Ria- Thank you for the complete Dances and Airs. I forget how lovely these pieces are and how wonderful Ozawa is in his interpretation. Much thanks.. BRIAN

Why do you guys always think in terms of top ten or who´s the very best etc.? This is music and not the athletics. So why can´t you simply say that you like Respighi?
The beauty of this masterpiece is picturesque💮🌸
Wonderfully Arcadian ! Lament for a lost world and era.
This beauty Ìs off the charts
Respighi was a giant, the most underrated one.
You are absolutely right!
Underrated, but a Giant. Do You know I PINI DELLA VIA APPIA?

JUST GORGEOUS…………………..TANTE GRAZIE …. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Note that he was a pupil of Rimsky-Korsakov in Russia and of Max Bruch...
Best out of three suites! Thanks for the upload.

@@howardjones7370 Wonderful suggestions, can't leave Salieri or Boccherini out.
movement 2 and three are the best sounding, in my opinion. movement 4 is the most fun to play as 3rd violin :P

Andante Cantabile (after rehearsal 9) + Siciliana 7:47
I'm in it for 13:47 and I want to find more pieces with that kind of energy, tempo, and urgency.
Look for EMI Classics record.

Respighi siciliana
Too heavy. They're using a full orchestra instead of an chamber ensemble.
The BSO brings a hauntingly beautiful depth to this piece. (not to be confused with heavy)
Strings only.
