I happened to catch this band in Richmond VA last weekend as a friend had an extra ticket to the Thank You Scientist show they were supporting. Never heard of them. They played this song near the end of their set and I was absolutely dumbstruck at how beautifully haunting and powerful this is. I was frozen in place with my jaw dropped completely mesmerized. It's one of the best pieces of music I've heard in a long time, and one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard performed live. Extremely profound stuff. This band is unbelievable and I can't believe I had never heard them until a few days ago. I'm hooked.
I know we like to nerd out over chords and prog rhythms but if we can put that aside. This song, hurt so much. all most every time I hear it, it puts me on the edge of tears.
You guys have an amazing talent, I discovered Ben thanks to Adam, and I have to say that is just amazing the quality of music, such a amazingly made Art Rock
Kind of a die-hard metalhead here, who decided to check these guys out since they're opening for a Leprous/Haken show I'm going to next month... and this song is so good it gave me chills. I'm looking forward to seeing them.
This is a god damn beautiful song. And this is one of the most beautiful lines I've ever heard. "All my daughters, all my sons and lover Did I raise you to harm one another?"
Oh my... Just when i thought i couldn't love this band any more than I already did. Tears all the way through and for several minutes after. I think this song will change my life!
ART: "The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power." My new favourite band. Thankyou guys this is such a major joy in my ordinary life.
I've been giving this song a listen now for about three days. I'm just blown away. The lyrics, the vocals, the way the song breathes, it's loud moments, and quiet moments. It's just a well thought out song, well composed and when it all comes together it punches you in the gut and takes the wind out of you. Well done and bravo!
Bajé al arroyo de la batalla, I went down to the battle creek, Las cosas que vi allí fueron increíbles. the things I saw there were amazing. Bones nunca se había visto tan real antes, Bones never looked so real before, Creí que estaban allí I believed they were there Pero ahora estoy seguro. but now I'm sure. Estoy seguro. I'm sure. Estaba abajo por el arroyo de batalla, I was down by the battle creek, los números absolutos eran sorprendentes. the sheer numbers were startling. La muerte nunca se sintió tan real antes, Death never felt so real before, siempre nuevo estaba allí always new it was there Pero ahora estoy seguro. but now I'm sure. Estoy seguro. I'm sure. Oh mis hijas, mis hijos y amantes Oh my daughters, oh my sons and lovers, ¿Te crié para hacerte daño el uno al otro? Did I raise you to harm one another? ¿O lo aprendiste de otra persona? Or did you learn it from someone else? ¿Lo sacaste de las manos de otra persona? Did you pull it from someone else's hands? Y cuando te pones rojo intermitente, And when you slip into blinking red, ¿Le echas la culpa a Dios o a tu prójimo? do you blame it on God or on your fellow man? Regresé del arroyo de batalla, I returned from the battle creek, pero mi corazón no regresó conmigo. but my heart did not make it back with me. Fuente: Musixmatch Compositores: benjamin irving levin
This song brings me to tears every time I listen to it. Especially this performance. I don't know what inspired them in this moment but it certainly puts me in mind of John Lennon's 'Imagine' but from a tragic perspective. Keep it up Bent Knee :)
Wandered over here from Adam's channel, where I had seen Ben play music games, etc. with Adam. This is a great song. Such a bunch of talented people you are. I hope to see you guys when you next come to Chicago.
Hey Guys, I've just found you through progarchives.com, and I was astonished by the quality of your music. Great sound, amazing musicians, and strong energy that comes out from your video... .... please keep going, we need your music out there! Bravissimi!!!
bens video where he played piano with gloves on changed my perception on how i play my own instruments.... then i watched bent knee at the Record Co and I have now watched every single video and concert i can find.....I don't care for music with singers, but my life has changed after hearing this.......she is like alanis morisette meets mary poppins meets regina spektor
BlueFoxXT This is a great summer/fall for me in terms of concerts. Just saw BADBADNOTGOOD a few weeks ago, seeing the Fall of Troy next month, and Bent Knee the month after. Unfortunately had to miss Giraffes? Giraffes!, but they're a bit lower on the list for me.
No this song really sounds like Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson. That is a good thing being they are from out of the 1990's. I love Bent Knee, but give credit where its due.
Amazing performance. My only criticism would be Ben's choice of that garbage, Berklee '90s shredder-ass Ibanez "Racecar Guitar." Bland tone. No life in it. A basic Telly through a small amp could have lifted this to the Stratosphere.
"Bones never looked so real before, I believed they were there but now I'm sure" is such a raw line
This is some of the greatest music written that I've ever heard
Oh, good. I was afraid it was just me. :)

I also love this and Thank You Scientist
I know we like to nerd out over chords and prog rhythms but if we can put that aside. This song, hurt so much. all most every time I hear it, it puts me on the edge of tears.
I was introduced to Bent Knee today. They've left me speechless. I have so much catching up to do.

Nick Doniger hell ya man same here going to see them Tuesday in Detroit
They also tour with The Dillinger Escape Plan and Car Bomb...
I love this song. And the artistic direction of the video. But seeing Gavin yawn at 5:30 is just so funny for me.
Jesus Christ what have I just found. Thank you, universe!
This is a god damn beautiful song. And this is one of the most beautiful lines I've ever heard.
"All my daughters, all my sons and lover
Did I raise you to harm one another?"
That ending is SO GOOD. It makes me tear up every time. Just cuts straight to the bone.
Even years later: Tears. Every. Damned. Time!
Jesus, that was astoundingly good. Can't believe I haven't heard of this band until today
Oh my... Just when i thought i couldn't love this band any more than I already did. Tears all the way through and for several minutes after. I think this song will change my life!
A STORY is being told here!
Do you guys know how special you are? How lucky are we?
Drew Fisher very :)
Amazing version -- gorgeous bitter-sweet song -- strident anti-war.

What a banger. What a powerful voice
I cried right after the last note... just beautiful

Masterpiece. You are professionalists to the extreme.
This is all I can listen to right now.

Damn
Thanks Spotify algorithms
I lost my socks
The whole intro is beautiful, It’s sad that it’s not included in the Spotify version.
It is in the Spotify version; it's the end of Dead Horse, instead of the beginning of Battle Creek
This is adele meets king crimson
Reminds me of Agam
nice...a little bit of Porcupine Tree
kArmAthOr maybe some of their other songs....this one is a little unique

Hi😢🎉😮😮

Looks like this girl Carina I used to know a long time ago.

Beaver Creek?
You are masters of cliché. You've got it all down. Love to see some innovation. I am sure it will come with time, and more work. Be not content!
their newer albums are really something else. both 2019 and 2021.
Ihre Stimme beginnt nach 30 - 40 Minuten zu nerven. Schade - eigentlich.
Ansichtssache.
😂😂😂
You were talking crazy 5 years ago
