We moved on from the 70s. There's plenty of media that's geared more towards women than men. Mass appeal is awful.
Male gaze is a subgenre of shoegaze that removes the effeminate features of the style making it identical to breaking Benjamin and asking Alexandria ballads on the radio.
There is nothing wrong with the male gaze. There is nothing wrong with the female gaze. There is something wrong with one group telling the other group it's wrong.
