The only real problem is going to be the price. We just bought a 10 acre lot with a small lake and small stream for 55K and built a 2 bed 2 bath 900 sqf cabin for 74K. No we can't move it but most people arn't going to move this thing around either.
@JoshtheRVNerd and yes, you are appreciated by those of us who follow your channel, including the fact that you do your own stunts. By necessity, as well, they just happen. And we appreciate you going the extra mile to show us the inside of storage space, how furniture works or looks transitioned to sleeping or travel modes, and slides in or out etc. Most channels do not take that kind of time or effort. And you are very much appreciated for doing so. Thank you
I currently live in a 22 Yukon by Dutchman 400RL actually purchased at Coldwater store. It's a great set-up for a single guy and his dog. This would actually be fantastic in my mind for a young family
Oooh, I like it. Very cool. Putting the kitchen table in the island is a nice touch. Now they need to make one that's around 30 feet. This must be what it was like when someone first put peanut butter and jelly together in a sandwich.
I keep coming back to this channel, and every time I do, I find something new. The TREND of what I find new lately is/are semi-permanent living structures for new/under-developed land etc. I commented yesterday on this on one of your videos, then BAM you hit us with THIS THING! HOLY FREJOLES BATMAN! This thing is INCREDIBLE. IE Grab yourself a large Shelter Logic (next to your 17KW+ Solar Array) and put this in it! You can even get the Shelter Logics with windows!
I'd delete that 1/2 bath and add a closet. The bath feels like an add on and not really fully functional and that bedroom is screaming for some more hanging storage space.
Every trailer tries to emulate a residential home on some level, this maybe the first home disguised as a trailer…very well executed…except that "dirty" sign in the bathroom giving off the weird vibes 🤪😜
I can't even put into words how much I love this one 😂 Truly a home run! These are going to sell like hotcakes. As far as the bedroom closet/storage situation, I personally don't think it needs more, and I think removing the windows is a bad idea. However, my suggestion would be to offer customers the ability to delete the half bath and have that be additional storage- whether it's a small walk in closet or a big built in wall style dresser. I think that bathroom is awkward enough that some people might not even use it, and therefore would prefer the space not be wasted.
I love love love this! I would prefer no 1/2 bath and could make that a nice closet! That way you don’t have to sacrifice the windows!! Love the ceiling height! Amazing! I also am okay with the storage sectional! I would probably do without coffee table and side table and I can have an ottoman if wanted!
The wife and I have talked about how RV makers should get into the tiny home market because they use space so much better than the tiny home makers, and here we go. Really like this. Still would like - Full size w/d combo like GE and LG make. Stove vent that exhausts outside. Factory installed mini split for fewer roof perforations. I know, you can't have it all. But we're getting closer :)
Geniusly insane. Love it. Recliners please. The coffee table is nice. Closing the shades on the upper windows seems a little difficult to reach. I think they have a winner here.
Hey did i here you say a DINE- A LAND , I totally love this,i do agree with you about the master bed closet space. Already has enough windows, full closet across the front, cedar, wjth shoe stg would definitely sell me, instantly on this DINORIG. PERFECT for us 65 year old grandparents, just perfect yesirEBob.!!!!!
You're right, very homey. Living room- Leave the couch as is. With all the sleeping space as is, a fold out isn't nec. If the back cushions are able to come off it would about make a twin bed size. Overflow can pitch a tent. I love all the storage, it would be nice to have a couple of lounger seats facing the TV. I like the coffee table, but I really like the kind that brings the table to you. I'm not crazy about the full bath off the kitchen. There are a lot of +'s here. I could see enjoying this lakeside. Having plenty of space for friends to come for a couple of days is perfect.
Love it!!! We we are going to give this a good hard consideration for our next trailer this year. Why not include a dishwasher or atleast a rough in? A must for a level of trailer!
WHO?!?!? Is running Forest River right now, because they are killing it!!! - The View Series - This new desti-wheel Roost trailer - The Veranda (yet to come) - The new logo - The new website layout It is apparent that Forest River is waking up and changing. Thank you Josh for the amazing video and all your work!!! - Nate from Buffalo Cougar 29BHS #RVNerdHerd member since ‘21
Josh, GREAT get by you on this one! Clever to create a combination destination/5th wheel that enables some valuable added square feet, which for me (and I'm sure MANY others) suddenly makes this feel like a residential lakefront cottage-type structure vs. an RV. Then add on a big front deck overlooking a lake/river/pond, and this sucker looks like a VERY cost-effective way to thoroughly own your own vacation "home"...plus with a few modifications like a plusher L-shaped sofa, maybe some real tile in the kitchen vs. that wallpaper-looking stuff, etc. But all in all, GREAT potential written all over this rig.
Ottomen/TV tray. On the fence about the couch. Not black appliances-I love them, but this set-up needs a color of appliane that fades in the background, customers will decorate. Love the loft. Offer a optional concept or capability of interchangeably for the other bedroom. Thank you for your incites ❤😊
Honestly the play for the couch should be a hid-a-bed. I wonder if someone has created an L shaped couch that has both. I think the hid-a-bed is important because it adds a second sleeping space for older adult visitors that simply can't climb into a loft.
We do indeed appreciate your many sacrifices. Well, I do, anyway. This rig is mind blowing! The coffee table looks great but I believe one of those ottoman-to-table combos would be appreciated more day to day. A tri-fold would be so awesome tucked into that sofa somewhere.
