How to install XTRONS radio on Porsche Cayenne 957 - Quick and Easy

- In this video, I install a new radio on my 2010 Porsche Cayenne 957.
The old PCM3.0 is working correctly, but it looks a bit outdated and I miss many features like Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
I choose the XTRONS IQ92CYPL unit and it fits like a glove.
The unit has a 9" display, ANDROID 12, the processor is an octa-core SNAPDRAGON 665 with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM CAR. it has GPS 4G, wireless CARPLAY, wireless and wired ANDROID AUTO and DSP built-in with 4*50W.

Great video, worked well. I have a 2009 cayenne s. Only thing different was there are two screws under the top air vent speaker that need to be removed behind the front top air vent.

Great Video, thank you so much for posting! Are there any possible issues if you have a cd-changer installed? I was wondering if I have to disconnect it or if there are any conflicts with the existing OEM cd changer.

Hi cant find antenna wire on my main connector. I have 2 main connectors 1 which you have used and it had the antenna wire but i have to use the 2nd main connector and that has no antenna wire.

That extra harness for the flex ray cables for the base audio... did that come with it or was that separate
The only cable I bought extra it was the one to connect both antennas to the unit. All the other cables came in the box.

Hello, thanks for the excellent video. I installed on my 957 an equal xtrons with the help of your video. I have sound, but the controls on the steering wheel don't work. Any ideas?
Hi Rui. You can calibrate them on the radio menu. It has a dedicated area for that. Check the manual you will need a PIN code to access that menu and it is written in the manual.

Anyone knows how to get this to work with the Bose speakers?
I just wrapped project up as well, worked with the bose soeakers, but it's a little buggy at times and there is no front or rear only speakers.

Hi i have the same xtrons as yours connected exactly like you have shown and managed to get the sound working but then switched it off to finish routing the wires, switched unit on after 20 minutes and now no sound, can you help please
Hi mate. No idea why, that never happened to me. Review the connections and make sure nothing is disconnected by mistake. It’s the only reason I can think.

That is really strange. What do you have to do to have sound again?
Do you connect up the antenna ground wire to the Black vehicle ground wire ?
It was some time ago. In the video I show and explain all the connections in detail. Nothing was done off camera.
Hello, I connected everything as in the video. The radio works as far as the internet goes, the radio station works but I have no sound, I connected the BOSE DECODER in exactly the same way and connected the cables. AUX IN and AUX OUT cables connected to each other unfortunately still no sound. What am I doing wrong? The previous owner had connected a DENSION GATEWAY to the back of the CD changer. Is it maybe because of that.
My system don’t have the Bose upgrade. If you have the proper BOSE decoder probably it’s related to that Gateway. Just double check if the AUX In/Out are not connected in the reverse direction.
Hi Deniz, I’m running into the same issue. Wired up and unit powers up all functions like it should, but no sound. It feels like maybe the Bose amp is not powering up or something. Did you get it resolved?

@@frederickcook87 yeah it’s working for me now. The problem was with the supplied wiring harness for the MOST interface box, it was pinned wrong at the connector. After receiving a new wiring harness it works with Bose system now.
How did you get your sound to work. I used your video to fix mine up but I have no sound.
Did you follow all the steps? Did you put the optical fiber connector on the right box? I show all what I did in the video. No extra steps.
@@GFI yes I did. The only thing I was not sure of is how you connect the RCA cables from the MOST. I tried different configurations but no sound.
@@boobideck check from minute 7:35. I say the exact way I connect them. I was not sure but it worked like that and I didn’t change them. I will soon install the reverse camera and I can film the connections again for you to confirm.

Followed your setup at the 7:35 timestamp. Still got no sound. Do you think adding the other harness and tapping the Amp wire to the ACC could work?
Does this have an RCA Subwoofer output for an aftermarket subwoofer setup?
Not sure, but I think not.
When you scan the car with the Diagnostic Scanner Tool after installation "xtrons", do you get an error related to the PCM or something else?
No, no error at all.
@@GFI ok. Do you hear the noise (like a radio wave) when you listen carefully when the "Xtrons" is powered on?

Does the camera have the trigger cable?

@@rafaelperli3511 I am not sure how the original one works. The XTRONS unit will send 12V through the trigger and power up the camera.
