I got 89 answers right - and I am happy with my score ; at the very least I can hold my head up knowing I didn't lie and say I got more right than I actually did - unlike some individuals claiming to have gotten them all correct ....
question #37 has 2 correct answers- the Sinai Peninsula is part of Asia, the rest of Egypt is in Africa. Turkey is also transcontinental. Panama also spans two continents...
This quiz tests only general knowledge and needs only memory. To test the intelligency, you need also questions which measure logic and reasoning of all types.
Actually incorrect, If exact sized objects with a different mass are dropped from the same height, objects with different masses should hit the ground at the same time because Earth's acceleration is the same for everything. However, air resistance can affect the outcome of the experiment. Air resistance is a force that pushes against an object in the opposite direction of Earth's pull. The force of air resistance is proportional to the area of the object, while mass is proportional to volume. This means that heavier objects can often fall faster than lighter objects because they are better able to push through the air. For example, a watermelon will fall faster than an inflatable watermelon-shaped balloon.
At least 2 of your questions have multiple answers. The one about which country is on more than one continent. Egypt is also correct. The one about which planet has multiple ring Saturn Jupiter and Uranus all have multiple rings
Que 33 Not precisely formulated question. Four (all gaseous, biggest farthest) have rings. Only Saturn has rings visible from Earth ( through small telescope).
When I was a little girl, questions like this (What weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of bricks?) was used as a riddle and an opportunity to tease someone who didn't get the correct answer. And now you're considered a genius if you can get the correct answer? This is scary.
Question #8 that asks what is part of the eye that is sensitive to light called? They list "D" Retina as the correct answer .. which is true ... but "A" Pupil is also correct since it expands or contracts depending upon the light. This is a very poorly worded question.
Some questions have wrong answers: Which country is in two continents: correct answer Turkey and Egypt Date of landing on the moon: moon has no dates, on Earth depends where you are ( in Australia different day then in USA )
Who had the equipment to know that there was some action on the moon? Don't they have the right to determine that time. How many australians did communicate with the Eagle?
I got a few wrong. Some of these are downright subjective, like the one about the most important cells in the body. A better answer would have been STEM cells, which can become any other type of cell. Come to think of it, the France is the only country I've ever heard of that has the nerve to erect a national monument touting victories that other countries have won FOR it. They LOST the Napoleanic conquests, WW1, and WW2. Perhaps it was constructed during the height of the Napoleanic era.
I must add that these are not tests to prove your intelligence but only to test your general knowledge.
Basically just how much you remember or just guessing the answers.
I scored 116 correct excellent quiz guess I must be a genius then

well said. thanks.
Like dropping from say 10ft, a ball of paper and a sledgehammer. Which will hit ground first. Answer: same time. Gravity a constant.

The jackhammer will hit the ground first because it's heavier.
@@richardbar58boy, you must have studied math! All seems logical though.
It is not the retina that is reactive to light. It is the pupil.
Question 37 is not only Turkey that is located on two continents, but there are there more countries. Russia, Egypt, and Columbia.
