Guys if you are servicing your sparkies on Nissans remember to buy a OE intake manifold gasket aswell. You dont want to reuse the old. Yes the manifold has to come off it's not hard at all plus you get to see the condition of your ports anyway. Nissan also recommends replacing the throttle body gasket every time it is disasembled. Asess its condition. Also check the intake piping between it and the filter housing it usually breaks. Especially since age of most J10's its probably broken If you see oil in the spark plug walls/oil leaking from valve cover, cancel your work and order a valve cover gasket. Some Nissans don't use a gasket, instead they use RTV and usally those also have seperate gaskets sealing the sparks. In this case you have to press them in properly with a tool Now get to work 🔥
When I spoke with Renault they only said there is the need to replace the manifold gasket, odd that they both say different things. I would play it safe and change both
@@Tidda86 you mean they didnt tell you to change the throttle body gasket? Thats why I said check its condition. In worst case you can order and replace it later. But ALWAYS replace the manifold gasket no exceptions ever.
@@HawaiiBeach_ I thought I’d ask Renault also as it’s their engine but they said inlet manifold gasket only, i did both so I could sleep at night. It’s just odd that they say different things when it’s the same engine
@@Tidda86 wait actually if you dont dissemble the throttle body then theres usually no need to change it. I believe removing the throttle body is a optional thing which is why they didnt tell you to change it. But if you remove the manifold you should clean it , and cleaning the throttle body would be a part of that process.

Great video mate, thanks for making it
No probs mate!
Thank you quick and too the point !
The black cover, what size and length are the 5 bolts on the bottom and the size of the top one's, someone took mine off and lost the bolts, thanks
Im staring in disbelief at a dualis manifold right now. Even the engine cover bolted down. On VW the coil packs would be right there!
Same boat mate. Bolting down the engine cover???
My nissan qashqai is a bit heavy on fuel, the service was done no lack on exhaust.. Please advive what to look for
What a joke of a design to get to a service part 😡
Yea mate, unfortunately a lot of stuff if going the same way now! This is why it costs so much to do routine services!
Why are you talking to your self or what
