      @@penrij8801 he ended the fight just as dagestani matey was about to have his head hammered in extra, and then shielded the filipino matey from the "naaah im fine look!" attack attempt by the dagestani guy who recovered slightly in the time it took for the ref to pull the filipino guy away.

    Amazing ref, you can tell how much he cares about fighter safety. He immediately pounced and stopped the damage when my dude's lights went out for a moment. Perfect stoppage.

      i honestly think it was an early stoppage. i would have still allowed it to continue for a few seconds until im sure that he's really unable to fight. because some fighters would still fight back and even turn the tables. glad im not a ref.

    Such a decent gentleman, he went to shake hands with everybody and showed modesty and sportsmanship. It was a wise decision to stop the fight right then, could have ended real bad if it carried on.

    In the US Army all the Filipinos were crazy good athletes, every single one of them, and if i'm being honest they were all super sweet and loyal people as well. I only knew about 5 or 6 guys and a couple girls but they were all beautiful people, great athletes, and great friends.

    I've seen this ref in many fights from many different videos and I must say he's one of the best referees I've ever seen. Always active, attentive and a quick reaction time whenever hits start landing.

    Filipinos can fight . I grew up around the crazy ones in Queens NYC. I remember talking smack out of a bus and this Filipino kid smacked me from the side walk so fast . I didn't even know how he was able to do it that fast and through such a small opening . Lol 🤣

      It's hard to tell, because when you are wrestling you get your balance back quite fast, he was rolling before the stoppage was fully made and got up pretty fast. If he had turtled and managed to get to a clinch who knows

    That referee stopped it right on time. I was thankful when the proof showed as the bearded fighter really fell forward when he tried to walk. Great stop and great fight! Both fighters were really skillful!

    Rookie move by the southpaw Saadulaev, backing up in a straight line, and coming in on a straight line. Saadulaev has gotten away with it when fighting orthodox fighters, but not so when fighting another southpaw. Kudos to Loman, nice crisp punches and kicks, and great balance.

    You saw Loman downloading his timing. This was such a high level striking contest. He finished him with what I call a drag feint. Loman was feinting /leading with his head and then dragging that left hand bomb just after he got the first reaction. The two UFC fighters that use this technique are Amanda Nunez and Colby Covington. Which is no accident because they shared the same striking coach at one point. Colby was tagging Usman with this shot quite a bit. More so in their first fight. At any rate. This was very good contest even though it was short. 👍🏾

    That was the CLEANEST counter I have ever seen. I've only seen that sort of timing from Miyata (Hajime no Ippo).
    EDIT I'm a fan of MMA, but admittedly a larger fan of anime, hence the reference. I'm not an expert on the sport, but I do love impressive moments like this. Apparently there much cleaner counters out there, but this is easily one of the best I have seen lol.

    Yeah I'd rather it be a stoppage then a potential brain injury.. especially after that wobble when he got up. I understand being rocked in the moment will do that and man's got heart I respect it.
