    Great video! I’ve had my Weekender Bag for over a year and it’s the only one I’ll ever need. Satchel and Page is known for their timeless look and simple mechanics. I have a couple of other Satchel and Page products and I feel just as happy with those items as with the weekender bag. They always get me compliments and they get the job done 👌🏽

    I also own this bag. It’s stunning but people NEED to know this thing is heavy AF empty.. but when you stuff it with items for a 4 day getaway and it gets heavy really quick. Ideal for use from car to to hotel/room/destination but not ideal for carrying around in a big airport. I’m a strong and athletic guy but I get tired of lugging this thing. I mainly use it for weekend road trips which is perfect.

    • @ItsDesmond

      100% agree. The full leather construction is great - but so heavy. Definitely best for short trips from transport to destination.

      Oh that’s interesting to know. I’ve got a 5 day trip to the US from Australia coming up. I was planning on just carrying this as carryon but maybe I’ll need to reconsider and use a roller instead - shame.

    Great video bro! Between you and another TH-camr, have sold me on this bag! Pointing out details on leather making/design that I wouldn’t of know about. Love the attention to details. Also feeling like your getting such a great product for price point. These are going to keep going up in price. Much gratitude! One

    I was looking at a Ghurka weekender (Cavaler II) and while I think I like the asthetics a bit more, this Satchel and Page is WAYYYYY better value imo. The build quality is amazing and it is suede lined all over. Also I love the accessory/tech pocket on this, the fact it could fit my razer blade 15 is a huge selling point. The Ghurka bag I was looking at has no specific spot for a laptop and opening the whole bag to access pockets inside is super inconvenient for flying. With good rolling or some packing cubes and an extra pair of shoes, I could probably pack for an entire week, especially if I carry my small 12 inch satchel as a personal carry for air pods, a book, some snacks, etc. Maybe less than a week if I'm traveling somewhere cold. This def just moved to the top of my list.

    • @ItsDesmond
      @ItsDesmond  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the insight! I gotta check out the Ghurka. But 100% agree on this weekender and other being way more functional with an easy access laptop section. I hate getting to the airport or a lounge and having to dig through my bag just to get my laptop. I like quick access to my laptop, iPad, chargers and headphones without unpacking my whole bag 🤣

    one of the downsides to leather duffels/weekenders is the weight of the bag itself. waxed canvas/twill equivalents weigh much less. hard to choose!

    Great review! I am very interested in this product based on your review. Is it possible to review the Carry All by Satchel and Page? I am a daily NYC commuter and would like a more streamlined version for EDC. The EDC items that tag along with me every day include typical gym attire (sneakers, hoodie, sweats, water bottle), my glass lunch container, iPad, Airpods, charging cables, water bottle, and charging cables. How heavy would this bag be? Maybe you could provide some recommendations. Please keep up the great work! Thank you sir.

    It's a great bag, craftsmanship is one of the best. The problem with this bag is that it's too heavy and bulky when it is full. I borrowed one from my friend and travelled with it in Europe for 3 weeks. It's too heavy and uncomfortable to carry on trains, planes, hotels and walking. I prefer my Frank Clegg signature duffle for travel because of the size and comfort.

    • @rsixx6548

      is your Clegg duffle that much lighter Will? I'm considering both but wonder if Clegg gives me 2x the value for 2x the money.

    these bags have a depth of 10 inches, whereas most airline seems to provide a maximum depth allowance of 9 inches, so how does it fit? 🤔 [For example, Delta Air lines, - Individual length, width and height measurements may not exceed 22” x 14” x 9” (56 cm x 35 cm x 23 cm) respectively]

      Hmm probably a good amount of weight. It’s a very sturdy construction but I wouldn’t recommend carrying more than like 30 lbs in there. Not really designed to haul dense heavy gear. It’s more for weekend outfits and normal travel essentials
