    I own a TM home that was a new build. So many issues and terrible at every step in the process. All fixable but just awful all the way around.

      @@WendyPannell I am planning to close TM home at ridge at Northlake. Any suggestions or things to note of, I see it has the lowest local ratings for TM in Dallas.
      They already put wrong stone until i notified them and now they are planning to breakdown the front portion of the house to fix their mistake with correct stone when closing is due in next month!!!! Any suggestions on how much compensation we can get for this ( We really don’t want them to break and rebuild the house for stone) or get deposit of $38k back so we buy a new spec home instead. (This is custom build btw costing $725k for peridot)

      @@siddarthadasharadhi3286 That's a tough one! I'd have to be far more familiar with the situation. I would recommend having your Realtor go to bat for you or you could get an attorney involved.

    What are the first-time prices and what moves up prices?

      300s would be on the very low end and they have some up to the million dollar range.

    Do you have thoughts on Highland? Specifically in the Mantua neighborhood in Van Alstyne? We signed a contract a few days ago but after watching a few of your videos I feel like I just made a massive mistake and the sky is falling 😅

      One observation I've had with Highland is that they tend to build extremely basic inventory homes, price very high for them and then say they've deeply discounted the price. It is deceptive because every upgrade has value. I've seen homes with carpet in the living room, base level light fixtures and unfrosted, plain windows in the master bath. We're talking really basic level that they put a very high price on and then try to sell off as having a big price reduction.
      My experience with their sales consultants has been mostly positive. We were at a Highland model this past weekend and the sales consultant was very knowledgable. They are always selling a deep price reduction but you have to keep in mind not all houses are created equal and a lot of times that price cut isn't a cut at all.

    I own a Taylor Morrison home in Mesa Arizona and it has been a godsend. NO ISSUES even after 7 years. My inspector I hired after 1 year to fix any repairs said it was one of the best well built homes he has ever sceen. I believe it really comes down to the local labor and quality of the person who oversees construction for the neighborhood.

      What community are you so I can verify this information in order to ensure you’re not a Taylor Morrison crony, leaving fake positive experiences/reviews on social media to change or sway consumer opinion. Taylor Morrison has a TERRIBLE reputation as a home builder, that’s the public consensus so I find it extremely suspicious that you have a positive experience and are giving out such a generous and glowing review of what is a notoriously bad, awful, and unreliable home builder

      You're 100% a bot, TM worker, stock share, etc. TM has some of the cheapest crappy built home around.

    Where is the UGLY here? This is common for all builders (for the most part) as I have seen and/or heard of some crazy UG:Y contracts from some builders.
