    The Invictor is a decent unit and not a bad choice. However I have not yet seen him in top meta lists or top tables... the problem is the missing dreadnought (and phobos) keyword and the current ruleset allowing the initiative seizing. In an IH list I would always prefer the dreadnoughts over the warsuits (esp the current forgeworld ones, pre nerf haha). RG currently tends to use cents as they are a bigger threat and more worth the CP investment.

    I did not use an Invictor the other day but I did use a 10 wound Dark Talon against a heavy Psychic Tzeentch Army. The Dark Talon was far forward making him casts all his smites at it. Armour of contempt was a God send. He actually survived some 5 or 6 psychic assaults and was still there the next turn. So I would think a forward deployed Invictor with 3 more wounds would serve as well if not better in that scenario. Dark Angel Invictors are awesome with that 18 inch super flamer range. You can actually shoot the unit behind your assault target and lessen the chance of a counter charge in your opponent's turn.

    I just bought 3 a week ago, I just need to paint them under the Ultramarine banner. Big fan of your work, in a way I don’t want anyone to know about this high level data, but in truth it needs to be known to keep the scene strong

    OK. OK. Hold on. It has a heavy bolter as a side arm. Cool. In melee combat it can shoot the heavy bolter as if it were a pistol. Cool. Cool cool cool. Then it punches with its fist.
    So... what exactly is shooting the heavy bolter? Is he juggling the damn thing? Is there a cod-piece mount? What am I missing here?

      He has a holster. He just sticks it in the holster to punch and pulls it out to shoot. If you look at his hip you can see the little metal holster he can stick the heavy botler into. You can even model it holstered.

      There's a bunch of weird oddities in how models handle weapons. Captains have: 1 Bolt Pistol, 1 MC Boltgun, and 1 Chainsword. You can replace his boltgun with a pistol--say Plasma for maximum Cypher silliness--and his chainsword with a Thunder Hammer, a 2-handed melee weapon. So your captain can whip out two pistols, fire them in close quarters, then holster them, draw his big Thunder Hammer, and then smash the enemy.

    I at least use 2 of these bad boys for my Scars. They are a great threat and they have to get focused turn 1 leaving my Bikes pretty much untouched and can roll up turn 1 and start opening fire. My Bikes are the heart of my Army so losing these guys isn't to bad. I love them.

    • @auspextactics
      @auspextactics 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, they're kind of a win either way. Either they draw a ton of fire and leave your other stuff safe or they make a big impact on the enemy army :)

    • @oXWhiteScarsXo
      @oXWhiteScarsXo 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@auspextactics Exactly. And you know as well as I do that putting heavy pressure on your enemy makes them mess up. That's all my focus for my scars. Hit Hard and fast so they cant really figure out what to target haha.
