Correction, the screen is 120hz and Snapdragon 750G (for the 5G model, the 4G model is 90hz and Snapdragon 720G). I blame gsmarena and phonearena for showing me the wrong specs, and Samsung for making it difficult to even find the specs.
Had it since Dec 21. OK phone but camera is a nightmare. Shutter lag has always been bad, also have to wait 20 seconds to view any pic I just snapped. How's your camera been? Thinking of swapping to s24, at least that has dex and can reverse charge my galaxy watch
Also I'll tell you why buying a new midrange phone is better than buying a used flagship. Battery life. I bought a used S21 FE to replace my A52 and I went back to my A52 simply because of the battery life, the headphone jack, and the SD card slot.
Mine just got the Android 14 update and it's running even better now. I'm actually thinking about switching back to this phone from my A54. Very smooth
@@jcantonelli1 it feels premium to me especially compared to the A52 but I love my A52 because of the size and the headphone jack. Probably one of the last if not the last midrange Samsung phone with a headphone jack.
@@afanasibushmanov7463 I have an A52s and also like the headphone jack, but I still almost never use it. And I agree that somehow the A52s feels even cheaper!
A52 is the last to have a headphone jack I brought it yesterday I still miss my a54 I have a oppo a74 but the camera is terrible the a52 so much better
Turns out the A52 is 90hz, while the 5G version is 120hz. This also means that the Snapdragon 720G is actually a 750G. That said, both don’t mean much in the end, as even I didn’t notice the screen or processor speed when I am constantly using 120hz phones.
Love this phone! 1 year now...$230 new here in China! HEADPHONE JACK! OIS, waterproof, 4 years of updates! Nobody cares about audio anymore?!!! Cameras and gaming, that's it? Pfffff Coming from LG phones for years... This is a blessing 👽
I'm still using the A52s 5G rn as I'm typing this. The phone died a few times like the screen has no display but you can still hear the sounds. I just leave it for a day and then it magically turns itself on again 😅 needless to say this phone has a lot of issues now. Like green lines appearing when Always on display is on and overheating is a common when playing games. But overall the phone is still very usable
Only phones with 3.5mm head phone jacks are options. This phone is the flagship phone since it has more features like a head phone jack. Any phone that does not have a 3.5mm jack is not a flagship phone.
Does it have Pause USB Power Delivery in the Game Launcher > Game Booster now in 2024? Or is the software too old to receive or have that feature or update? Hoping to hear your input. Thanks!
Had the non-5G version for about 3 years now. This phone is not good. The processor is noticeably bad. The phone operates slower than a lot of phones older than it. I do not recommend. At least it lasted me 3 years but my previous phone lasted 6.
I have the 5G version ive had the A52s 5G for a year now and tbh it's been going strong until i realised it started lagging for no reason it didnt lag much only a bit and sometimes when i open the camera app it just completely crashes out and another thing when i put my phone on charge it sometimes says its going to fully charge in 30 hours like WHAAT.. And yes i did try it with 2 different charging cables and it still did the same and for it to be normal i have to keep unplugging it & plugging it back until it shows 1 hour or something it's an okay phone but i have to upgrade for sure
@@x093lYeah, I have the 4g version and my charger port started doing the exact same thing as well. It's a mixed bag; most of the time I can get it to charge, but sometimes it's stuck standard charging and sometimes it starts slow charging. It also starts doing this when I move the cord very slightly, and the only cord that works with the phone now is the one that came with it because of the shape which keeps it in the right place. Most of the time I have to check for the vibration when I plug it in at night because sometimes I wake up and it didn't charge at all. Thinking about upgrading, maybe going all out on the s24+ 512gb while it's on sale on the education discount for the same price as the 256gb

I have the 4g version of this and it's still running as smoothly as when I first got it. I just do factory reset after every software update and use my backup phone's smartswitch to put everything back on it with the updated software. I think it starts slowing down and the battery life gets worse if you don't factory reset it after upgrading the software.
That being said, I agree that this phone isn't worth more than 150 dollars. It's good for basic tasks, but I would definitely understand why a person would want to upgrade to at least a phone like the A54.
@@_MANASYt yeah I miss the headphone jack but it's already phased out on high end phones and it becoming phased out on mid-rangers like this. At least it has an SD Card slot.

@@RealWorldReviewDo you think it’s worth buying in 2024, brand new and sealed at $230? Thanks!

What do you think about A52s 5g? worth about 250€ used? or can u recommend something similar for photo taking, gaming? under 400€?
Not worth €250 used, IMO.
Whats the minimum width of the 4g model? (In the dev options)
It's variable. Mine would have been set to 411 dp, or the 4th dot for "Font size and style" and the first dot on "Screen Zoom"
