@@headshot531 It wasn't even that. It was the journey from start to finish and the fact that we were all involved in its development in some way from start to finish. I had 600 hours in it during early development before it even released. lol It was just a really special experience for us all.
Subnautica does something really weird with its camera. I think it has something to do with the way the camera is places in relation to the skull and its field of view, and how the arms and legs that you see in first person are created, but actual sizes don't match what you are seeing. The best proof of this is when you have a fish in your hand. Compared to your character's hand, a boomerang looks like it's maybe 25-30 cm from top tip to bottom tip. But the boomerangs that are swimming around in the water are at least twice that high. I think the hands and feet that dangle below the camera are actually tiny and not really human sized, and very close to the camera. You don't notice that in the normal game because everything was scaled in a way that it seems to all match up. But when you do hacks to get into third person view or have other player models swim next to you, things get really out of whack. Any sizes that are listed in the game code are pretty meaningless because of that, and the body of other player characters is a poor scale reference.
Yeah, first person cameras tend to make things seem smaller than they are. Look at ARK Survival Evolved and you'll get a good example of that with the Giga and the Rex.
I would never have imagined how amazing multiplayer Subnautica would be with everyone not being familiar with the complete game. This looks even more fun than playing alone.
It is a joy watching you two experience the horror that is Subnautica. Honestly, this game is really awesome and there is so much to find and explore. I am sure you two will have a lot of moments full of horror, beauty, tension, and curiosity.

So a word of warning, though you might already know this, the reaper you encountered near the back of the ship is one of many that patrol that area, there are others that patrol different regions of the map but they are usually alone, with that grouping being the only one on the map, and to my knowledge if you managed to kill a reaper that was patrolling an area then it wont spawn another to take it's place, but do be carful if you engage one cause I've seen them leave their patrol area to try and kill players, even going as far as the shallows.

Fooster, if you go to the Tube Coral and knife it, youll get Coral Tube Sample. Combined with salt, youll be able to make a larger water container to keep you hydrated. Also, loving this series. As someone whos been in love with subnautica since its release to early access, it makes me happy to see others enjoying the game. The devs did such a great job with this game and with Below Zero

The Base Attached Air Pump allows you to pump air OUT of your base into a long pipe, so you can use the end of the pipe to refill your air without having to go into the base or a vehicle. People rarely use it, because exploring with a vehicle is just much more convenient by the time that you go really deep. A base that has power will always make its own oxygen as long as it has power. No pump needed for that.
Only 2 episodes in and it's already a classic! I would recommend you go to the floating Island, I think you get the coordinates from a radio transmission, keep checking them by hitting the red button. It will give you more building blueprints including garden beds. A warning though, don't pick and eat all the plants in the grow beds as they don't respawn; instead, build your grow beds and go back to get samples and then head back to base to plant them. They have to grow inside. Also, explore the centre of the Island carefully where it looks like an isolated lagoon!
here is a tip, hover over any item in your inventory and press any number from 1 to 5 to put it in your belt, better than dragging it. Also use coral and bleach for better water.
I loved this game and the subzero, but I was playing on my switch and it crashed constantly. I love listening to you two together. That first episode gave me the giggles. It’s the only time I’ve ever heard fooster sound angry. It’s hilarious.

