The drugstore in Tbilisi has Catrice makeup and after seeing the New Gen Nudes on TH-cam I decided to get it and I’m excited to try it out. Looks so pretty. This is my first experience with this brand and if I like it I’ll try more products like mascara. Do you have any recommendations and favorites in Catrice mascara lineup? 😊
Your top 2 are my top 2 from the 4 Pro Slim palettes that I have. The Vintage Soul is definitely the most unique but I also enjoy the New Gen Nudes and the 2 others I have. I keep thinking about getting the Blushing Ocean palette for the convenience of having the shades in one palette but I have similar colours in other palettes and singles. Thanks for your thoughts on the palettes and for an enjoyable video.
Hi Maaike I only have one of these and it is the lavender one you said was poor quality. I'm so ultra fair it does actually show up on me, but it's not a favourite palette I have to confess. I like the 5 in a box ones I have better, but eyeshadow isn't where it's at for me with Catrice as I like their lip products better usually. The lilac 5 in a box colour story is such a me colour story that it does get a fair amount of use, but I'm always going to prefer the quality/performance of viseart shadows. I bought a lilac matte liquid shadow from Lottie London and that's a great base for the lilac 5 in a box - it intensifies the lilac even more (Elf does a similar shade in their putty eyeshadows that would also work). I don't buy that much eyeshadow as you know and I really do use the makeup I have that works well for me regularly. I hate glitter on my 51 year old textured/hooded eyes, so soft shimmers work far better for me as my lid shade. Best wishes.
When you first said that you had all 9 of them, I was like...wait, did she say 9? I thought I had them all, but I don't have 9 of them, or do I? I had to check and yes, I do have them all 😂 Anyway, like always I loved this video and I agree with everything you said as I have had the same experiences with them. 😊
Catrice has been mentioned on social media here in the USA recently and you are the first content provider who seems to a finger on the pulse of their product line. Would you give me a short answer on the contrast between Colorpop and Catrice? I understand Colorpop isn't the inexpensive and found everywhere product in Europe like it is here in the US (especially in CA where it's facility is 60 miles from me). I can find basically anything cosmetic related in the greater Hollywood area. However, if their formulas are basically the same, I can find the same color stories in Colorpop. If this is too much trouble, just pass on an answer and I'll understand.
Catrice over here is like Wet N Wild, ELF or Milani in the US. So more of a traditional drugstore brand. They are owned by the same company as Essence. Formula wise Catrice has some stunning products, but so does Colourpop. Both however, I have found to be very hit n miss. I love Catrice mainly for lip products, base products (primer, foundation, concealer), and things like bronzer, highlighter and concealer. Eyeshadow they are not the best at but they do the occasional gem. So I would recommend Colourpop for eyeshadow, but Catrice for the rest.
Thanks for your thoughtful reply. When you added Wet n Wild and Essense into your answer, I can now totally see where Catrice fits. Following your channel is somewhat like stepping onto a moving train. Hoping to learn more as I keeping watching.
It is so sad that Catrice discontinues their products so often. I picked up another 2 Better than Fake glosses in the shade lifting nude while they are still around in some places. I wish they just kept some of their standouts a little bit more.
Sometimes it has to do with formulations. I think they only buy formulas from factories for a limited run and then redo everything again. But yeah, it seems very wasteful to redo entire collections every 6 months.
@@FloatinginDreams Yeah, that makes sense. Luckily, there are websites/stores that carry their products even after they were discontinued with the stock that they have, so one can stock up on favorites. I have 3 unopened lipglosses in lifting nude, so that will be enough for some time.

I just did a top 5 bottom 5 video on the brand and I will be doing a full face with drugstore makeup tomorrow where I also mention my faves.
@@FloatinginDreams yes, thank you 🌹
Really like the packaging on these and some nice colourstories with decent-good quality for under €10. I agree with your #1, it is the stand out.
I know right? I definitely have to put it in a palettes revisited video some time in the fall.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video.
I got the Vintage Soul in my Catrice advent calendar last year. Very nice palette, I have to use it more 😻
I definitely have to go back to mine some time this fall.
I love Catrice makeup - but it is hard to find nowadays. Such a good review and appreciate your feedback to help your viewers not waste their money.
Where are you located? If you're in the US you can buy the brand through their official US website.
As always great reviews!! 🏆❤️
Thanks again!

You can't beat some Catrice palettes for the price point I find. Sure Viseart is great, but it's also about 10x more expensive.
Here in the states they discontinued these. I can't find them anywhere 😢

I actually thought there were 10 of these until I sat down to film this video.
Judging by the photos available online, the new Earth palette has a similar color story to Natural Spirit. I only hope the quality is there too
Yes both of the new palettes seem to be a green with browns and peaches kind of color story.
Thank you very much!
