for small tank you can try african shell dweller varities like Neolamprologus caudopunctatus, smilies, multies, golden oscillator they are very small and have great characters

Those are juveniles of powder blue( Pseudotropheus socolofi ) mbunas herbivores rock dwelling fishes from lake Malawi they are very territorial and aggressive need at least a 60 tp 75 gallon tank. As Karthick says don’t keep them in nano tanks

Depends on fishes type bro... few required soft water. Eg. Tetras. Few need hard water. Eg. Cichlids