We travel for work and this would be perfect. I definitely think they should consider a smoother suspension system. This rig is AMAZING! We already drag our 40’ fifth wheel all over the country 😂. Might as well have something that feels more like home. 😊
No worries about not showing road mode. I don't think this mega5th will be spending any time in a Cracker Barrel parking lot. I like the kitchen-dining layout here. Feels more comfortable/spacious than the small dining table pushed off to the side.
They could add the drop down side patio, that's folds up & down, on front of the sliding patio doors. I mean it all ready heavy so what a few more lbs. The half bath is ok but it seem like one could decrease the length of that space, and fund more hanging closet space, which you mentioned, to be lacking a little But I live this set up Josh.
If I may… this looks like something I would plop on a piece of land by a lake preferably and call it my vacation destination. Unless I had a semi to tow it around!!! Dreams baby!!!! Love the new minds that create something so exciting!!!👍👍👍👍 About the bedroom… I don’t think it needs more closet space. It’s only an excuse to fill it with more stuff you won’t use. I like the windows and the make up seat looking outside!!!
This is BEAUTIFUL! 💙🥰❤ And yes, if you were say a full time RV’er, and wanted to move it say from two or more locations where you had land a few times a year, this would be excellent! Yes, give me an ottoman that I can put a cushion on top of, or remove the cushion and pop it up to access storage or get some work done! 👍🏼🤠 Re: upstairs space, put a clothes bar in there to hang stuff up OR use it as is. Give us the option!
You said early on that you had 33 minutes, and the video was almost 30 minutes long. You owe that gentleman who stayed for you a tip, a McDonalds gift card or something! 😂
You’ve only been doing this for 16 years?!? Why does it feel like twice that to me? 😂😂 J/K I love your content even now that I already bought my forever RV, I still watch.
As for the dining table, I would add to either one side or the other, a fully hinged countertop extension so it would fold 180 degrees to the bottom of the current counter, but you could remove/turn a latch and free the extension, then have 1, 2, or 3 of those those sliding bars that would side under the extension to hold it open. Massive prep space when needed
I love when a R-V manufacturer does some fresh out of the box thinking with a new floorplan instead of the same old worn out floorplan that everybody is building, i think they nailed it Thanks Nerd
Oh great......I just got a seasonal site on a lake, and have been spending tons of money fancying it up. Now Uncle Josh has to show me one of these.......😂
You made a comment that a destination trailer would not need solar. This may be true for most. But if the destination was remote, your normal location being a great distance away from the trailer, and it maybe possible for a loss of electrical would be iffy. Especially if the location is in a remote area, it could experience loss of power while you are away. Or one may even the want to be less reliant on the grid. Let alone the security of monitoring the location. I see a great need to have a roof full of solar.Just food for thought. Thanks for you videos paul (yes I typed a small p because I'm nobody)
Ty for weighing in. I feel like if a destination trailer is going to be used remotely, then they’re going to need more solar than a factory will really provide Either way feels like it’s DIY done Does that make sense?
Cool floor plan. Skip the dippy metal shelves in the master bedroom and 1/2 bath. Add deep medicine cabinet in 1/2 bath and cabinets above the bed. Would prefer ottoman coffee table/desk option. Some high cabinets in the big bathroom instead of the fold down shelf by the door? Couch - 1/2 storage and a trifold? Theater seat option for fireplace facing section? Dishwasher would be great - vertical 18" or drawer under sink. Floor vents - isn't there a way to do low vertical vents? Would be cool if they could design a roof that can lift after transport that is hard sided for the loft spaces. In master bedroom, instead of 3 windows in the bay, have 1 in the middle, vanity space (as shown) with cabinet above and make floor to ceiling cabinets on the sides for hanging wardrobe.
I think this thing is AWESOME!! For the bedroom...windows all the way please. Come on Josh, that is plenty of storage in the bedroom. How many clothes do you need to hang up? I think the bathroom is just fine for what you need in the night. The stairs are fabulous. So charming. The two -toned cabinets, I think, look classy. Love the coffee station. Plus, the middle bed area is absolutely perfect and fun for guests or kids that are staying with you. The loft, I would probably be fighting over for a reading nook (keep in mind we are all not 6', but I love that you always mention that because my husband is over 6' and that gives me a great visual), but it would be nice for guests as well. I absolutely love this thing!!!! Soooo AWESOME. Solar would be a must. I do like the idea of a raising coffee table to function as a desk/tv tray. The couch I am sure is fine the way it is as long as it is comfy and cozy. Great video, Josh. Thank you so much and thanks to the guy sticking around for you. I soo want to see this one in person. I do always debate on cabin or something like this, but if you did want to move it you have that option and I think that is great.
My thought on the storage in the bedroom is this is the kind of break that will appeal to someone as an alternative house. Someone staying in it for that long typically has need for more clothing storage than a weekender.
Nice. Sofa with theater seats, no sleeper as the bonus bed in the hall or loft fits that need. Ottoman with lift up top. Solar would be good for refrigerated food if/when power goes out, otherwise no. Master wardrobe is fine. Guess is I can store more clothes elsewhere if needed. Thanks for the tour.
