This is the problem with people though. The community thinks pings are toxic for some reason. They hate the little ding ding sounds cause they're toddlers and it hurts their 3 brain cells that they all share and play catch with while Im actually trying to win the game...
As someone who lived a year in Korea and played a lot on the korean server, i dont fully get the hype. People are more toxic, just in a different way. Games tend to be forfeitet super early, the tilt is huge and it seems like afking is way more popular in korea. The only big difference for me was the mechanical skill of everyone even in lower Elos, ppl on average were harder to outplay, Piloted theyre champs better. To me it felt like a server full of mechanical gifted Kata, rengar and yasou otps
It's the efficiency mentality, if your chances of winning are slim it's more efficient to get the match over with ASAP and try another match than try your luck with some randos.
I think it's less that people aren't toxic in KR and more that the server isn't filled to the brim with casuals, which on a comparatively much less populated NA/EUW server you would think wouldn't happen. In general, you should be able to feel an obvious difference in terms of competence/skill between booting up a Normal SR vs a Ranked SR experienced in League, yet my experience and many others' experiences is that people on casual servers like NA tend to play on autopilot regardless of whether they're playing ranked or not. At least on the Korean server what you can expect is that the average player doesn't want to waste their own time (particularly those playing from PC Bangs and not from home) and thus will play hard up until the point where the game is lost in their eyes. From a certain point of view, afking or FF'ing earlier rather than later once a massive enough early lead is secured by a given team or champion knowing the likelihood they throw it away is slim makes you able to play more games in a shorter amount of time, especially when the active playerbase in Korea is huge.
Toxic people exist everywhere, but in Korea general people wanna win Esports so they play to win. They also generally have better mechanics and game sense. They FF early because they want to churn through games rather than time waste as they see it. This happens in SC2 a lot as well. There is like a collective understanding when the games over and that's it move on.
I'd guess since to the League community, the toxicity is normal thus they have no frame of reference on what is good or bad behavior. They only care about the gameplay, so the mechanical prowess of the Koreans is all they care about, toxicity be damned.
I've been watching TFBlade in Korea. He's commented a lot on how their macro isn't very good. I kind of believe it. I've noticed they take risky fights like 4v5 while they have a split-laner without TP, instead of just taking other objectives. They play very fast paced and seem to all have this mentality of trying to win the game in the first 5 minutes. It definitely means they get more practice with mechanics and limit testing though.

See I would respond to pings but tbh I have absolutely no idea what they want me to do most of the time. Like with pinging the baron when Yone was the only one up, what did they want him to do? Because if I was Yone I would just be thinking "I can't do shit alone, do you want me to just go int?"
I have to agree with yuo. like is he expecting a Yone in low elo (even in Korean server) to somehow pop off and steal or maybe just hope for that one chance because maybe the game was lost anyway? not sure
dont think of it ad "oh someone wants me to do xyz" unleds that is absolutely abundsntly clear (e.g. pinging ontop of you and then spamming going here ping under enemy tower for a tpwer dive) but instesd think of it "im being given information" with thr info that the enemy team is doig baron, yone coulr try to a.steal b.hardpush a lane or two c. take enemy jngl
Haven't even finished the video yet, but good editing by splicing in the post-game corrections over the original gameplay. It felt like a much more seamless way to address the problems for us viewers.
Felt harsh yes but all justified. The harshness was kept strictly on the gameplay and decision-making, mentality which can be a lash to the back to remember in future games.
The other factor is the internet infrastructure there is so much better. When I was there i could still play on Us west servers with 120ping which is absurd. The ping is consistently lower for every player in the game so quick reaction times are even quicker. Part of why I think everyone sees korean players as being more mechanically inclined (to a certain degree.)
It's not just a matter of perception, it's a matter of better ping leading to better motivation to improve mechanical skill, due to 1) you can actually pull it off, whereas how many crazy combos can you do in 120 ms? And 2) the bar is raised for everyone. Everyone is expected to dodge and perform basic-intermediate combos, because it's easier to do so.

@@thewhiteboy3212 I wonder if this is a case of him actually being healthy, but because we are used to how he looked for so long, change feels weird until we get used to it. I don't think there's any difference between NA and KR. I haven't seen enough as Neace, but I've played thousands of games in Silver/Gold in NA and they all look just like this 😂😂😂
Hecarim is absolutly terrible at lvl 1? When he pops ghost he gets extra ad + he can spam q's that build up stacks to do even more damage he is strong level 1 if you play it right but invading on vision is just coinflip it was right to back off
Bruh he was up against a zilean and ahri, he is stronger than kayne lvl 1 solo but goodluck invading against zilean, ahri and a possible malph with a team that can only go head on
It's the culture of individualism vs collectivism. In a collectivist mindset you prioritize the team and goals over self. That's far better in team games, though also far more dangerous socially when the mob is allowed to bully and rule and freely hammers down the nails not firmly in their place.
Is no one gonna talk about how dropping that herald over the wall was dumb af? He should've pushed the wave into turret, drop herald. Herald would take 1st turret and damage the 2nd. This was just pain for my eyes and ears.
it's a slower play... He needs to not slow down, its all about speed. Pushing lane and waiting on rift is like a minute slower than just dropping and instantly backing to be back on the map. He even managed to mess that up by not trusting the rift was going to hit before he backed and dropping the pink which stopped his B. He literally wasted a lot of time. Also, notice the SECOND he's in base, both Kayne and Ahri are mid. He would of died for no reason, because by the time he pushed lane and dropped rift, there would of been 2 champs on him.
@@tonyvillalobos7940 Bruh, it took him 12 sec to go from herald to wall to drop it, it would take him maybe 17 sec max to clear wave. Ahri came 20 seconds from when he dropped herald and kayn was there after another 12 seconds. He had every spell up so no, he wouldn't die. He would at least get the 1st turret gold
