On this day, April 13th, I met my girlfriend for the first time in Hallstatt, Austria. Namika somehow pushed us in each other's arms.
I was traveling through Europe when I decided to spend a day in Hallstatt. We saw each other and literally fell in love at first sight.
I am French and she is Turkish. I live in France and she lives in Austria. I speak French and English, she speaks German and Turkish.
At the beginning, it was very hard to understand each other. We used to speak with our hands ("Körpersprache"), very simple sentences and ideas. Awkward and uncomfortable
Today, it's been almost seven months and I have learned German for her. It's not perfect of course but at least we can have a conversation. Next year, I will move to Austria to live with her. I will ask her hand and will fight so that I don't spend one more day far away from her.
