Dear Annemarie ridderhof, I am very happy that I found your channel. Unfortunately, the translator function is not available in your videos. That always helps me in some way. Since my English is rather rudimentary to describe, I cannot use your great explanations about crackle paste optimally for myself. It is exactly what I was looking for. Maybe next time?
Wow....who would have ever guessed there would be such a difference b/w brands and yet? lol....of course there would be given the differences b/w brands of paint and canvas etc! Thank you so much for doing this comparison...it was so informative. You are indeed a valuable and great resource for artists!! TY
Very cool info! The shinny gold background & the turquoise paste stencil is my favorite. I really like the different crackle sizes. It would depend on the project. Still playing catch-up! On to the next! 😁👍
I have to express how lovely it is to have you back to watch and listen to...spend a little time with! 😊 💖 I’ve been waiting for my order of Tri-Art crackle medium it’s on back order for a month! I have used it quite a while, It’s my favourite! Now, in Canada...and as I understand, everywhere else too- shelves are empty of art supplies! I purchased another brand...to experiment with ( very impatient 😊) - Folkart by Plaid crackle medium 696 for instant aged look You have to paint an undercoat on the surface, dry, apply medium, dry and add a top colour for the crackle effect to occur. Hoping it works! 😊 Take care...hope your lockdown is finished soon!
Hello ma'am, I wanted to use crackle paste in stretched canvas. Will paint varnish be strong enough to hold every crackle piece onto the canvas to prevent it from flaking off? I don't want to use resin.
I used crackle years ago and was wondering, once your crackle is dry, do you do a wash of some colour to make it show up better? I used to use it to age things.
I am thinking that when doing a piece it would be very interesting to use both products side by side e.g. to replicate cracked paint on a door, it is never uniform in real life, some bits are big splits and some are tiny...would make it very realistic....also i think i will try using the crackle in my stencil work and see what happens to the stenciled pattern, am thinking it would make writing look very ancient :)
You make my weekend! The techniques, the tips, the feeling of a visit with a good friend.
♥ Thank you so much for watching ♥

Hello ma'am,
I wanted to use crackle paste in stretched canvas. Will paint varnish be strong enough to hold every crackle piece onto the canvas to prevent it from flaking off? I don't want to use resin.
Yes it will, use your brush very carefully the first layer, I would do 2 layers. ♥♥♥
@@annemarieridderhof thank you. It's a relief to know that varnish is good enough to protect it. I usually use spray varnish.
Wonderful Video. I learned something...lol! Hugs and purrs
♥ Thank you so much for watching ♥ hugs back ♥

yes you can stain it when its dry...or add acrylic ink to it before you use it.♥ Thank you so much for watching ♥
How long did you use the hair dryer to dry them out??
as long as it needed to crack. ♥ Thank you for watching ♥

I did use a stencil...yes tiny cracks. On the 2 together, I really like the big uniform cracks best...♥♥♥
the tri art one looks like the side/back of a ladies head n the crackle is her hair.....im sure you could work your magic with it :)
hahahaha ♥ Thank you so much for watching ♥