Just a head's up, the link searches for 43roost and finds nothing, but if you search for roost43 it will work. When you mentioned you do your own stunts the other half said you were Evel Knievil, but that left me thinking that you should claim the title ov RV-vel Knievil instead of RV Nerd. The double outside fridges should be replaced by a dual zone chest style fridge on a little slide in my opinion - it would be great for holding drinks on the fridge side and cheap freezer pops (or ice cream sandwiches) on the freezer side. Yes, I think the middle loft would just become storage but how's this for an idea if you can picture it... Turn that loft into a giant hanging storage area! It might require sacrificing some of the space above the laundry OR, you know how at dry cleaning places they have those rotating hanging racks? That'd be kinda cool. Perhaps with a little slide out tray to store things inside the "circle" of the rotating rack. We rather like this one, but it's not quite for us. It's just a bit more than we think we can handle, even if we hired someone to relocate it for us twice a year from a Summer site to a Winter site and back. We both think solar would be preferred for this unit in that regard because if you're at a park or resort most of them charge folks for actual metered electricity if they stay for more than a week or so and if you're at your own private site you'd still pay for electricity from a meter so you might as well offset that as much as possible and in some areas you can sell surplus power to the grid. Honestly, I'm rather shocked at the price listed on the site if it's not just a placeholder for the moment. Thanks for the tour, Uncle Josh, er, I mean RV-vel Knievil!
I feel like they missed the opportunity with the sliding door to have that part of the wall fold down into a deck since it is a destination trailer. It would have been really cool to have a trailer with a porch
Beautiful Rig!!! Love that all sleeping areas are upstairs and downstairs is homey. Like the regular sofa(not a bed) and would prefer a coffee table that lifted.
The style is outstanding! I love the bath and a half concept and having a washer and dryer. *The shelf above the washer and dryer is something I would probably smack my head on getting the laundry out of the dryer!* I would prefer theater seats that recline facing the tv, which,by the way, is phenomenal! The back loft would be excellent storage. I don’t care for the big bathroom being downstairs from the master. I would prefer the half bath on the main level and the big bath by the bedroom. I *get* the idea of the king bunk/loft area…honestly, that’s a lot of space that hubby and I wouldn’t use. I agree with you on the hanging space-there could be more since this is really a destination trailer. Thank you Uncle Josh for all your hard work!
This type of design is really going to lead to new things I think, just like the "tiny home-inspired" model you showed the other day... new things happening all of the time! Awesome video and very nice for you to rush so that the manager wasn't late for his date.
It already sleeps six. I think the choice to put in a couch that has a sole purpose of being a comfortable place to sit instead of an uncomfortable sofa that turns into an uncomfortable bed is just smart. Too many RVs have seating that tries to be too many things and doesn't work properly for any of them. Cheers. Nice rig for a family for sure!
They need a theater seat across from the TV. They should make the entertainment smaller in the bedroom and make the wardrobes and drawers wider. A better pin box and suspension would make it more tow friendly even just to park it. The landing gear/stabilizer don't seem to be enough to stabilize that rig. I only see the front ones. That beast needs at least a 6 point.
WOW!!! It's bigger than a New York City apartment. I see it as an alternative to a permanent structure park model. Like a seasonal summer home. Where a permanent concrete platform for the park aka single wide or double wide has sewer, water, etc, has an extra expense. I'm not talking about rv parks or park sites. I'm talking about personal land that is owned. He's the real idea. My dad owned land in northern Wisconsin. He bought a park model. He found out he didn't like traveling 6 to 7 hours every time he wanted to go there. He sold the land and park trailer. Then bought land closer to home and spent the same money again for another park trailer. With this, it's still portable enough that it can be relocated so (in my dad's situation), you won't have to spend the extra money on a new model. And like you said, if you don't have the vehicle to tow it, hire someone to move it for you. I'm pretty sure the towing cost is way cheaper than buying a new model. That's my 2 cents. My only real question is, I noticed that women platform is by the patio deck, is there a set of steps to get in the without their supplied deck platform? I know is was a quick for you video, but its still a question. Buy a Mercedes-Benz M2 sport chassis with the proper hitch and go. That rear loft closet, I wouldn't put a hanging rod. I would put shelves or a swing out tv arm for kids to watch movies or play video games. The front closet, me personally I don't have that many hanging clothes so I would prefer the windows. Was there a "coat closet" by the door?
we had been looking at other destination trailers for the lot we bought at lake of the ozarks but this just moved to top spot just need to find one to look at in person.
I'm never sacrificing windows! I'll just have fewer clothes. That's what that washer/dryer are for. Cat lofts! I'm not usually a fan of islands but since it's also the dining space and no additional area is wasted on a dinette, I'm digging this. Hope the official sectional looks as good as this placeholder. And no, for me, it wouldn't need to convert to a sleep area. I'm usually about the light and bright colors, and usually anti-brown, but the color scheme is fine with me.
Love the far more residential look and feel of this floorplan compared to most of the same old boring RV floorplans of the past and present👍👍👍this is definitely a “Park” camper but solar and a couple batteries can come in handy for the occasional short power outage😮
Solar is to keep power when the grid goes down, and to be a lot cheaper than grid power in the long term. Given how much the cost of power has risen and looks to continue to rise, and how solar is still drifting down in price, I would be going with quite a bit of solar and a massive battery system, along with a generator.
You’ve only been doing this for 16 years?!? Why does it feel like twice that to me? 😂😂 J/K I love your content even now that I already bought my forever RV.
