I've always like the fact that his Scarab is basically a Green Lantern Ring in armor form. Extremely versatile.
Random Fun Fact: Though the Oans were the first intelligent life in the universe, the Reach were the second.
Especially since the Reach don’t get along with the GL Corps
Who would win green lantern or blue beetle?
More like an actual plot armor
It was specifically designed in response to the Oans designed to Atleast match the corps rings in terms of combat
LookUp Guy Gardner from when he was Warrior. More organic version of the same powers, and slightly like ClayFace with more control.
Speaking of Blue Beetle Jaime Reyes, I met him by first time while watching the iconic cartoon "Batman: the Brave and the Bold" as a kid. I think his crush on the Huntress was the best part of the show 😂
Yeah I remember being introduced to him in that series too. Hopefully the new movie comes out good and gives him more light. Also hoping we might get a plastic man movie as that’s another character that show introduced me to that I liked.

He's more than lucky. He has the most powerful artifact in the Dc universe fuced to his spine. Kaji-Da is the most powerful scarab of The reach.

The blue beetle scarab and lantern ring would be an invincible combo. Especially if you could reprogram the ring and attach the scarab to the ring so it never looses battery and with the experience of combat from the suit it's pretty much over with anyone on the other side.

For the sake of being overpowered, it's a good thing those two are mutually exclusive because the Lanterns and the Reach absolutely hate eachother

Add in some faction tech and slap it on a half kyptonian half Martian. And you have a perfect killing machine.
This has actually happened. In post crisis peacemaker was given a scarab and yellow lantern ring. Jaime however was able to bring peacemaker back to his senses and peacemaker ripped out the scarab. As for the ring I think it just left.
The Scarab is like if the Lantern Rings and Symbiotes had a love child.
The scarab has an energy reactor that makes it's own energy. He can go back in time with that wormhole ability.
Blue beetle is one of my favourite heroes due to the fascination of the armour and how it picks its hosts and the list of abilities the wearer is given
I love Blue Beetle's concept....except it's kinda terrifying that Scarb latches into your body and there's noone to remove it. Also the fact that you have to keep Scarabs AI in check so it would not kill anyone, and that The Reach can take control of you at any time....doesn't help.
The Reach empire can't control Kaji-Da. He is their most powerful weapon with magic (from Earth by powerful wizards in ancient Egypt).

@@thomastakesatollforthedark2231 Robin originally created the Red X suit to go undercover and take down Deathstroke, but a while after that, the suit was stolen, and we don't know who actually took it, though some people speculate it's Jason Todd.
The Blue Beetle armor would be more beneficial than a lantern ring, but it would also be a power only shared with you from a sentient being that could potentially override your decisions or even do things for you. Basically it's more of a guardian or autopilot option. I'd take a lantern ring, even with the downsides of needing to be charged and having to concentrate more, because at least it would be all me and my decisions what I create and how or why I use the construct.
Also less chance of global conquest from an alien force.

As much as I love the narrative concept of the Blue Beetle being a trick to gain a planet's trust then infiltrate it, you'd think an alien race with technology as powerful as this would just conquer planets the normal way. Still, this whole thing is so creative and fun. No wonder it was chosen as the first new DCEU movie.
Maybe it’s a resource thing. They don’t have enough to give to an army of themselves, only one person per planet.

the reason why they don't conquer planets 24/7 is because of the Green Lantern Corps have tabs on them, they have to be sneaky or the boys in gree will blast them into oblivion
They reach( creators of the scarab) have a treaty after their long war..they can't invade any more planets except when a planet invites them or accepts them on their homeworld..
So basically the scarab is a 1 man invasion first stage 😅

Blue Beetle’s powers are really cool especially the plasma blasters and how the scarab can repair itself.
Young Justice Season 2, really made the scarab seem quite OP, with Black Beetle. I mean the dude was just a regular Reach species dude (probably equivalent to that of a top tier Navy Seal human (perhaps bit more stronger and durable)). Despite that, the scarab was powerful enough to make him easily tank and shake off blows from Superboy, who is arguably the strongest member of the team (in terms of brute strength (although Miss Martian is a 100% Martian, unlike Superboy who is 50% Kryptonian, so Miss Martian may actually end up being the physically strongest on the team). Plus Black Beetle was able to actually take on multiple attacks from the team with Superboy being apart, and still wipe the floor with all of them easily. To add Black Beetle is able to go toe to toe with Mongol, who is apparently almost as strong if not as strong as Superman.
Part of me always wondered what the rivalry between the Green Lantern Corp and the Reach would've been like if it was swapped with the Orange Lantern Corp (So just Larfleeze) and the Reach. For no other reason besides the fact that Blue and Orange are opposite colors.
Makes sense that its this versatile. Considering these things rival the lantern rings.

