Just watched the finale. Then went back to this episode and started paying attention to the little details from here to the finale. Holy shit, this was a well thought out and suspenseful series from front to back. So many details, phrases, clues and things I didn't notice until it all came together! Everything has a payoff! Amazing work Artie! This is one of my favourite series so far on YT and you're severely underrated!

I know Gilmore Girls pretty well, and I'm working my way through "Switched at Birth" in super-slow motion. When GG:AYITL came out, that's when I realized "Bay" was also "April", so I sort of know Vanessa from both shows. She's GREAT in this!! The thumbnail and the GG reference got me. I'll have to check out the other episodes.

I loved April. It's not a 13 year olds fault that her biological father she was denied meeting her whole life treated his fiance poorly. April was sweet and innocent. But fans were obsessed with crotchety Luke who yells at kids & the elderly & gets into fist fights with high schoolers because he thinks they broke up with his crush's daughter & refused to tell a woman he was in love with her for like 8 years then once he had her kept secrets, was passive aggressive, & noncommittal.
Did you pay attention to the show? Luke yells at some people, but only when they break the rules or do something bad. He treats people the way they treat him. "His crush's daughter"? Luke was father figure to Rory, even after he broke up with Lorelai, he was still nice to Rory and treated her like she was his own daughter. That's why he was protective of her, I really can't accuse him for being protective. He didn't tell Lorelai he liked her for 10 years. Why? Because look how many boyfriends she had - Max, Chris, Jason - in just few years. He knew she didn't like him in the same way, and he told her after she started to like him too. Again, I don't see anything bad about that. Plus, he wasn't supposed to be with Lorelai when they firstly started making show, so that's why he didn't seem interested in her. And secrets? Both, Luke and Lorelai, had their secrets. They always had communication problems, it's not only his fault. It's just part of them, and I guess, always be. What I like about Gilmore Girls is, that everyone has some flaws and nobody is perfect. If I was looking for flaws, as you did with Luke, with every character, I would have to hate all the characters. I'm not like others, who don't like April. I don't mind her, she is strange, but that's okay.
hybrid butterfly I agree it wasn’t April’s fault at all it was Luke, Lorelai and Anna who screwed things up mostly Luke though, he acted like because he had a kid he couldn’t have a life of his own or date. And just to clarify I don’t have anything against Luke he is actually one of my favourite characters in the show, I thought his grumpy attitude was really funny and how he could also be really sweet to lorelai and rory.
The acting, the amazing writing, the scenes, everything is soooo perfectly put together it brings me so much joy and laughter. I'm binging this whole channel, thank youuu