Thanks Nerd! Destination is my first thought as well since most "travel" RV parks will not have sites long enough for the tow vehicle and the RV to fit in one space generally and the gas milage on the tow vehicle 😱even on a hill let alone mountain. In the kid's loft the cabinet should have a clothes hanging wrack. I agree with you that solar is not so important on this type of RV. If someone moves it out to a piece of property as a primary dwelling, most likely they are going to put fixed roof structure over the RV and that is where they might attach some solar array.
This is absolutely a vehicle to take on the road. This truly allows you travel with a real home. This is a full timers dream 🤩. So yes add the suspension and solar.
This is an elegant RV, All this space everywhere and storage too, except for the Master Bedroom, where the people paying for it don’t have a lot of place to put their stuff. Sorry I love ❤️ love 💗 this, except for that element. I guess I’m getting a little selfish in my old age of 55! Also, with all that height you would think they would make it where an adult could sit up in the loft on those beds. Blessings and Peace ✝️❤️
Absolutely love it! Only thing I don’t love is the two color cabinets, if they were all on color it would make the trailer look more open and less busy. Storage couch is awesome and I love the residential coffee table instead of a storage one
Hey Uncle Josh, I hope that you're having a great day! I love this new Forest River Wildwood Heritage Glen Roost43 destination fifth wheel! I love the inside decor, and the colors that they are using. I glad it has all the windows on the camp side of the fifth wheel. I do kinda wish that it was two full bathrooms instead of a bath and a half. I do like that it has two electric fireplaces in it. I like how they done the loft over the living room then you have the smaller loft by the master bedroom. I like that they put a 65inch tv in the living room. I like how theare doing the sofa, and it wouldn't be that hard to put a single recliner in the living room. I do like.that you get a washer and dryer in the full bathroom. I hope that they don't change to much in this Wildwood Heritage Glen Roost43! Thank you Uncle Josh for showing us and giving us all the information good an bad. Your number one fan an friend Leonard from North Carolina!! #NERDHERD!!!!!!!😎😃😎
It's close to perfect but here is what would make it better 1) yes theater seats instead of that very uncomfortable looking sectional wannabe. Probably enough room for a theater seat and a recliner 2) agree on hanging closet space. Put TV on front of a cabinet door and but more hanging space behind TV. It's currently a giant waste of space and I've seen it done before 3) boy those step going up to main front bedroom look a little dangerous for older folks 4) generator prep 5) lose the vessel sink in full bath. Put in regular sink. So much easier to clean counter Like I said nicely done and great 1st try. A few tweaks and it would be amazing
This one is great! This would be the PERFECT fulltime rv if they would do a few things! Slide out dinette, put a dishwasher and more storage under the dinette, and raise the roof 3 to 4 more inches in the lofts. I wish they would do this. Can you give them feedback before they go into production? Also, thanks for all of your videos. I watch a lot of them. P.s I hate my profile Pic. IT was not me, it's was my son. Haha
I could do without the loft which also gets rid of the stairs which would make the living room seem huge. I’d put theater chairs in the slide facing the TV and a couch along the other wall.
I'm glad you explained the size restriction early on as I couldn't figure out why anyone would build a 5th wheel destination trailer. Too bad they used the Z fold blinds. Roller blinds would upscale it without adding much cost. I'd even go further with daytime blinds as well. Where are the sound system speakers for the TV? They have the space for a sound bar with center channel with a little rearrangement of the entertainment center. Couple that with a couple of ceiling speakers in the ceiling on the other side and you'd have a reasonable 5.1 system. They could get rid of the blue lighting as it is well past its sell by date. Are there air vents in the loft? If not it will get mighty hot in the summer. I'd like to see hanging storage in the cabinet. I'm ok with the two tone cabinets but the what looks like off white and beige clashes with the grey backsplash. I like the high top eating area. I like vessel sinks. It is an upgrade I am planning for our trailer after this camping season ends. They allow a larger sink with smaller counters not to mention adding an upscale look. I like the industrial look of the towel bar. The level changes in the upper deck could be a problem at night. I like the split storage under the bed with open access to the baskets. It can be a pain to have to lift the mattress for items you use reasonably often. I think the tight half bath would be better as wardrobe storage. I could see solar being a thing for someone who is going to place this on a bit property they use for weekend getaways. For those that put them in an RV park I don't see a big call for solar unless they are maybe living in it full time and have to pay high park utilities.
Hey I’m sorry if I missed something while replying - TH-cam doesn’t allow me to respond and scroll at the same time on this app Ty for the half bath feedback! Lot of folks in agreement
There should be an option to omit 1/2 bath to make that a MB closet. I think storage in couch is more important with a big ottoman so you can still prop your feet up. Hanging rod in loft closet and lastly, back splash in kitchen. But, overall, absolutely LOVE IT.
FIRST: MIIIIIIINNNNNDDDBBBLLLOOOOWWWNN😮 Regarding suggestions: Offer sofa or theater seating, same with coffee table or ottoman option. I imagine folks will be split over those items. The loft storage cabinet should include both adjustable/removable shelving AND a hanging bar. I like the master bedroom window/desk a lot. The half bath is spot-on for me but perhaps a closet option in lieu of the half bath may be right for some folks hoarding a lot of clothes. I could see a maximizing minimalist want to cover the roof with solar, but I don't think the factory needs to engineer such a specialized use. This thing is MAMMOTH. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😂😂😂😂
Park this baby year-round and enjoy a vacation for all seasons. We could live in this for months on end. Coffee table, make it like a home, yes forget the hide abed idea. The rear loft is for storage, Christmas lights and ornaments maybe a plastic tree and other garage type things. I love the colors bright and airy. The bathroom is wonderful and are you kidding the bedroom is perfect and keep the front windows.
