i was thinking, the description for mermonkey is something like paths for damage, bloon cleanup and support i thought it meant top path for damage, middle path for bloon cleanup and bottom path for support but could the top and bottom path be the other way around??

One recommendation to make the placement of the tower easier is to download the "copy/paste towers" mod, you can place one tower upgrade it and copy-paste the same tower, that combined with "the auto nudge" mod will make your life a whole lot easier. Like so he can see!

The reason the mermmonkeys did so well against 2 zomgs is beacause their attacks are very tiny explosions so they attacked the zomg twice in one attack

For clarification, when the game says low-tier MOAB class bloons, it means bloons with the health of a MOAB or BFB. DDTs have the same health as a MOAB, hence why they are affected.
The new tower is probably one of my favorites in the game. I just like the designs and the upgrades. When I usually upgrade mermonkey I usually get 2 of the bottom path to get that bonus range
At the end, that dark circle "holding up" the other mermonkeys is the aura given off by tier 5 tentacle monkey that's essentially a reverse mid-tier ice tower. Aka, it allows you to place water towers on land, like the ice monkey lets you place land towers on the water. I guess since mermonks are amphibious, they can be placed on the land, and later, potentially, considered on the water after you upgrade

Mermonkey in a nutshell: 5-X-X Half support, half AoE machine. Provides a pierce buff (+30% of a tower's base pierce) to towers in range, slows inked bloons, and deals 50 damage with 80 pierce per each of its 8 tentacles. X-5-X A dps machine, this monkey has high pierce and damage with growing projectiles. The activated ability deals 9 damage to all bloons (enough to wipe out rainbows) and increases throwing speed and tridents thrown by 2x and 3x respectively. X-X-5 A support focused monkey, not strong but it can stall any type of bloon except BADs and bosses. You can put it's melody anywhere on the map, a good place to put it is on top of the Lord of the Abyss so it can attack with all 8 tentacles. Edit: One more small note on the X-X-5, definitely not a huge part of the tower: It instantaneously causes DoT effects to apply all their damage at once. This means the Glave Lord goes from 100 dps over 15 seconds to 1500 damage every time it shoots. Just a small note.
I've got a great tip for your mental and physical health: you can spam abilties by pressing the numbers on your keyboard the number 1 is your first abiltie on the bottom left, number 2 is the second abilitie on the bottom left (wich you dont need in this case) and so on.
The issue with the Mermonkey is they do the best when paired with the other paths, not all the same type. If you have 1x 5-0-2, 1x 2-0-5, and 3x 2-5-0 then you get the 3x middle paths as your damage and they get bonuses from the top and bottom paths. This makes your middle paths + abilities extra powerful. I the best setup of this would be some pools with your 5-0-2s and 2-0-5s in them with a tower right next to them scattered around the map and then your 2-5-0s everywhere else. This will give you the high damage and abilities from the towers but get all the buffs from the top and bottom paths.
I found out that running a 2/0/4 mermonkey and a 0/2/4 glue monkey work well together. The 4/2/0 glue monkey is good for the insta melt damage that the mermonkey can proc when it sings.
If I'm looking at the Mermonkey correctly, an 0/5/2 hits everything. Middle path tier 3 or 4 gives lead popping, and tier 1 bottom path gives camo. Freezing + seeking means regrows aren't too big a problem either.
Cool little tip for the top path tier 5, it says bring the power of the depths to the surface and it lets you place water based towers around it you can fit a decent amount either way good placement
In theory, when you lose a round and are about to upgrade all of your towers, wouldn't it be easier to go backwards one round? You already know the previous upgrades could beat it so it's a guaranteed clear, and then you don't have to worry about losing your progress or needing to make room for a Permaspike Tower.
I want u to try the last t5 you did in this video spammed as much as u can, but with a single glaive lord and a single bloon solver in the front of the track. Watch what that does to bads.
Next time you do a vid like this remember that you can ultraboost villages to increase the range, this way the mib will reach almost everything with ease.
I'm late, but the round 80 ZOMG spawned more copies of children and most towers suffer from getting pierce capped. It's why they could handle 2 ZOMGs later with the tier 1 monkeys. You can thank Ceramics becoming Super Ceramics for that. Also, Top path mermonkey is a mix of utility and damage, middle path is mostly damage (4th tier gets lead popping), bottom is mostly utility (w/ camo)
For final harmonic. You should have used something like a bottom path mortar. Or top pat Boomer. Just for the finale. Because thoses have damage over time effects. And since it can't grab bads. It will rzpeteadly deal the damage over time effect instead of just once.
The top path's tentacles have massive pierce but mediocre damage, so they are amazing against rushes, like the ceramic ones, but do very poorly against single targets, that is why they only reached round 140
Top path is a semi-support (extra 30% pierce to towers around it and slowing ink) and the bottom path is a full support while the mid path is pure DPS, so the rankings make sense.
Being honest, i didnt use this tower much because it simply didnt cached my attencion. But after how good the 005 is for his/her (idfk) price i started to used them much more
Top path is more of a multi target damage dealer/support which is why they didn’t do good against the bads, mid path is more of a single target damage dealer, and bottom path is pretty much only for support.
Very cool tower, might be my favorite, top path is the cool edgy tower and it has really good synergy with certain towers plus its passive is awesome, Bottom Path is just satisfying and is a crazy combo with Bloon Solver and Glaive Lord, Middle Path is cool and ive tried so hard to do 2tc's with it and ice monkey and top path druid but camo purples can only be hit by the ability, and ice combo cant kill the moab without the mermonkey having top crosspath.
Im late but the reason the 2-4-0s were capable of beating the ddts isn't a damage increase but the tier 4 can pop leads.... so instead of only those under a mib, all were able to deal damage...
You should try this again with the last tier, with a few tier 5 top path glue gunners. So you can see the true power of the tier 5 bottom both Mermonkey.
Instead of placing mibs I think you should mod the game so every tower had it's effects, or increased it's range so that one mib in a corner could cover the whole map. When you have to scatter them around it just doesn't feel quite right because you have to remove towers, and not all towers get the effect

