors and president in Nigeria. It is right time to stop that military regime policies and procedure! We are in democracy for Christ sake! Let's get rid of this ADC camp polices!

    I have come around to admire all you ladies and gentlemen. The Nigeria Ghana trade issue has not been resolved because Nigeria refuses to open it's borders. Until then, there will be an impasse. I have come to realized that Dr. Bati (excuse my spelling) is very objective.

    Well spoken Dr Abati, that was exactly my thought, fhat the governor should hv at least pause/stop to see that his aid was okay before containing It only just being humane & compassionate towards a fellow citizen. I guess this is also general opinion. I also dont see the need for and aide standing behind governor and president during press report or presidents sitting to address the nation. Tis really colonial and even continually reading from scripts

    I totally disagree with the male guest saying Ghana should vote for his John MAHAMA. If you don’t know his own party (National Democratic Congress) terribly betrayed him and his family that always left an unforgettable disappointment and bitterness in him throughout the rest of his live.
    On the contrary NPP government and the current President Nana Akuffo Addo rather supported him and his family till he died. Whiles his own party insulted and disrespected him, the opposition party and the current government rather catered for him and supported him through so why should the man says Ghanaians should vote for MAHAMA to honour jerry John Rawlings.

    It's obvious that Rufai did not see that corruption kills more people than guns. If you want to be just, you have to weigh in on issues from all angles. The question that begs to be answered is that does Rawlings meant well for Ghana? but the rest is history today as we can all see.

    Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. In the case of Africa/Ghana where politics is viewed through lens of raw power not the rule of law. There must be redemptive use and application of raw power for good governance to emerge for the benefit of the majority. This is called the political will to self correct which Jerry Rawlings applied in Ghananian politics. The rest is history.

    Why is this guy talking with a frown face like that? Is he fighting someone? What has Rawlings legacy got to do with compliance if laws in Ghana. Has it never come to your mind that the Nigerian petty traders in Ghana are breaking a law in Ghana and so they should abide by Ghanaian laws? Abacha gave 2 million dollars to Rawlings? We have heard about that, but it was between the two, not the nations. Have you bothered to find out how Ghana under Nkrumah assisted Nigeria to independence? How about Afrifa helping and guiding Yakubu Gowun in transforming Nigeria to independence? This guy needs more information and education.
    Buhari was once a military leader in Nigeria too

    • @Zaramoku
      @Zaramoku 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You almost ruined your point with the lie "about Afrifa helping and guiding Yakubu Gowun in transforming Nigeria to independence". Gowon and Afrifa were classmates at Sandhurst; Gowon was an aide to Head of State General Ironsi before Afrifa joined Kotoka to overthrow Nkrumah; Gowon was Head of State when Afrifa was just a mere member of the governing NLC in Ghana; Gowon was a full General (by virtue of his prosecuting a war in Nigeria) when Afrifa was still a Colonel; Afrifa didn't become head of the governing NLC (after throwing Ankrah under the bus, the same thing he allegedly did to cause Kotoka's death) until April 1969 (and held it for less than a year) nine years after Nigeria had gained Independence from Britain and about three years after Gowon had been Head of State. How could have Afrifa accomplished what you ascribed to him from his subordinate positions relative to Gowon's?

    • @brownoppong834
      @brownoppong834 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Zaramoku check your facts and history, it's true they were classmates at Sandhurst. They both became heads of state. Afrifa however assisted Gowon in transforming Nigeria back to democracy the same way he transformed Ghana back to democracy in 1969. Not to show you far, check one of Adeyinka's youtube postings titled "Afrifa visits Gowon(both generals) to confirm this little fact.

    • @Zaramoku
      @Zaramoku 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brownoppong834: You just repeated the same falsehood that I had debunked, without adducing any facts. Afrifa's visit to Nigeria in 1969 is irrelevant to the story you fabricated; it had nothing to do with transforming Nigeria to democracy; Afrifa couldn't even do anything of that sort even if he wanted to, because he was inferior to Gowon in every particular material at that time. Gowon did not transform Nigeria into democracy whatsoever, he even renegade on a promise to do so and that was why his subordinates overthrew him in 1975. Nigeria didn't return to civilian democracy until October 1979, more than a decade after Afrifa's visit to Nigeria and about 4 months after Afrifa had been executed, specifically for dethroning the democratically elected government of Nkrumah. Are you even aware that Afrifa's crimes, for which he was charged and executed, were for overthrowing an elected government in 1966 and for abusing the armed forces promotion scheme, through which he promoted himself from a Temporary Major in 1966 to a Lieutenant General in three years? In light of all these, how dare you utter these embarrassing falsehoods? You need to get yourself educated on certain subject matters before trying to lecture your superiors on such subjects.

    • @brownoppong834
      @brownoppong834 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Zaramoku Hello little boy that calls himself superior, Afrifa was not sentenced to death by a court of competent jurisdiction, you need to learn. It was a military young officers revolution that killed him(and other 2 former military heads of state) for fear that those generals may come come back to retaliate their actions. There was even a constitutional immunity that covered the three just as it covered Rawlings until his death last week. Stop exposing your ignorance.I cited you that example for you to learn just a bit from their speeches, it matters only if you want to learn. The fact that the subordinates of Yakubu Gowon did overthrow him meant that they did take lessons from the advise that Afrifa gave him to transform his country into a democratic one. It really does not matter how long it took. Why do you want to present information here like you are writing to your grandparents and interpreting for them at the same time? Do you understand who/what a subordinate is? May be you do not. Where in the hell do you describe Afrifa as Subordinate to Gowon? Did Afrifa work in Nigeria under Gowon's government? Hell no. They both were mates at Sandhurst as I indicated earlier and later became heads of state of their respective countries. As to when and how who became a general is a matter for the armed forces to determine. It's not for you to credit or discredit. You got the whole thing wrong. You shouldn't be attempting to throw dust into the eyes of the good readers here on you tube. You will need to learn to get your facts across before you come here you misinform. Try to digest information and analyse them before you decide to educate on a public domain. I am sending this as my last response to your writings because I am not going to spend precious time on information from someone who is soo confined to his little childhood knowledge that he does not want to broaden his mental scope/horizon.

    We the good people Ghana will not be deceived by so-called revolutionaries which morphs into political fronts but have no policy and programs. Rawlings, in as much as we the good people Ghana admire his candor, during his tenure he became very corrupt and nepotism became rampant. John Mahama is the worse president and he will NEVER be president of Ghana again. We are not ignorant about development and have improved in our democracy which I think Nigeria is still trying to figure out themselves. Some Nigerians admire revolutionary entities and talkers like Rawlings...most Ghanaians have gone beyond that I believe.

    • @kenb4796
      @kenb4796 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@elimablaygee8118 Well, in Ghana's case, the political system, although still at it's infancy like most African countries experiences, seems to be improving. There are very few cases of abuse without remedies or actions. At least, there appears to be more accountability, the media is extremely vibrant, sometimes way too vibrant than people like. The soldiers are no longer patrolling and intimidating the citizenry as before. It's not perfect but better than the good old days. It appears that most Ghanaians are not condoning revolutionary minded ideals anymore. Frankly, the economic gains are a testament of this new democracy that we are experimenting and have taken foot into most people's daily cultural exposure. Private citizens are not deemed thieves with their investments confiscated by the state on some obscure military laws like during the Rawlings era. Our elections, still not perfect, are not fueled by people being afraid to vote and being intimidated by the person with guns, etc.etc.
