I love how Trump was excited to do his gibbering play in the third match and then it just failed horribly to coin hero power from the opponent

That Priest got disgustingly lucky with stealing your treasure, and most of your power cards being towards the bottom. An earlier Survival would have won the game easily.
The fact that he didn't keep that card in the opening hand lost him that game. That + choosing another guardian animals from nature's studies.
Well not that easy considering priest is one of the top classes of this mode.
@@NestedQuantifier Picking Guardian Animals in that spot was definitely the right call. You don't care if you end up with one or two dead "Guardian Animals" in your hand down the line, the current tempo, pressure, and card draw are far more important. Keeping Survival of the Fittest is probably more of a reasonable comment, but even that is just you looking at the situation in hindsight... you can't exactly call not keeping a 10 drop in your starting hand a misplay, and a 10-drop that's terrible if you're behind at that. Priest in this game mode can put on some crazy tempo if they have something like the Robes, if you're keeping 10-drops you're going to run into a situation where they just take control of the board, and then you have a useless Survival in your hand while you have no minions on the board and your opponent is threatening lethal.
Beta Factor robes is still being offered in duels? it still hasn't been removed yet?
@@RemagEnagemato It has, but I watched this game live when he was streaming and I think Robes were still available at the time. I could be wrong though, I'm really not 100% sure. I should have probably given a different example, like the Goggles (your leftmost card costs 2 less) or the deathrattle treasure, my point was just that Priest in Duels is a class that can put on a TON of tempo, they have good cards, an amazing hero power and one of the best starting treasures in the game. So keeping (slow) 10-drops against them can be a dangerous proposition.

Ive noticed how Trump in general does not play very well with the 20 hp in the first match, its such a buff to greedy aggro play and he doesnt play well with it.

I really feel like that mage in game three was so caught off guard. He’s probably sitting here all game like “AHA! I’m winning so hard!” only to lose in two turns from guardian animals into the +2/+2 and taunt card LOL
Why is scattered caltrops nerfed so much. The 1 damage to anything Played wasn’t excessive I didn’t feel, but only to the first minion each turn seems very weak
There's two, scattered caltrops and caltrops, scattered only hits the 1st caltrops hits everything
There’s 2 different cards, one does one to every minion played in the turn, one does one to the first minion played every turn. He had both so his passives did 2 damage to the first minion then 1 to all other minions.
Trump may never see this but I hope he knows how much I and many others love his content.

Multiple treasures have weaker/stronger versions of themselves depending on what stage of the run they are offered
@@SuperSymn But even the "stronger" version of the Caltrops is usually extremely weak, especially when it's paired against all the other choices of the actually 'strong' treasures.
They would probably still be pretty weak even if they did the sensible buff of dealing 1 damage to the *summoned* minions instead of just the _played_ ones...

Wait, is Robes of Shrinking just directly worse than that "Your spells cost 1 less" thing? You would think that they would all be about equally balanced, but apparently not.
The first treasure you get is weaker... just like the first caltrops Trump got only deals 1 damage to the FIRST minion the opponent plays while the second one he got deals 1 damage to ALL minions the opponent plays
Same with spells you draw cost 1 less this turn is weaker version of spells cost 1 less

It took me a while to realize it but Fatal Core in conception is kinda like Elements the Card Game, which I put tons of hours into when I was in highschool.

At 20:40ish, Trump misses the easiest lethal imaginable by not just killing off his Gib to ensure he'd have the board space to summon 2 rushing beasts, which would give him +3 damage to face.
Then he masterfully pilots the deck for literally 9 minutes saving every bit of removal and card to extract maximum value against the opponent. For real wtf

What the hell were the plays on the last 2 games? Letting that huge poison freshman live into the no draw first panther attack. Not casting survival that turn coat you the game against the priest. Then in the pally game you just greeded yourself into hero powering for literally half the game.