Just a thought, but wouldn’t it be worthwhile to make a macro to press left mouse click automatically so you don’t have to spam the abilities yourself?
What if instead of having to put down mibs and camo traps you can install a mod that makes it so every monkey can hit everything (if a mod like that exists) and then for water monkeys instead of having to do pools you can find/create a map in the map editor of an exact replica of monkey meadows but the grass is replaced with water I don’t know how like realistic these things would work but just an idea

4:15 i assume there were more stray shots hitting both zomgs so they popped faster, and since they were spaced most of the towers shooting them wouldnt have shot the other one anyway
video idea: when paragons will get fixed then try out every 5 tier of that tower and how faar it will get example: (5-0-0 0-5-0 0-0-5 dart monkey) then compare and try to see how far a 5-5-5 version of that tower gets (example 5-5-5 dart monkey) AN THEN compare it to the PARAGON of that tower and if you want you can compare the degree 1 paragon and the rest to the degree 100 paragon so basiclly just made a video about how far every tier 5 tower can get BUT not like one you did, but like the one you did on shorts so baciclly there are 3 tier 5's at once and yea then compare it :)
The 5-0-0 is like the t3 and up middle path ice monkey for water tower witch gives the other top path t5 the “35” in range instead of the “28 or some” giving the top path the upper hand yet it still did the worst (prob I’m guessing I have not seen bottom path in the timespan of creation of this comment please do not give me hate if bottom path did worse than top) “No that wasn’t computer generated, y?”
Neo you should get an autoclicker for when you have to use abilities you dont have to set it super super fast but it will help with the stress on you're fingers!

The top and bottom path of the mermonkey are more support than dps. The middle path is supposed to be the “dps” path for the mermonkey

As a monkey city gamer, yes i do remember the bloonchipper. The way it sucked in ZOMG's was relly helpful

The 5-0-0 is like the t3 and up middle path ice monkey for water tower witch gives the other top path t5 the “35” in range instead of the “28 or some” giving the top path the upper hand yet it still did the worst (prob I’m guessing I have not seen bottom path in the timespan of creation of this comment please do not give me hate if bottom path did worse than top)

I think the bottom path makes her look adorable especially with the pink
should use the godboosted mod to super buff village to cover the whole map so you only need one and all the towers have the MIB buff