I'm with Josh on the two tone color design, particularly the black paint. Black has always been a trendy look and a short lived one at that. It's already going out of style. Give me a clean, classic, understated elegant look and I'm a happy camper.
1) Coffee table. 2) Yes, add a hanging bar upstairs in storage box. 3) Very sleek and modern looking. That back wall is nice but it needs to be a backsplash washable wall to clean up after your cooking. 4) What brand of camera and mic do you use? 5) Very fluffy friendly toilet 🚽 LOVE ❤️ it. 6) YES!!!! Full solar on the roof. This would make for a great second home, especially for off grid somewhere pretty with a lake. When SHTF, this would make for a great solitude place. 37) Great video on a great trailer. Thank you to the dude for staying late. Hope his wife didn’t yell at him too loud 😂
I would add theater seating option for one side, and a sofa bed for the other (or what they have now for storage). That way the customer could chose any combination they wanted. And I would definitely opt for the storage ottoman with lifted desk/table.
This is the best iv seen. I would love to have the "Brinkley" sofa in this one. Love the shape and size but prefer the color and texture of the brinkley sofa thats fabric instead of pleather :) two barstools are enough, five is just to much unless theres storage for two for use every so often. Love it has two fireplaces :) i would add a curtain or something to close off the loft bed next to the primary bedroom. The spiral is perfect, looks much better than ladders.
There needs to be a theater seat so I can kick back with my feet up. Like the coffee table but open to the other. I like the two tone look. I love this floor plan but I would make a few changes. First, I need a unit that I can tow and not just drop at a destination. But, this would be a unit I would use to winter in down south! So, give me a true nose cap and different roof treatment. Remove the loft above the living area and give me a tapered roof line front to back. With that the entry would need some work but I like the sliding door so how about a drop down porch arangement with steps off the side? Generator would be a must. Also, need a shelf next to the bed for a CPAP.
I have seen some over-the-top tacky RVs at RV shows and this one is definitely not one of those. This is done very well and there is so much to like about it. It’s great as asset is biggest liability as usual. it’s bigger than what I need at this point of my life. I’m in my 50s and my kids are grown. I would love to see them. Take a few of these ideas and squeeze it into something smaller. Thanks again nerd.
You definitely wouldn’t want to take it on a long trip, as it is as arrow dynamic as a loaf of Bread.I have never seen anything like it before.Over all a really nice unit.A combo Tiny house, destination Fifth wheel. Thanks for sacrificing your chrome dome in the rear loft for all of us!
This is by far the best destination trailer I've ever seen. This is also something I can see living full time on a pond or lake. It's stupendous!
So glad you like it! Ty
I love the lay out it's a tossup between this and the Salem
Best destination trailer….or 5th wheel, sorry the best trailer I’ve seen thus far! Love it!
We’re gonna need a bigger truck, Margaret
😄👍
Bwa ha ha! Cover your eyes Margaret!!
😂
The only real problem is going to be the price.
We just bought a 10 acre lot with a small lake and small stream for 55K and built a 2 bed 2 bath 900 sqf cabin for 74K. No we can't move it but most people arn't going to move this thing around either.
Nice deal!!
I’d love to find a property like that for my daughter. I got my farmhouse. ❤ It’s amazing living out here.
where did you find that much property for that low price? since this is my only issue finding affordable land
@@donaldhonaker5231 Irons MI
I agree actually
Can we all take a moment to appreciate that Josh does all his own stunts 0:08 😅
That wasn't a gag. I was just not paying attention and straight BLASTED a roof truss. I bingo'd that sucker
Thank you
Home away from home? How about just home?
Probably that too
I currently live in a 22 Yukon by Dutchman 400RL actually purchased at Coldwater store.
I agree!
Wildwood and Cherokee have a few things coming that may work for you
I keep coming back to this channel, and every time I do, I find something new.
Man I appreciate you
I want to park this at a lake and spend all summer
That’s exactly how I see it - lake site
I want to put this on some land ❤
Wowwwww!! Heritage Glen giving Brinkley a run for their money with that interior. I would say there's some parts of this I like even better.
I'd delete that 1/2 bath and add a closet. The bath feels like an add on and not really fully functional and that bedroom is screaming for some more hanging storage space.
Ty for the bath / closet
Every trailer tries to emulate a residential home on some level, this maybe the first home disguised as a trailer…very well executed…except that "dirty" sign in the bathroom giving off the weird vibes 🤪😜
Thats a really interesting observation.. wow
Thank you for watching and sharing
I love love love this!
I would prefer no 1/2 bath and could make that a nice closet! That way you don’t have to sacrifice the windows!!
Love the ceiling height! Amazing!
I also am okay with the storage sectional! I would probably do without coffee table and side table and I can have an ottoman if wanted!
I wrote out a comment, I had said the exact same thing about the 1/2 bath and windows.
Awesome Ty for this
I was literally here to write that exact comment! 😅
Wow, that’s amazing. Haven been looking to buy some acres. This could be perfect. I’d build a steel roof around it… to keep elements away.
Yeah - and no permitting required like building a cabin!
Closer every day!
