  • Here is the first episode of our new "Project 2" series where we rebuild a1972 BMW R75/5 that hasn't run in 25 years!
We hope you liked our last 11-episode series where we built a custom BMW R75/7 roadster from parts we had lying around the shop. (Here's a link to that episode: • Schoneman's Garage E... ) That project was enough fun to do that we decided to start another one. Hope you like it!

Toaster tank still shines, pin stripes look good, love the egg shell white. Don't change it unless you add an electronic ignition and perhaps a /6 transmission (5 speed). The turn signals look better than the original square ones.

Hi William, we'll be posting episode 2 soon and will talk about some of those things. I'm going with Euromotoelectrics electronic ignition, Motogadget m-unit for wiring (with new OEM switches), and Rick's Motorsport Electrics regulator/rectifier. I happened to have some old OEM turn signals in the shop and I'll be using those. They're square but I think they'll work. The chrome tank plates are polishing up very nicely and I'll be keeping the egg-shell white paint.
Thanks for watching! And thanks for the ideas!
