Honda made the choice to switch to the CRF so they can promote it. the first year Honda/JCR used a 450 they had a bad season. Loosing a few small races then there first loss in 16 years at the 1000. There times were faster on the XRs. FYI JCR will pit your XR in the Baja 1000 for $1500 the CRFs are a few hundred more to pit. Got my XR primed and ready.
The big deal about this vid is the fact that Honda has 2 teams, team 1 that rides a Honda 650r vtwin (which is the team that gets most of Honda's full support, usually always wins), and team 1x, which has to ride a Honda 450x and they don't get nearly as much support. So team 1x is like back up...and in this 2007 Baja, team 1x beat Team 1 and won Baja. I think it was the first time a 450 had won..ever, in the bike division in any of the Baja races. :)

Is that riding posture at 1:35 really ideal? He is leaned way over the front bars? I don't know the first thing about this type of racing.
Same question here man I've seen both styles, leaning backwards and foward, seems like it depends on your suspension presets.
