Such a great road to drive down. Hairpin turns are scary, but you just have to heed the signs and slow down! I’ve driven up and down this road so many times going to my parents house that’s near Windham. Such a fun road to drive on. Not many roads near the area really compare. Always a blast!
I spent time as a kid (Mid 70's) in the Jewett - East Jewett area at some old piece of property (Abandoned Artist Colony?) that I swear was extremely haunted. I think the placed was managed by the Mead family. Does anyone know of that place or have any details of the history of that area? I'm trying to document the places I lived in when I was a kid. Thanks!
I love this! My family and I will be taking this drive in August 2021 on our way to Massachusetts! I'm from Wisconsin where there are no mountains and have always wanted to go to the Catskills!