I really like the Young Justice Blue Beetle from season 2, especially how Jaime calls it Extraterrestre.
The scarab is not weak againts magic he is just vulnerable to it. But he can absorb it. Jaime has the most powerful artifact in the Dc universe attached to his spine. Kaji-Da is the most powerful scarab of The Reach. He can create anything and do anything. It's wayyy better than a lantern ring. Also Jaime doesn't wear the suit, he's the suit. It fuses with his cells.
Also compared to a lantern ring his buildings or creations stay permanently if he wants, without needing concentration or will power to maintain them. You just need your imagination.

@@cristalmewtwo4160 A person using magic againts the scarab is like a human person punching another person. You will feel the blow but it's not as serious as having a weakness againts it. And if he's able to absorb it, it means that it's not a weakness. Superman is weak againts kriptonite but he is vulnerable to magic.

I feel as though Ted would’ve also mastered the Scarab if it worked for him. He would invented so many new and advanced inventions. Although seeing as how it took Jamie a long time to control and work with The Scarab instead of against it. However Ted posses a genius level intellect so his will would be naturally stronger than Jamie’s. But here’s another a problem, because the The Scarab is a violent entity, he really wouldn’t approve, he doesn’t use violence as as his main form of combat, he relies on his intelligence and mastery of his own gadgets to get the job done. I mean he could just use the non lethal weapons.
This video missed a lot about blue beetle.
In the comics he is way more op. For starters, he is isnt vulnerable to magic, he was even able to defeat dr fate(one of the most powerful magic users dc).
He is able to go into a 5th dimensional plane outside of space and time called 'the bleed', allowing him to travel back in time and deny causality. He can also stop other people from time traveling by shooting them with a specific attack.
He is able dodge attacks that require you to move faster than time (i don't even know how lol).
Edit: forgot to mention, I got all of this from a death battle cast podcast about ben 10 vs blue beetle.
You should give it a watch if you want to find out some other crazy stuff he can do.

Yes, he dodged attaks from tachyon beams which are much faster than the speed of light and allow time travel. His enemy said that he has to be faster than time itself to dodge them and he did it easily. Basically he's faster than the instant in base mode. And also the fact that he can create anything and do anything makes me think that he's simply invincible.

Bluebeetle has been one of my favorite characters since watching Batman the brave and the bold and young justice when i was a kid. Jaime is literally a walking Ironman suit.

also the GL ring would vary in power from person to person based on their willpower so some will be stronger than others but the scarab would give you the same power as it does with jaime and the other beetles

What would happen if Ben 10 had the Blue Beetle armor and then transformed into like 4 arms? Would that break the armor and cause it to reconstruct shortly after breaking or would it immediately start to reform to fit Ben's new form?

What can't it do?
Don’t know how consistent this feature is but I’m post crisis Jaime was brought back to life by khaji-da after being killed by being injected with adrenaline and having his heart restarted. Also I think you didn’t mention that the waste can be converted into clothes and paper which is needed since the armor burns his clothes off at least in post crisis. As for the paper it was used to show others an image from a fight he had with someone. This in turn sort of proves that the scarab is also constantly recording. As for the final thing which is just a pet peeve is that in rebirth the scarab is not a reach infiltrator but a magical artifact.
Doctor fate said that it's a magical artifact but it's also a xenotechnological bio-weapon.
The scarab Kaji-Da is the most powerful weapon of The Reach Empire (the sworn enemies of the guardians of the universe).
The magical side is from Earth by powerful wizards in ancient Egypt.

@@StradosButReal For example in his 2006 comics where a negotiator from The Reach Empire realized that Kaji-Da has been imbued with magical forces.
In those comics Blue Beetle was able to easily hack a mother box (New gods xenotechnology and Cyborg's) and transformed it into dust, isn't that crazy? Kaji-Da wanted to kill The Specter the wrath of god, and proposed to Jaime weapons to kill him, but Jaime obviously didn't want that.
In Infinte crisis 2005, if it weren't for Blue beetle, the Justice league would have lost to Brother Eye.
In the New 52 The Reach Empire invaded Odym (the planet of the Blue lanterns) and won.
In the Rebirth comics he defeated Doctor Fate (Nabu) and crushed his helmet with one hand. I mean, it was a fight between Kaji-Da and Nabu.