The thing that makes this game great is that it is a unique experience for everyone. Probably the most memorable moment for me in this game was when I was looking for a specific wreck, but I had to get past a Reaper, so I parked my Cyclops under a bridge, took my P.R.A.W.N. suit out to go look for the section, and realized I had forgotten my beacons. So I left my mech near the wreck and free dived (high capacity tank, fins, and rebreather) to get back to my sub, well I get within 200m when I notice I have 3 Ampeels between me and safety, and my oxygen is running low. I decide to start diving for the bottom to avoid the eels and literally just as I dropped down, 55 meters of Reaper leviathan literally goes screaming over my head (scaring me half to death) attacks all three, school bus sized electric eels, kills one of them, eats it, and swims off, and the only reason I started to move again after watching this tableau was the "Warnng, 30 seconds of oxygen remaining!" informing that I was about to drown. I managed to get to my Cyclops just in time.
Someone needs to make a movie out of Subnautica with a scene that literally shows exactly what happened in this description, how does Subnautica literally have movie ready moments in gameplay is far beyond what I expected, the entire gameplay looks like a movie
@@nooneofimportance2110 OH I haven't had the luxury of playing it sadly, but I can't ignore it, I am a crazy fan of the ocean, nature, biology and overall survival, anything I can learn or know, imagine gives me ideas and crazy adventures where I put myself in the situation and think how would I handle it if I were them. So Subnautica is perfect for me, all the little facts about the flora and fauna in the game are actually based on real things, some being straight up realistic like the brine pool/underwater river. Tho if I had to say what is my most memorable moment from gameplays I have watched, it has to be the first time people discovered the Degasi crewmembers. No matter who played the game, that part of the storyline always got people extremely hooked and interested in the game, and the game started to really speed up in lore at that point as people's interest and hunger to learn more peaked and kept peaking the more they found, it was incredible to watch people react and learn about them everytime again and again, every reaction was an experience that left me thinking how everyone react in a similar way, yet completely different
@@leofhr2966 The Degassi survivors is an interesting part of the lore, but for me the biggest human stuff were the interactions with the Sunbeam crew. Although I loved exploring the Aurora and learning about the lives of those onboard. But the most memorable moments for me were the unscripted ones. like that tale I told above with the Reaper and the Ampeels. I once watched a Crabsnake shoot out of a Jellyshroom to hook into an Oculus, but then two more Crabsnakes came out to feed, and the three of them started swimming around together, basically their own little pod. Performing a salvage operation behind the Aurora, gathering metal and items in my P.r.a.w.n.suit, being terrified while Reapers glided above, using the Cyclops as cover and storage, and having to watch out for Stalkers on top of it all, just to make a moonpool. The first time I ever met a Mesmer. The despair when realizing that all the other survivors were dead, long before I could get to them, either by the natural creatures of 4546b, or the UNnatural creatures tasked to guard it. Then of course there's all the interactions with the Sea Emperor. There's also all the times I scanned something useful, that enabled me to make life easier, like water filters, multipurpose rooms, grow beds, vehicle parts, and modules.

Well if that's the case then yea I also love memorable moments that weren't scripted but just natural game elements working together, they are in fact my favorite types of moments above all else, which was when for example I saw someone piloting their Seamoth in the dunes, they were looking at some small fish when a Sandshark attacked their Seamoth, and the player was mocking it and mostly ignoring it as if it was just a small nuisance, but then out of nowhere a Reaper comes diving down right onto that Sandshark a mere few meters away from the player inside their Seamoth, basically attacking it instead and probably about to eat it, that was the most incredible "there is always a bigger fish" moment I have ever seen, and the reaction of the player was unbelievably hilarious and honestly understandable, it was their first ever encounter I think, it was honestly incredible to watch because it really seemed like a movie moment. That's just one moment among the many others that i found incredible in this game as they weren't scripted in the game like you would see in a movie, but it literally played out exactly like one.
love this series fooster. its more fun to see fisk in pain than you suffering from spiders in metro hahah. dont tell fisk though. you guys are a great combo!

When you get the alien containment thing aka the fish tank you can put creature eggs inside of it including hostile creature eggs and when they hatch from the egg they won't be hostile to you
Awesome content , Foos Scorn has just been released... I understand Fisk's fear. I prefer the land under my feet as well. The deep sea is a silent As the vast vacuum of space .

helpful hint salt and tube coral ( which is not the red table coral) make bleach which turns into 2 waters that are bigger than the bladder fish to help you keep your water filled :) and great vid as always fooster you and fisk rock glad he is enjoying subnautica

I know this will get sucked up in the comments but here’s an idea for you and Fisk! I really love the walkietalkie voices when ur far away from eachother, but what about using it always when underwater cuz you can’t just talk normal with a vizer on right? Maybe this would add up to the realistic of the amazing roleplaying you guys deliver! Ps. I put the same message on Fisk’s his video 😅😂
My brain hurts so much through last and this episode, especially around 28:00 when you're wondering that the game wasn't telling you where to go, with radio having red light on, signaling that there's a message waiting for you to go listen to it. 😂
I'm loving this series guys 😁 few hints tho, I would get the propulsion cannon first, go into the aroura then make re breathers, also I think you need a deeper base for the Cyclops if you want to park near😉 and I'm sure foster knows this but there are islands to explore 😉

Yeah more good stuff to watch. A little tip. If you make two high capacity tanks for each of you. You can switch them while diving and have a longer time frame.
And then you can find yourself in 200 meter depth with only 9 seconds left, and realize that you did not refill your second tank the last time you switched. Speaking entirely hypothetical, of course.
Foster. There are 4 or 5 reapers on the map. One infront of the and back side of the aurora ship and one on each island. Idk if there is fifth but if there is i forgot about it. Btw tell fisk not to cook blader fish cause there is a limited amount of them. You can make water by combining salt and acid but also salt is limited resource so i would suggest get seamoth fragment which you can find in area where there is red sea grass and and then start looking for other fragments. The most important is laser cutter and then you wanna get water purifire for inf water source and it does give you quite a lot of it
You can pick up eggs without the parents getting angry. And, if you hatch them in the aquarium they will then be tamed and bring you resources when you set them free in the ocean.

