Girls picking on guys is not being frowned upon by society at all. This is where a lot of the false arrgoance of young women these days stems from. Guys, remember: Just because nobody supports you, doesn't mean that you are worthless. Don't take shit from anyone and stay strong. This world is hostile by default and the sooner you come to terms with it, the better for your long time health.

Some of those words are so true: just because nobody supports you doesn’t mean you’re worthless. Lots of people are really focused on having a sense of belonging or acceptance that leads to the opposite, or worse chasing acceptance from a bad group. Be you and be strong, lead the way and anyone good enough can and possibly will follow.

I think I'm in the same boat, to a lesser extent. When we were kids, my mom always said I looked like our dad, and my brother looked like her. She does everything for him, and didn't deny it when I said he was her favorite. Generally ignores my existence, though. On the few occasions we do talk, it's rather unpleasant. Just last week she came to my house and within five minutes of talking to me, was asking me why she ever bothered having kids, and why I make life so difficult (I wasn't asking for a favour or anything like that, she just didn't like an answer I gave to her question). Made me feel pretty crappy having my own mom ask me why she had kids.

In high school there was this girl that liked me a lot. She asked me out one time. I am a driven student and dating was the last thing on my mind, plus she was just not my type of girl. She was always overly emotional and desperate for a boyfriend so I politely turned her down. She was fine, the second I did this she went for another guy. However, her friend had the audacity to tell me “you should have taken her when you had the chance, she’s like the only girl that would ever go for you”. Hearing this as an older person, who’s dated an amazing girlfriend for years, sounds like bs and a stupid thing a kid would say. But for sophomore me, those words cycled in my head for months and did a huge number on my confidence.

I got to where I stopped eating as much and ended up dropping to 135 lbs (considered underweight at my height). Lost motivation to attend my classes, so my GPA dropped from a 3.6 to a 3.0 in one semester. Thankfully that summer I met a group of guys that changed my life. I started to workout for the first time since highschool, and I'm currently up to 175 lbs, and I got my motivation for school back and my GPA is now back up to a 3.4

So I did, and she said "Uh, NO!" in front of most of the school. Didn't ask a girl out for years after that. Glad to see she's fat and ugly now whilst I'm in great shape. So there was a really pretty girl in middle school and her two best friends told me that she likes me, so me being the ladies man that I am, decided to sit by her in class and try to talk to her more, and I was nervous. It honestly looked promising and at the time it seemed like she might've liked me too. So after a little while of playing that game all of a sudden out of the blue she give me a note after class and said to me "Here read that" the note read as follows: "Look I dont know what Maddie and Marley told you but I dont like you. You're annoying and gross, I've never liked you and I never will."
I went home after school, head hanging low as it could, I turned on some Staind, and wallowing in self pity and heartache for a little while. If I remember right she eventually apologized.
To the women that may be looking at this, dont think a guy doesnt have a heart. Every one of us do, and if you're going around playing games a breaking hearts, especially after you keep leading him on and on and on, that screws with our heads. We take it alot better if you just say you're not interested and get on out of there

I then said "Are you not even sorry for what you've done?" She said " I'll say sorry if you want me to". To be told that someone doesn't even care about you or to have no regrets or a shred of remorse after 10 happy years is the biggest gut punch you could ever feel.

She soon got a reputation for treating them like crap, though, which is the biggest reason I quit talking to her. Some of the things she said to her boyfriends were, "I don't know why you even TRY to be funny. It's just embarrassing.", "I like to talk to you because you're nice to me, but I don't really want people to think we're dating." (This after they HAD been dating for 3 months!), and (to her friends, but right in front of her boyfriend) "I like him because he's not very smart and he doesn't stand up for himself".

My wife left me a few months ago under the flimsiest of pretenses, after using & my parents for months, if not longer (because it quickly became apparent she had been planning this for a long time). She accused me of emotional & psychological abuse, saying something very similar about me thinking I am a good guy & I'm not, when I always tried so hard to be gentle & kind with her. After time in counseling, I now realize I had buried my head in the sand because I didn't want to see the signs, including the fact that any abusive behavior was coming from her. Shattered my heart & really messed with my head; still working through it all & coming to terms with the fact that the woman I loved so much is a horrible human being.

TL;DR: I spilled my heart out to a girl I thought liked. She said no.
    Fine. Sucks, but fine.
Three days later, she texts me to say that we can't be friends anymore.
    Oh.
I was already socially awkward, on the autism spectrum, and on a rebound from what I thought was a real relationship. But those words didn't just put me off dating. They put me off even trying to make new friends.
It wasn't until four or five years later, looking back on it, that her reaction made sense.
I'd invited her over to an empty house to watch a movie. Creepy enough. But instead of taking her home when the movie ended, I put on ANOTHER movie, hoping one of us would get the nerve to ask, because I thought she felt the same way.
And this wasn't just wishful thinking on my part; it was absolute delusion!
    Why?
She already HAD a boyfriend! Who she never said an unkind word about!
But in my deluded teen brain, that didn't matter:
She was a girl, we both liked similar things, and she didn't double over vomitting when she looked at me. It MUST be true love! (Sarcasm).
So, yeah, she extricated herself from a scary situation, and set up a firm boundary to keep herself safe.
It's not her fault that my lack of social context meant my own feelings, self-esteem, and any drive to expand my social circle, got completely nuked into oblivion in the process.

Like it was extremely reassuring that a girl (by far the sexiest and most beautiful in my group at that) would be willing to be blunt and tell me that she believed I was objectively physically attractive, but my talkativeness was part of who I was as well as my disability (Asperger's and the associated social/charisma deficits) so that part still stung...

When I was in middle school I decided to go to my guy friends house to help him study. After I helped him he asked me if I wanted to play some video game. And he was really dedicated to gaming I mean he brought Minecraft and Mario stuff to school and spent 30% of his time gaming and being so dedicated looked down upon by elites just because he could made me like him. Anyway, so we start up this game I forgot the name of it was just low graphics. And start playing. After the first match I say. “ Ya know you don’t need to go easy on me just cause you think I’m new I’m up for a challenge!” Then he gets tears eyes and says. “ Alright then I need to to the bathroom brb.”
He than goes to the other room talks with his sister and goes to the bathroom. His sister then enters the living room so I ask her why he’s a bit sad. She then says “ He was trying his best on the game and you hurt his feelings a bit.” After that I was too cowardly to talk to him and we just drifted apart and I feel bad about it that’s why I wrote this story.

“There’s nothing about you that’s attractive,” some girl who I went on a bad date with, got ghosted by, and confronted her after she changed her relationship status on Facebook.

The harshest I ever got said by someone was "You are just not my type."
For context, it was with a co-worker and basically half the office was heads over heels for her. When she said that out loud to me I was like "Oha!" and never said anything further regarding that. It stung a little, but that's just how life is. You can't have everything.

On behalf of all ladies everywhere gentlemen: I am so so sorry these things were said to you. These women hurt you more than they should have been able to because you loved them beyond what they ever ever deserved.