Geniusly insane. Love it. Recliners please. The coffee table is nice. Closing the shades on the upper windows seems a little difficult to reach. I think they have a winner here.
I'd say nay to recliners because they almost always default to theater seating...which I loathe...
@@rvail136 Yeah, I understand. In my case with my back issues, I cannot sleep in a bed, only in a recliner.
It definitely was harder to teach up there. You’d want a step stool
OMG! I think I just found my destination home for my land in Coldarado…. I love all of the features it has…
Coldarado? It is cold 🥶
@@gregbrooks3577yes it is😂
We’ll be ready when you are
In that upper closet should have ahngger rod with a shelf above.!!
👍🏻
Hey did i here you say a DINE- A LAND , I totally love this,i do agree with you about the master bed closet space. Already has enough windows, full closet across the front, cedar, wjth shoe stg would definitely sell me, instantly on this
DINORIG. PERFECT for us 65 year old grandparents, just perfect yesirEBob.!!!!!
DINEoMITE
Ok, this is pretty freaking cool.
Yeah it’s kinda wild
You're right, very homey. Living room- Leave the couch as is. With all the sleeping space as is, a fold out isn't nec. If the back cushions are able to come off it would about make a twin bed size. Overflow can pitch a tent. I love all the storage, it would be nice to have a couple of lounger seats facing the TV. I like the coffee table, but I really like the kind that brings the table to you.
I'm not crazy about the full bath off the kitchen.
There are a lot of +'s here. I could see enjoying this lakeside. Having plenty of space for friends to come for a couple of days is perfect.
Yeah I think it has some specific niche uses and serves those well
Love it!!! We we are going to give this a good hard consideration for our next trailer this year. Why not include a dishwasher or atleast a rough in? A must for a level of trailer!
WHO?!?!? Is running Forest River right now, because they are killing it!!!
- The View Series
- This new desti-wheel Roost trailer
- The Veranda (yet to come)
- The new logo
- The new website layout
It is apparent that Forest River is waking up and changing.
Thank you Josh for the amazing video and all your work!!!

FR has always killed it. Just sayin' :) cheers!
The one we had was crap
@@lindacalderon6417 Why? I mean... make a blanket statement, then give zero reasons why, or how, etc. not very helpful? Just sayin'
I miss that cougar 29bhs.. loved that layout!
Awesome! Glad you like it
We have a 2021 Wildwood Heritage Glen 36FL and love it, but Better Half wishes she could trade it in for this one. Super Cool.
That 36 is cool though! Great camp kitchen
I looove this unit! But no half bath and a full closet would be icing on the cake. Keep those amazing windows!
Will do Ty
Ottomen/TV tray. On the fence about the couch. Not black appliances-I love them, but this set-up needs a color of appliane that fades in the background, customers will decorate. Love the loft. Offer a optional concept or capability of interchangeably for the other bedroom. Thank you for your incites ❤😊
Ty for the comments!
Honestly the play for the couch should be a hid-a-bed. I wonder if someone has created an L shaped couch that has both. I think the hid-a-bed is important because it adds a second sleeping space for older adult visitors that simply can't climb into a loft.
I feel like theater across from tv and hideabed on other side works
We do indeed appreciate your many sacrifices. Well, I do, anyway. This rig is mind blowing!
The coffee table looks great but I believe one of those ottoman-to-table combos would be appreciated more day to day. A tri-fold would be so awesome tucked into that sofa somewhere.
Thank you very much! Agree on the sofa
We travel for work and this would be perfect. I definitely think they should consider a smoother suspension system. This rig is AMAZING! We already drag our 40’ fifth wheel all over the country 😂. Might as well have something that feels more like home. 😊
This is really made for parking rather than regular moving
Suspension upgrades would likely be aftermarket
No worries about not showing road mode. I don't think this mega5th will be spending any time in a Cracker Barrel parking lot. I like the kitchen-dining layout here. Feels more comfortable/spacious than the small dining table pushed off to the side.
I agree but it’s something I think people have kind of come to expect from my videos
Ty Don!
If I may… this looks like something I would plop on a piece of land by a lake preferably and call it my vacation destination.
Unless I had a semi to tow it around!!!
Dreams baby!!!! Love the new minds that create something so exciting!!!👍👍👍👍
About the bedroom… I don’t think it needs more closet space. It’s only an excuse to fill it with more stuff you won’t use. I like the windows and the make up seat looking outside!!!
A semi and suspension upgrade would be in order for sure
A Destination RV with a respectable basement!
🎉🎉🎉🎉
That is tempting. 🤔
Right?
This is BEAUTIFUL! 💙🥰❤ And yes, if you were say a full time RV’er, and wanted to move it say from two or more locations where you had land a few times a year, this would be excellent!
Yes, give me an ottoman that I can put a cushion on top of, or remove the cushion and pop it up to access storage or get some work done! 👍🏼🤠
Re: upstairs space, put a clothes bar in there to hang stuff up OR use it as is. Give us the option!
You said early on that you had 33 minutes, and the video was almost 30 minutes long. You owe that gentleman who stayed for you a tip, a McDonalds gift card or something! 😂
Definitely need a delivery driver with a dually or .. your own dually lol
You’ve only been doing this for 16 years?!? Why does it feel like twice that to me? 😂😂 J/K I love your content even now that I already bought my forever RV, I still watch.