The sea glide has a flashlight and the seamoth parts are in the red grass you can get cyclops parts once you get the seamoth in a different biome but it's unreasonably dark but safe
Yeah I can't wait for more of this, I have a feeling this is going to be more insane than stranded which by the way was absolutely awesome. But this journey is going to be very interesting
just a warning from someone who's tried in the past with a horrific failure, make sure to put the vehicle bay in deeper waters when you plan to create the cyclops! it could get stuck in the shallows with no way to remove it XD
I am excited for more of this, for various reasons, (as non-spoilery as possible) them discovering the edge, visions, and the other leviathon classes, I eagerly await, and kudos to Fisk, especially when ecountering the reaper, I worried he would hole up in base and make Fooster do everything.

The thing that makes this game great is that it is a unique experience for everyone. Probably the most memorable moment for me in this game was when I was looking for a specific wreck, but I had to get past a Reaper, so I parked my Cyclops under a bridge, took my P.R.A.W.N. suit out to go look for the section, and realized I had forgotten my beacons. So I left my mech near the wreck and free dived (high capacity tank, fins, and rebreather) to get back to my sub, well I get within 200m when I notice I have 3 Ampeels between me and safety, and my oxygen is running low. I decide to start diving for the bottom to avoid the eels and literally just as I dropped down, 55 meters of Reaper leviathan literally goes screaming over my head (scaring me half to death) attacks all three, school bus sized electric eels, kills one of them, eats it, and swims off, and the only reason I started to move again after watching this tableau was the "Warnng, 30 seconds of oxygen remaining!" informing that I was about to drown. I managed to get to my Cyclops just in time.
Someone needs to make a movie out of Subnautica with a scene that literally shows exactly what happened in this description, how does Subnautica literally have movie ready moments in gameplay is far beyond what I expected, the entire gameplay looks like a movie

@@nooneofimportance2110 OH I haven't had the luxury of playing it sadly, but I can't ignore it, I am a crazy fan of the ocean, nature, biology and overall survival, anything I can learn or know, imagine gives me ideas and crazy adventures where I put myself in the situation and think how would I handle it if I were them. So Subnautica is perfect for me, all the little facts about the flora and fauna in the game are actually based on real things, some being straight up realistic like the brine pool/underwater river. Tho if I had to say what is my most memorable moment from gameplays I have watched, it has to be the first time people discovered the Degasi crewmembers. No matter who played the game, that part of the storyline always got people extremely hooked and interested in the game, and the game started to really speed up in lore at that point as people's interest and hunger to learn more peaked and kept peaking the more they found, it was incredible to watch people react and learn about them everytime again and again, every reaction was an experience that left me thinking how everyone react in a similar way, yet completely different
@@leofhr2966 The Degassi survivors is an interesting part of the lore, but for me the biggest human stuff were the interactions with the Sunbeam crew. Although I loved exploring the Aurora and learning about the lives of those onboard.
But the most memorable moments for me were the unscripted ones. like that tale I told above with the Reaper and the Ampeels.
I once watched a Crabsnake shoot out of a Jellyshroom to hook into an Oculus, but then two more Crabsnakes came out to feed, and the three of them started swimming around together, basically their own little pod.
Performing a salvage operation behind the Aurora, gathering metal and items in my P.r.a.w.n.suit, being terrified while Reapers glided above, using the Cyclops as cover and storage, and having to watch out for Stalkers on top of it all, just to make a moonpool.
The first time I ever met a Mesmer.
The despair when realizing that all the other survivors were dead, long before I could get to them, either by the natural creatures of 4546b, or the UNnatural creatures tasked to guard it.
Then of course there's all the interactions with the Sea Emperor.
There's also all the times I scanned something useful, that enabled me to make life easier, like water filters, multipurpose rooms, grow beds, vehicle parts, and modules.
@@nooneofimportance2110 Ahh I see, I was thinking you were interested in knowing what game lore I liked the most or was the most memorable, but I guess you did say and mean game moment right ? Well if that's the case then yea I also love memorable moments that weren't scripted but just natural game elements working together, they are in fact my favorite types of moments above all else, which was when for example I saw someone piloting their Seamoth in the dunes, they were looking at some small fish when a Sandshark attacked their Seamoth, and the player was mocking it and mostly ignoring it as if it was just a small nuisance, but then out of nowhere a Reaper comes diving down right onto that Sandshark a mere few meters away from the player inside their Seamoth, basically attacking it instead and probably about to eat it, that was the most incredible "there is always a bigger fish" moment I have ever seen, and the reaction of the player was unbelievably hilarious and honestly understandable, it was their first ever encounter I think, it was honestly incredible to watch because it really seemed like a movie moment. That's just one moment among the many others that i found incredible in this game as they weren't scripted in the game like you would see in a movie, but it literally played out exactly like one.
Just got home for the day and get to have lunch and watch Fooster! So love this!

