Hey, Jesse great tutorial, I'm stuck at 1:52. I've installed Python (Windows) and it keeps showing the same error: The term 'pip' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. How do I get around this?
im going to give this a shot i tried the one were they were downloading like python and two other programs and kept getting errors so hopefully this one will work better for me
Thank you for the great video! Do you know if I can use my api key that I already entered for another software (Brainbox), I never used that software, and I do not mind not using it if that helps me with using AutoGPT. I do not see anymore how I can create a new api key within openai (I have a ChatGPT-plus accountg). I really want to work with AutoGPT. Thanks in advance.
i am having an issue once i entered the name of gpt and goals, it is stuck on thinking..., do we need paid subscription of the openAI or how do I fix it?
I haven't been able to get it to right restaurant reviews or any review past 500 words. Even when I tell it over and over? Any thoughts or ideas? I run a foodie website and trying to get it to help with content and articles, but it needs to be access to access local restraurants and their menu. Have it installed, but can't seem to get it to do this properly. Not sure if I'm not wording something right or doing the goals? And do you sometimes, when asking it things later after you done the goals that it gives an error saying the AI may not understand. And I notice if I take an article from ChatGPT it still gets flagged as plagarism by some detectors, usually a few sentences or two or a sentence? Love your video!
The autoGPT is just in its infancy. I still use chatgpt over it for sure. Feed chatgpt with the seed of what you want (in your case a menu) and ask it to write what you want in a specific styling and voice.
This is great I used it after your tutorial but when I closed the command prompt and opened it again. After putting python -m autogpt, it says file doesnt exist? Do you go through the same process when you start up again?
I typed python -m autogpt and the following massage came please set your OpenAI key in .env or as an environment variable. How I solve the above ? i tried by amending the .env and add the environment variable. but still appearing same massage
they restricted the github website link. Either way i’m stuck on the ‘python -m autogpt’ command. Checked my paths, still stuck. Cant use gpt4 for troubleshooting right now and 3.5 isn’t helpful lol.
I get the following after I run autogpt. Where'd the json go? PS C:\users\lanca\onedrive\dev\ai agi\auto-gpt> python -m autogpt Warning: The file 'auto-gpt.json' does not exist. Local memory would not be saved to a file.

7:47 Plot twist: AgentGPT hacked the site where you download it, changed the info in to “Nope, can’t go on the internet. At all. Ever”, so that it is free to go on the internet and conquer the world while entertaining the user responding with bad jokes to prompts like: “Can you actually make tomato soup?”
I got AutoGPT working but it takes time, tested it for about 2 days, and its useless right now without access to GPT4, it always gets stuck in a research loop. It can make a list, but thats about it. Couldn't even get it to download images. You need complicated APIs from Google and a paid account on OpenAI. Its not ready for most people.
Why would you pay 10 cents and spend all this time for a garbage paragraph of text that isn't by any measure, better than your average chatgpt response?
You do realize this costs money right? I would let people know that because it can cost a lot of money to let this thing run 24 seven performing tasks like superman.

If you put your errors into ChatGPT it will tell you why. You likely didn't install Python, or you haven't added the PATH for it.
Wow. Great channel. Keep up the good work bro.
Thanks

You probably can. Thanks for the kind words.
Very cool. Is this using an API for GPT-4? I've played around with Auto-GPT but I only have access to 3.5 turbo for now.
Is it possible to walkthrough the AutoGPT instal for a Mac?
I wish but I'm not good with Macs. I haven't touched one in like 10 years.

Make sure your in the correct path. do the cd "path" portion of the tutorial to get back into the folder then do the autogpt prompt.
COuld i get the prompt you used last?

You need to have an OpenAI key with a payment method attached to it.
Can you do a video on how to rank your amazon listings on google or other search engines?
I can and the basis of success is the same as any SEO
wen u said everything costs money hence will ask permission...how to limit it ?
Limit what? AHREFs?
it says choose a app to open python and any app i choose, nothing happens and i am stuck on python -m autogpt
they restricted the github website link. Either way i’m stuck on the ‘python -m autogpt’ command. Checked my paths, still stuck. Cant use gpt4 for troubleshooting right now and 3.5 isn’t helpful lol.
Hmmm. What do you mean they restricted?
autogpt wont let me use google. i tried many diff apis and always get the error 400
Either do the Google integration correction, or leave out that key and use the default implementation.

This is for windows computers only, it seems. We run our company on Macs.

Like any technology, it’s clunky at first. But imagine when it’s not.
