- okay a super long finale, but very enjoyable in my opinion. Jon and Dany are literally a power couple.. Sansa and Arya and badasses. Cercei is just ... and the Night King is coming!!! Hope you guys enjoyed the reaction :)

@@groo_evo4927 It had it's moments and Dany was always going to do what she did, but it could've been fleshed out more instead of Dumb and Dumber wanting to rush through to the end so they could go work on other projects.

When Arya "threatened" Sansa last episode, she wasn't really threatening her. She was reminding her. And then Arya gave her the dagger, as in "go ask Bran who the real enemy is" so at some point off camera, Sansa did just that. Still, after all his bullshit, betrayals, backstabbing, etc I was still sad to see Littlefinger go. He IS the game of thrones. He started this whole story, technically. His death marks the end of the political intrigue, which he was the centerpiece of, and it allows us to focus on what really matters, which is Cersei and the army of the dead.
Littlefinger gave himself away with the "Lady of Winterfell" because Sansa knew Arya never wanted to be a lady. That's why she says about playing the game. She figured him out.
Oh how I have missed your reactions. Side note: with this episode Sansa has gotten to watch three of her tormenters die, with her directly facilitating the last two.

Jon has a point about words losing there meaning and loyalty. That's why his brother is dead because he didn't do what he said he would. If not, he'd still be alive.
It’s kind of like a self-fulfilling prophecy. They went north to capture a wight in order to build an army against the Night King. But the Night King wouldn’t have been able to break down the magical barrier of the ice wall without Viserion.
He could get through the Wall because he marked Bran. NK is a greenseer and he knew they were coming and he could a dragon.

I love the fact of the conspiracy that only a Targaryen can truly tame a dragon, and the whole thing with the Night King being a Targ, which is why his symbol also resembles the Targaryen dragon symbol. Why the prophecy of Aegon the Conqueror also stated that there needs to be a Targ to defeat him, the only thing that can destroy House Targaryen is itself …. All these great tie ins 👏🏼

The Night King is the 13th commander of the Night's Watch. Not a Targaryen. They even show the Children Of The Forest transform him into the Night King in one of Bran's visions, which would've been at a time when Targaryens were still a family in Valyria, possibly even before the Targaryen family existed.

I hated how Cersei blamed Tyrion for her children’s deaths. Myrcella’s murder is kinda her fault the moment she accused Tyrion of kingslaying. If she hadn’t have set all of that up, Oberyn wouldn’t have died, Ellaria wouldn’t have killed her and Myrcella would still be safe in Dorne as of now. And Tommen’s death is her fault too because he would’ve still been alive if she hadn’t have wanted to get rid of his wife so badly. The only reason Tommen’s rule went downhill is because she armed the Faith militant for what? To just spite the second richest great house who supported you. Cersei is stupid and blames her actions on someone else when in reality, it’s her fault.

He sent her to Dorne, she instigated the events that led to Oberyn’s death but for M’s death I truly blame Ellaria. She intended to kill her and did.
@@atypical1242 Yeah but if Cersei hadn’t have accused Tyrion of murdering Joffrey, Oberyn wouldn’t have been killed and Myrcella would still be safe in Dorne. Ellaria was ok with the girl being there before Oberyn died. But whose fault was it there was a trial by combat? It’s basically Cersei’s because she stupidly accused Tyrion of murder. Tyrion just had to retaliate to defend his innocence.
Yes, he would have had time to learn how to rule, and Tyrion could have helped him if Tywin did happen to die.

I think the fact that Jon didn’t lie is one of the reasons I would trust him with anything. And I genuinely agree that if you agree to bend the truth once than no one can trust anyone completely and words stop meaning things. Even white lies are lies yk, even if for a better good.

I’m not going to lie Baelish was an iconic character in his own right, it was satisfying to see his death but also with that I felt like a lot of things were concluding to end the show 😅

I think the snow in Kingslanding was meant to show that Winter is coming and the White Walkers are getting closer. The Night King needed the Dragon to get past the wall. He couldn't cross the wall not just because it's big but it holds old magic. And people were upset that the next season moved too fast, but I can understand why. To do it right you needed a full season 8 and then a full season 9, but by this time, actors and producers have dedicated a decade of their lives to this project and probably were ready to move on. I think an additional 13 episodes would have allowed for a lot of open questions to be answered at the end of the day. I think it seems more rushed when you follow it live from week to week, but not as much when you binge it.
He actually could cross the Wall as he marked Bran. That mark is what allowed him to cross the Wall. The NK just wanted a dragon.

Even in real life, interfamily marriage was not unheard of amongst royalty and even peasant families for the sake of family blood. Even check the bible where Abraham was married to Sarah, his half sister, whom is loved dearly. And their son, Isaac married his cousin named Rebecca. And on and on throughout history until post royalty in Europe.

