The details, the custom art, the custom windows and fireplaces, the amount of effort that must have gone into making this, everything is just perfection!! Wow!
lol I am glad you liked that! I always dislike how chessboards can only use dining chairs, and only when pushed in perfectly. So this was my workaround to keep it cozy ☺️
I dislike that, too! In game I usually put more "puffy" chairs to make it feel cosy, but this is waay better! Thinking about it... You did an amazing job with all the tiny details and I got carried away with the chairs... I'm so sorry🤣 I love your builds!
Whenever I watch any of your videos, I continue to repeat "No way" like some kind of broken record, as though I didn't know by now that you're amazing. With all the beautiful details (the WINDOW in the common room; I'm melting! The ceiling LAMP! The see-through wooden ceiling idea, the fireplace, the beds, the STOVE, all the books and paintings, the notice board, and, funnily enough, the nice design of the bathroom) this place is packed with, it's really funny to me that I was excited about you making a chess table with armchairs work ... 😂 I often find that it can be the hardest part not just to create something that looks like what I'm imagining, but to make it in a way that is doesn't block paths or hinder gameplay. You go one step further: You try to create things that actually function. Much time, energy, and creativity goes into that. This series is like a box of very expensive chocolates of which I can only have one small tiny treat every once in a while - except it's free. 🥰 Amazing.
😭😭😭 OMG Alisa every time you comment you make me SO happy! I never knew that having my videos compared to a box of chocolates would bring me so much joy 😂 and as always, thank you for appreciating all the little details, always warms my heart! Hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving week my friend! ❤️❤️❤️
WOW, this build just makes me all the more excited to see what you have in store for the Hufflepuff & Ravenclaw common rooms. I just know that I'll be left speechless once again! Loved the intricate chandellier you basically created from scratch! ❤🔥How do you even come up with such awesome ideas?! Truly marvellous!
Thank you! Yes I would die from happiness if we got functional spiral stairs in game! Heck, even non functional. Then I could still do my same hidden ladder trick but save myself the hours of TOOL crafting 😂
@@TheSimScrolls I hear ya lol. I still have my fingers crossed hoping that one day we'll get them. 🤞But knowing that we MIGHT not since they gave us ladders.. I would have chosen spiral staircases over ladders any day but that's me.
Thank you! I will be don’t worry ☺️ Just got a little burnt out and needed a small break from it. But I am planning at least 5 more videos in the series ❤️
This is so an astonishingly amazing build! Definitely the most cool Hogwarts i've seen till now 😍 Great job!👏 One thing, once it has been done, could you please upload it externally ? Not only to the gallery, thanks in advance!
I just found your channel and builds last month, and have been like, obsessed. They're so great, detailed, and innovative! Are you just going off of the books/movies as inspiration and reference? Or have you been following up with the design reveals from Hogwarts Legacy? (Spoilers: they're dreamy) I also just started playing around with the tool mod myself, inspired by all of the miracles builders like you seem to accomplish with it. LOL. Out of curiosity, how is functionality with these Hogwarts builds? There's a lot of stuff that's just straight up brilliant and logically work out in my brain (Shrinking the chairs and replacing them with cozy ones for the chess board was genius), but I'm wondering as to the spiral staircase, and the pathing around the beds in the dorm. Is all of it functional, or are there work arounds for Sims to actively use the space?
Wow thank you so much for your awesome comment! I am so happy to have you here ☺️ To answer your great questions: Yes, accuracy to the movie castle was my main goal. This was a bit tricky as the castle changed quite a bit over the films. For the shell/layout, I mostly followed the Half Blood Prince version as it was my favorite. But for the interior rooms, I sort of cherry picked which movie for each room that I liked the best. There are also a few rooms/areas that are not 100% faithful due to space and/or object limitations. But I heavily prioritized the big ones for accuracy, like all the common rooms, great hall, dumbledores office, etc. I have not used Hogwarts Legacy as a reference at all, as it is so different. But I agree, it looks absolutely gorgeous, and I will likely give this version a makeover when the game comes out to be faithful to the game version. As to functionality, I would say 95% of what you see is functional, and always when it matters! I rigorously playtest my builds, so they are totally approved for gameplay. For example, the beds are all accessible and functional, the spiral staircase hides a ladder that is accessible by your sims, the armchairs were raised up from the basement below and hide sized down dining chairs, so the chess board is still functional, etc. I do occasionally add items that are not functional, but they will always be additional items to a room that act as a decor piece, never a main item/furniture that would be needed for gameplay. Hope this helps ☺️ And I hope you continue to enjoy the series! I have several more videos on the docket 😃
Your work is the best I've ever seen! I'm enjoying the game with your build. However, while playing the game, jungle pack bugs (such as bees and spiders) appear, which is inconvenient. Is there any way to get rid of them? I searched several ways but couldn't find it. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you very much! I have learned that comes from using jungle adventure build items (such an inconvenient feature for us builders!) I remember seeing a mod that deactivates insects in the game, I will try to find it again and reply the link for you 🙂
Hello there! I used the TOOL mod by twisted Mexi to rotate the objects, but you dont need the mod to download Hogwarts from the gallery as-is. There is also a functional ladder hidden in the staircase. 🙂
Do you mean packs? I cannot remember all the packs used in this specific room. You could check for packs on the gallery, but that will be for the entire castle.
@@jasmineBloodrose Thanks for the suggestion :) I had already built the whole castle before we got a peak at Hogwarts Legacy, so those two common rooms are just from my own imagination and artwork I found on pinterest :) But I think it could be really fun to eventually give my castle a makeover to be true to the game version, because it looks SO dreamy!
@@jasmineBloodrose I do have that pack already, but this version of Hogwarts I am keeping completely CC free so it can be downloaded and enjoyed by all :) But I plan to give it a makeover later to be a CC version that I will upload to Curseforge!
I use something called the TOOL mod, that lets you rotate and manipulate objects to be able to create custom items. But you don’t need the mod to download and use the build, and I rigorously playtest to make sure it does not obstruct the sims path or impact gameplay, so everything is functional ☺️
Yes I have a weird obsession with creating my own custom objects and furniture by combing multiple objects together lol. And the whole build is playtested and functional!

The fact you added young Professor Minerva McGonagall’s portrait is just Legendary
