I just got my strabismus done yesterday! My double vision is gone and it was painless! If you are suffering from strabismus I would highly recommend speaking to your doctor for the possibility of surgery. My vision is crisp and clear now!

I have strabismus or crossed eye, I only use 1 one for different visions. It gives me low self-esteem and I really hate my eyes especially the feeling that you need to look at other people's eye especially when talking to them and I chose not to look at them because of my eye condition.
@@a14calaoaganmaryalthea44 you need to see an ophthalmologist. If you've just been seeing an optometrist they rarely recommend surgery. First time I saw my ophthalmologist she recommended surgery and said it could be fixed.

Hey to align the eyes one can do strabismus correction surgery... I am also searching for vision therapy... Vision therapy will help to slightly improve lazy eye.
@@kii5474 ah it isnt that scary! Dont worry you wont feel anything because they will give you IV and uh some mask that's makes you fall asleep. Afterwards you just have to be careful about getting stuff in the eye. Uh you might feel slight pain in the eyes but that's normal
@@kii5474 ah cant relate it took 20 minutes to out the IV in(a problem I had since little) but yeah not scary! Sadly the surgery wasn't successful. I was supposed to get both eyes done but they decided last minute only the left eye. Now theres a chance I need to get my right eye done as well! Ah what can you do? Each person is different in my case I used to only use MY Right eye to see. Now I use my left hahah. Surgery wasnt scary so if I do have to do the surgery again, I'm not afraid!

@@suz567 I've been to a 2 they basicly said they couldn't help me. Had an appointment with a 3rd but she cancelled my appts, rescheduled 3 times with her and they cancelled those as well. I good insurance so Idk what the problem is. The consensus seems to be...."Well you've made it this far in life you might as well live with it". This title is misleading. Many people think this surgery improves vision. Typically, it is cosmetic to make the eye not turn in. There are risks that include damaging the vision. I has the surgery and posted a Before and After strabismus surgery video about my experience.

I have a question. If your parent was born premature and had strabismus will it then be hereditary to children. My mom was born almost 1 1/2 months premature and has strabismus. I was also born with strabismus but not premature (5 days late). I know babys born premature can end up with strabismus. Does hereditary strabismus mean that my mother must have inherited the genes from her parents and not gotten it from being premature?
I nanny a child who is getting this procedure done this month. She definitely has a wandering eye, (i see it move when she focuses) but she also does look up when she's talking to you. When we ask what she's looking at, she says it's just her lazy eye and it's not on purpose.

I had this surgery when I was 11 and it was the best thing I have ever done for my health. I 100% recommend for anyone with a severe strabismus.

Strabismus can be inherited but I don’t think there is any relationship to prematurity.
My eyes looks like im looking upwards, is this strabismus? I honestly see fine but alot of people told me why my eyes are looking up.
