Thank you Sandy, I did enjoy that video. Piran who is also our rescue dog a JRT loves his camping with me also the sound of wildlife around in the night even a cowboy camp under the stars with no tent last year. Nothing like it I think we are so lucky to experience the pleasures of nature.

My dog just loves the tent. Its safe and dry ..... and she gets to cuddle up. 😂 Sadly my first dog, a Scottish Deerhound, couldn't do it as he was scared of confined places. The previous owners, who the breeder claimed hom back from, had a vile daughter who'd put him in the boot of the car as a puppy and abused him.
O my what a lovely being Carmen is! Intelligent too. I'm guessing she's Heinz variety with collie and saluki in the mix,am I close? Feeling so much calmer for watching you two in peace in nature, thanks

And she looks like a sight-hound and so should be ready to chase -I'm sure you are aware. She is a lovely creature. It looks like a transverse ridge tent - nice. Sorry bro' but it looks like Carmen is going to be the hero of this tale. She's a beaut! There is utter confusion about 'piping hot' - no real definitive option - so just take it as 'too hot to handle'. Sorry that you got cold - got some fairly economical Eurohike 'Expedition' bags many moons ago and I've NEVER felt cold. Tent sagged - that's rain for you. If canvas, the canvas would shrink - with nylon and polyester they expand - goodness knows why but they do. However, a great tent and an even greater companion. Thanks Paul, Yes she is a sight hound, when I took her on they described her as a Lurcher! Sil Nylon tents sag because they actually absorb some moisture and need to be retightened (if I can be bothered to get out in the night to do it) and yes canvas does shrink, I've had tent pegs pulled out of the ground in the past

Hi Sandy. It's really good to see how your dog, Carmen, has come on from when you first got her. You've obviously spent a lot of time and effort with her, and it's given her confidence and enabled her to enjoy her life much more. Those little Tangia stoves really are something else. Such a simple little design, but when they get going, well... My one lives in one of the boxes on my bike virtually all the time, so handy for a brew or to cook something. I run mine on mentholated spirits, and an old boy, who told me he'd been a Scouts leader, said that I should try adding a bit of water to the meths, as apparently is reduces the amount of soot on the bottom of your pans. - As you're a confirmed stoveaholic, wounderr if you've heard similar? She walks so wierd, lol. The only way I can describe it is, she looks very smooth while she's on the leash. Almost like she's swimming through water. Great video, and a really cool place. Hope you both enjoyed your time!
I love that area up by Stratton Woods - listen to rainfall & thunderstorms most nights on a recording I have. Love that sound. Reminds me of camping as a kid.
Lovely video Sandy, even I felt relaxed after watching it. I think the term " Piping Hot" originated in Scotland where they pipe the food in on the Bagpipes for special occasions.

My dog eats more than me! hha. I can't bear that "look" in their eyes when I try to eat. I always make them food too whenever I eat, we meal together!