My wife says it only feels like we’ve been married 53 years
We are 41 years old
As for the dining table, I would add to either one side or the other, a fully hinged countertop extension so it would fold 180 degrees to the bottom of the current counter, but you could remove/turn a latch and free the extension, then have 1, 2, or 3 of those those sliding bars that would side under the extension to hold it open. Massive prep space when needed
That’s a cool idea thank you
I love when a R-V manufacturer does some fresh out of the box thinking with a new floorplan instead of the same old worn out floorplan that everybody is building, i think they nailed it Thanks Nerd
Agreed
Wow..it's like a tiny home..Wildwood is hitting it out of the park...looks fantastic 👏
It really is!
Oh great......I just got a seasonal site on a lake, and have been spending tons of money fancying it up. Now Uncle Josh has to show me one of these.......😂
Sorry not sorry 😂
You made a comment that a destination trailer would not need solar. This may be true for most. But if the destination was remote, your normal location being a great distance away from the trailer, and it maybe possible for a loss of electrical would be iffy. Especially if the location is in a remote area, it could experience loss of power while you are away. Or one may even the want to be less reliant on the grid. Let alone the security of monitoring the location. I see a great need to have a roof full of solar.Just food for thought. Thanks for you videos paul (yes I typed a small p because I'm nobody)
Ty for weighing in. I feel like if a destination trailer is going to be used remotely, then they’re going to need more solar than a factory will really provide
Either way feels like it’s DIY done
Does that make sense?
Love it but need my theatre seats.
👍🏻 wondered how people would feel about that
Cool floor plan.
Love all the ideas.. ty for this
Bedroom is just perfect! I would choose a smaller bed
What size?
Always appreciate the sense of humor as well as unbiased opinions. God bless you and yours Josh!
I appreciate that! Thank you for watching!
I actually agree on the sofa
Theater across from tv
Storage on rear wall
I would also add that latched hidden storage area behind the TV/Fireplace wall that a few other manufactures have
It would be great for dvd player, dvds and gaming systems.
👍🏻
I owe ya
Josh was so excited about this thing he forgot to finish his highlights and points to consider list 😂
🤦🏻♂️
I feel like they missed the opportunity with the sliding door to have that part of the wall fold down into a deck since it is a destination trailer. It would have been really cool to have a trailer with a porch
I don't hate the idea..
Beautiful Rig!!! Love that all sleeping areas are upstairs and downstairs is homey. Like the regular sofa(not a bed) and would prefer a coffee table that lifted.
Separated sleeping is always nice
TY Gail! Appreciate your visits
This type of design is really going to lead to new things I think, just like the "tiny home-inspired" model you showed the other day... new things happening all of the time! Awesome video and very nice for you to rush so that the manager wasn't late for his date.
There’s a growing segment of people looking at RVs as alternative housing
I wonder if that didn’t fuel this one along
It already sleeps six. I think the choice to put in a couch that has a sole purpose of being a comfortable place to sit instead of an uncomfortable sofa that turns into an uncomfortable bed is just smart. Too many RVs have seating that tries to be too many things and doesn't work properly for any of them.
Cheers. Nice rig for a family for sure!
I agree totally on the couch
They need a theater seat across from the TV. They should make the entertainment smaller in the bedroom and make the wardrobes and drawers wider. A better pin box and suspension would make it more tow friendly even just to park it. The landing gear/stabilizer don't seem to be enough to stabilize that rig. I only see the front ones. That beast needs at least a 6 point.
I suspect people are going to do things like add jacks and block it up
Wooden platform not woman platform. Damn autocorrect
saw your 2nd comment. I call that "Autocorrupt" lol :)
I've been watching RV videos for 16 years and I've never seen an RV salesman that big before.
Compared to several fellas here at just my home store I'm on the smaller side
Did he say tur-duckin’ country? Because that is comedy gold
He did
Aww Josh..took one for the team!! Watch that ceiling!! Oy. That is a crazy amazing rig!!
I frickin’ bingo’d that roof truss man
we had been looking at other destination trailers for the lot we bought at lake of the ozarks but this just moved to top spot just need to find one to look at in person.
wow awesome!
Ty for the decor feedback! I’m not sure about the two tone cabinetry myself
Love the far more residential look and feel of this floorplan compared to most of the same old boring RV floorplans of the past and present👍👍👍this is definitely a “Park” camper but solar and a couple batteries can come in handy for the occasional short power outage😮
Kinda how I felt. Ty Steve
Solar is to keep power when the grid goes down, and to be a lot cheaper than grid power in the long term. Given how much the cost of power has risen and looks to continue to rise, and how solar is still drifting down in price, I would be going with quite a bit of solar and a massive battery system, along with a generator.
Fair Ty
Josh, the Tom Cruise of RV action films!
lol
I am in love with this RV!! I see bought space in it for our 8 pets (which includes 2 dragins) and the human family of 4 😍😍😍😍
Love it!!
I need one of these up in canada 🇨🇦 😆
Love the vids make me laugh 😂 and informative!!
Keep it up !!
Thanks! 😃 cheers
You’ve only been doing this for 16 years?!? Why does it feel like twice that to me? 😂😂 J/K I love your content even now that I already bought my forever RV.
