This can be made without onions as well. Add saambar podi instead of garam masala & bay leaf. If you are nervous about cooking rice with the tomato mixture, cooked rice can be mixed gently with the tomato paste (gravy). Add fried peanuts in it as well. Plus lots of chopped corriander leaves. Comes out yummy.