Get to the islands ASAP so you can research everything you find
The entrance to the arora is the front but be careful as their is reapers around the whole arora
Make sure you have battery’s and meds when you do go
Build bigger base near the whales best place in my opinion
Just explore as much as you can and scan so you can progress

When you get the alien containment thing aka the fish tank you can put creature eggs inside of it including hostile creature eggs and when they hatch from the egg they won't be hostile to you
Awesome content , Foos Scorn has just been released... I understand Fisk's fear. I prefer the land under my feet as well. The deep sea is a silent As the vast vacuum of space .
I've never played or watched anyone play Subnautica, but I'm glad I'm watching both you and Fisk play it! I love the little details both of you add to make the game more realistic like the talking through comms while you're further away ♡
helpful hint salt and tube coral ( which is not the red table coral) make bleach which turns into 2 waters that are bigger than the bladder fish to help you keep your water filled :) and great vid as always fooster you and fisk rock glad he is enjoying subnautica

I know this will get sucked up in the comments but here’s an idea for you and Fisk! I really love the walkietalkie voices when ur far away from eachother, but what about using it always when underwater cuz you can’t just talk normal with a vizer on right? Maybe this would add up to the realistic of the amazing roleplaying you guys deliver!

My brain hurts so much through last and this episode, especially around 28:00 when you're wondering that the game wasn't telling you where to go, with radio having red light on, signaling that there's a message waiting for you to go listen to it. 😂

Yeah more good stuff to watch. A little tip. If you make two high capacity tanks for each of you. You can switch them while diving and have a longer time frame.
And then you can find yourself in 200 meter depth with only 9 seconds left, and realize that you did not refill your second tank the last time you switched.

Foster. There are 4 or 5 reapers on the map. One infront of the and back side of the aurora ship and one on each island. Idk if there is fifth but if there is i forgot about it. Btw tell fisk not to cook blader fish cause there is a limited amount of them. You can make water by combining salt and acid but also salt is limited resource so i would suggest get seamoth fragment which you can find in area where there is red sea grass and and then start looking for other fragments. The most important is laser cutter and then you wanna get water purifire for inf water source and it does give you quite a lot of it

You can pick up eggs without the parents getting angry. And, if you hatch them in the aquarium they will then be tamed and bring you resources when you set them free in the ocean.

I love subnautica and absolutely loved this series just seeing episode one thumbnail knowing what kind of funnies I'll watch.
The sea glide has a flashlight and the seamoth parts are in the red grass you can get cyclops parts once you get the seamoth in a different biome but it's unreasonably dark but safe
I haven't play this in over a year, but watching your first video made me jump right back into Subnautica.
Yeah I can't wait for more of this, I have a feeling this is going to be more insane than stranded which by the way was absolutely awesome. But this journey is going to be very interesting

just a warning from someone who's tried in the past with a horrific failure, make sure to put the vehicle bay in deeper waters when you plan to create the cyclops! it could get stuck in the shallows with no way to remove it XD
I am excited for more of this, for various reasons, (as non-spoilery as possible) them discovering the edge, visions, and the other leviathon classes, I eagerly await, and kudos to Fisk, especially when ecountering the reaper, I worried he would hole up in base and make Fooster do everything.
I thought Fisk might quit after seeing the leviathan but no! U both are very brave and this is such a great series ^^
I love how you "go off comms" when you're close to each other, like somehow you're able to hear each other talk under water lol.