If you want to learn more about what the army of the dead are doing, I recommend you check out the episode when the children of the forest are shown creating the night king (Flashback). Sounded to me like the children of the forest were like environmentalists and the men were destroying all of their sacred trees, apparently becoming overpopulated, being disrespectful of the trees,
etc. If I’m not mistaken, this is very similar to the theme of Lord of the rings.
and as usual with the 'like environmentalists' the remedy was worse than the disease

I think they've had shorter winters too since. This summer lasted several years (most of Bran's life), but there was a non-Long NIght winter before that.

So that first Littlefinger scene is something. Basically when Littlefinger said Jon can be unnamed, Sansa decided to play the game of faces with him. That’s when she finally decided he was gonna die. Also pay attention to when Arya was brought in. She still had her weapons on her. That’s how you knew Arya wasn’t the one on trial.

What do the whitewalkers do when they're chilling back in Ice Town? What is their goal? To freeze the world and take the Iron Throne? To end the world? Do they ever think about maybe making some female whitewalkers? Do they play board games? What is their deal, anyway?
I'm always curious what the end game of these "take over the entire world, kill/eslave everyone alive" villains is.
Like, let's say the white walkers win and the night king takes over.... then what? He plans on just spending his days sitting on the iron throne relaxing while the rest of the world walks around as mute zombies? Like what happens when he wins? I just don't understand these types of villains. What kind of future is he planning for himself? Or does he just want revenge on the living since he's doomed to spend eternity as a white walker anyways? What does eternity look like for him when everyone else is dead?
The Targarians have a long line of marrying cousins and uncles etc. Even siblings. We still have countries today that practice these things because after second cousins the genetics aren’t close enough to harm the babies genes, it’s when it’s first cousins and siblings where you get mental illness/ disabilities and genetic malformations etc.

Littlefinger's death is my favorite in the series because the Starks did it as a family. He obviously hurt Sansa the most, but he got both of their parents killed, and they avenged them together. It's like, weirdly touching for a murder scene lol. And then Sansa and Arya talking after... the only thing I'm bitter about is them only mentioning Ned and not Cat.

The Targaryens lost the throne to the Baratheons, Robert claimed it by right of conquest/rebellion. As the Targaryens no longer have any right to it, after the death of Tommen, Cersei claimed it as she was the Dowager Queen to Robert. So yes, Daenerys is a would be usurper. Until she successfully reclaims it in her houses name. But we know how that went.
Cersei can't claim the throne as Robert's widow. That's not how the line of succession works. She basically claimed it by conquest and must have everyone afraid of her or there would be some objections to her blowing up the Sept of Baelor. I'm sure a member of any of the noble houses could be put in if there was no heir, and Lannisters are certainly that, but that's not exactly what happened here. It's conquest all the way down.
@@HuntingViolets Im going by what the show has established. Widows can and have beyond just Cersei claimed a family seat when there are no other members of the family present. Even Daemon Targaryen said Runestone was his after his wife died, despite there being other members of the family still alive and well.
@@roryedward2631 That's going into the other show, so I can't comment much on that. A family seat is not the same as a crown. This show is pretty dicey on a lot of things, though. Sansa, wanted for murder by the crown and still legally married, marries again, for instance. And, of course, they've cut down the houses so much that it's easy to wipe them out. I'd say Cersei essentially took the crown by conquest, but the weird thing is that she faces no consequences for blowing up the sept or anything of that and everyone is (or appears to be) just chill with it.

Maybe I'm just soft hearted, Because I've never liked Cersei. Lena is PHENOMENAL (there are precisely ZERO bad actors in this show...or HOTD so far for that matter) but as a character I think there are way more interesting ones. But even so, I found myself getting really excited and hopeful that Cersei would actually help fight the white walkers. I wanted to see wildfire and those scorpions going at the dead dragon. (Lol.....I had this weird theory that Cersei brings The Mountain to fight, but we learn that Qyburn accomplished scientifically what the Night King does magically. And suddenly the Mountain is in the Night Kings control because hes actually a wight. Then The Hound saves everyone from him somehow.) Then I wanted Cersei to die in the fight, or maybe realize she wants her baby to be as safe as possible and just surrenders the throne to Dany in exchange for a life with Jaime in Essos or somewhere.
Nah…that ending is not bitter enough.

Technically dany is a would be userper. Not only is she not a male her family hasn’t ruled in going on 2 decades. Targaryens were only rulers cause they won same as Robert and Ned did. Now new order of heirs has been set till defeated.
Cersei wasn't in line to inherit, though, so she is starting a new Lannister rule, not continuing the Baratheon rule.

Edit: Right! Can’t believe Dany didn’t call Cersei out for calling her a usurper when Cersei has absolutely NO claim to the throne! Also Tyrion proved he never was helping Dany defeat his family he said so himself!! Making Tyrion her hand was her downfall ALL his plans failed! Also it made no sense to name Jon Aegon when Rhaegar already had a son named Aegon 🤦🏾♀️ f*ck dumb & dumber.