Feels like that to me too lol
Thanks Nerd! Destination is my first thought as well since most "travel" RV parks will not have sites long enough for the tow vehicle and the RV to fit in one space generally and the gas milage on the tow vehicle 😱even on a hill let alone mountain. In the kid's loft the cabinet should have a clothes hanging wrack. I agree with you that solar is not so important on this type of RV. If someone moves it out to a piece of property as a primary dwelling, most likely they are going to put fixed roof structure over the RV and that is where they might attach some solar array.
Yeah even a lot of seasonal sites struggle with something this size
This is absolutely a vehicle to take on the road. This truly allows you travel with a real home. This is a full timers dream 🤩. So yes add the suspension and solar.
TY beverly
This is an elegant RV, All this space everywhere and storage too, except for the Master Bedroom, where the people paying for it don’t have a lot of place to put their stuff. Sorry I love ❤️ love 💗 this, except for that element. I guess I’m getting a little selfish in my old age of 55! Also, with all that height you would think they would make it where an adult could sit up in the loft on those beds. Blessings and Peace ✝️❤️
Ty! Be safe
Absolutely love it! Only thing I don’t love is the two color cabinets, if they were all on color it would make the trailer look more open and less busy. Storage couch is awesome and I love the residential coffee table instead of a storage one
Yeah I am also not in love with that
Hey Uncle Josh, I hope that you're having a great day!
Ty Leonard
PERSONALLY WOULD GET RID OF THE HALF BATH AND TURN IT INTO A CLOSET AND WOULD LIKE RECLINERS
👍🏻 Ty sue
It's close to perfect but here is what would make it better
1) yes theater seats instead of that very uncomfortable looking sectional wannabe. Probably enough room for a theater seat and a recliner
2) agree on hanging closet space. Put TV on front of a cabinet door and but more hanging space behind TV. It's currently a giant waste of space and I've seen it done before
3) boy those step going up to main front bedroom look a little dangerous for older folks
4) generator prep
5) lose the vessel sink in full bath. Put in regular sink. So much easier to clean counter
Like I said nicely done and great 1st try. A few tweaks and it would be amazing
Fair requests really.. Ty
Haha
😆
I could do without the loft which also gets rid of the stairs which would make the living room seem huge. I’d put theater chairs in the slide facing the TV and a couch along the other wall.
I actually had a similar thought
In the back of the stove should be a subway tile look.😢
Seems pretty easy for someone to apply I’d think
Hey I’m sorry if I missed something while replying - TH-cam doesn’t allow me to respond and scroll at the same time on this app
Ty for the half bath feedback!
That's a great idea!
This is so amazing! I love what wildwood is cooking up! They are absolutely changing the game! Thank you Josh!
You bet!
For my husband and myself it was actually the only floor plan we both said it would work for us really liked it alot
🤩
FIRST: MIIIIIIINNNNNDDDBBBLLLOOOOWWWNN😮
Regarding suggestions:
Offer sofa or theater seating, same with coffee table or ottoman option.
lol yeah.. it's HUUUUUGE
I suspect it’ll be an alternative to a house for some people
I love it,love it. But I would have to sell the farm to afford and buy it. Great videography.
well TY for that
I'm with Josh on the two tone color design, particularly the black paint. Black has always been a trendy look and a short lived one at that. It's already going out of style. Give me a clean, classic, understated elegant look and I'm a happy camper.
Awesome. Thank you
i would like to see a hanging bar in the loft storage for extra clothes storage
Ty
Thanks Nerrrrrddddd!
You bet
4.) junk. The random junk I had lying around
No joke
I use zero quality professional grade equipment
I would add theater seating option for one side, and a sofa bed for the other (or what they have now for storage). That way the customer could chose any combination they wanted. And I would definitely opt for the storage ottoman with lifted desk/table.
That sounds good to me thank you
This is the best iv seen.
Awesome Ty!!
Great unit for full-timers, get rid of the half bath and turn it into a walk-in closet.
Lot of requests for that bath to closet swap. Ty for this
There needs to be a theater seat so I can kick back with my feet up.
Theater seat would be nice for sure
I could live in that with no problem!!!!!!
P.S. Great stunt move! Impressive👍🏽
lol wasn’t intentional but hey
@@JoshtheRVNerd 😂👍🏽
I have seen some over-the-top tacky RVs at RV shows and this one is definitely not one of those. This is done very well and there is so much to like about it. It’s great as asset is biggest liability as usual. it’s bigger than what I need at this point of my life. I’m in my 50s and my kids are grown. I would love to see them. Take a few of these ideas and squeeze it into something smaller. Thanks again nerd.
Wow, thanks! I
So beautiful . I love this RV.I love everything about this ❤️
Wow awesome Ty
You definitely wouldn’t want to take it on a long trip, as it is as arrow dynamic as a loaf of Bread.I have never seen anything like it before.Over all a really nice unit.A combo Tiny house, destination Fifth wheel. Thanks for sacrificing your chrome dome in the rear loft for all of us!
I’m not really sure what rv is aerodynamic - none are really tested and most are rolling bricks
This is just the brickiest brick that ever did brick
It's a mobile apartment. I dig this. I'd totally buy a piece of land and get this and live out of this.
And no permits vs a cabin build
I am FOR the COFFEE TABLE being Included, I like the 2-Tone Kitchen color scheme, I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
well then. I'd say that's a glowing review
Would like recliners in sofa and ottoman with slide top.Bedroom needs more storage also.
👍🏻 Ty. I’d agree
Upstairs cab a safe would be a welcome addition or somewhere. I would prefer recliners with massagers in couch🤷♀️
