Thanks for the vid! I'm getting close to buying a 5s.
Since NINA 3.0 the DIY Meridian Flip does not work anymore. The update of the script does not include all the settings anymore that the upgrade is useless now that you need to use the build in MF functionality.
I know it might be a stretch..... but how about buying an Avalon mount..... then you don't need MF ....... then you don't need the plug in...... you see where I'm going..... 🤣
Sasha, great video as always. I have two issues with mine though. First, in NINA under Switch I do not get anything in the Gauges section. I just get the Switches section data. Second, under the Safety Monitor I did get the sky quality meter briefly (I don’t have the echo yet) but now it won’t work. Seems like the ascom driver has some bugs.
Sorry to hear. The only advice I can give you is to ensure all drivers, versions, firmware and also the ASCOM plattform are at the most recent version.
@@viewintospaceI just got a brand new Eagle5 S and downloaded all the latest versions of everything so I assumed there wasn’t an issue with everything. Turns out the Eagle itself was on an older firmware version and of course older drivers. Downloaded latest software from Prima Luce Labs and all is working fine. Thanks! You Swiss guys are pretty smart! Haha
The Ascom driver for Starlight Express CCD Cameras does not work with Nina 3.0 because of new ascom framework
Well, that is not really an issue of NINA, but of Starlight Express which did not release an updated ASCOM driver. I would contact them and request that!
@@viewintospace Starlight Express do not release a Ascom driver it is written by a guy Bret Mckee . I have sent him Ascom log files and Nina logs to look at .I still use Nina 2.3 without issues
Does this only work for the newer Eagle 5? I cannot get it to work with my Eagle 4.
If you can get your environmental data to be displayed in the Weather Tab, then it should work also with this plug in
Hey Sascha: What Remote Desktop app on your laptop do you use to control your Eagle 5
The Microsoft Remote Desktop - is free and works very well.
what is this device you are holding in your hands??
The red one in the middle of the video is the Eagle 5 Pro (astrocomputer) and the ECCO with is the environmental sensor. The one in the box at the end of the video is the Sesto Senso 2 which is an electronic focuser.
@@viewintospace Thank you for your answer . I'm now using Astroberry alternately with Starmate and I'm looking for something interesting. and this seems great. clear sky 👏👍
Have a look at my Eagle 5 full review video - I published it about a year ago - it's an absolutely great device!!!
@@viewintospace that's what I see, I'll definitely watch it. you are doing a good job 💪 I learned a lot in pixI from your videos. keep it up 👏👏👏
