- Today Hudson chats with music superstar Randy Newman! Randy is a 2 time Oscar winner, 7 time Grammy winner, and 3 time Emmy winner. He’s recorded many albums, plays concerts all over the world, and has composed a ton of films including The Natural, Three Amigos, Toy Story 1,2,3,4, Monsters, Inc., Princess and The Frog, and a lot more! You may know him from hits I Love LA, Short People, and You’ve Got A Friend in Me.
Seeing the kids face light up when Randy does You’ve Got A Friends In Me made my week. Don’t forget all these kind things these people do for you kiddo. I was raised around famous singer/songwriters and spent time having dinner, hanging out and later working with them in music and I took for granted that most people won’t get the chance to experience this. Love what you’re doing kiddo… stay grateful and sweet. That’s the key. There’s no limits anymore for your generation, go get em!

I really hope people can appreciate that one of the greatest songwriters of all time is giving an interview here to a kid with 84 subscribers. Makes me love Randy even more.
Randy Newman should do a songwriting masterclass. He's one of the few living songwriters who is capable of both musical and lyrical brilliance, and his style is one of a kind.

Hi, Hudson- well done to you for managing to get an exclusive interview with one of my all time heroes, Mr Randy Newman!! I only came across this today- but I'll certainly subscribe to your channel!!
I was lucky enough to meet him after one of his Glasgow concerts and we met his wife, Gretchen and had some photos taken and a lovely chat. He signed my Randy Newman songbook for guitar, which I will always treasure! I wasn't as calm as you were- and I wish I had written my questions down because I was so starstruck, I could hardly remember what I wanted to ask him! I gave him a few gifts from Scotland- not sure if he liked them though- but it was just lovely to shake the hand of a man who has written some in credible music.
You clearly have an excellent future ahead of you, Hudson, and Randy was clearly enjoying speaking with you and your honesty!
