Idk if they’ve already done this but I’m trynna see a whole tour of like everything they’ve built and how close they are to each other and stuff
nothing they build lasts more than a week before it gets destroyed by the weather, the pools don't last more than a day or two before the lining dissolves and the water seeps into the ground, they use termite mucus to make the "cement", it's not meant to be waterproof against that much water at once

They aren't using pine or particle board for god sakes. Bamboo or some other relatively weather resistant wood prevalent in that climate would last quite some time before rotting. Maybe city life is shaping a whole new generation of people who know nothing of our own heritage in the US. Primitive homesteads dominated the prairies as settlers migrated west. They used thatching of mud and grass to fill the gaps between logs. They even grew sod on their roofs at times particularly when the built into a bank. Maintenance was required fairly often but materials were in abundance. Oiled parchment was used for window panes to let light in. Not for winter use I suspect. There are still places that preserve examples of these simple dwellings across the country. So frankly the idea that these structures might stand for more than a few days maybe even a few seasons with care is not such a stretch of the imagination.
FYI I learned all of this in grade school. Just sayin.

And how long can these structures withstand the elements. Pretty windy in this video. That top floor really moves when they walk on it. I also wonder if that pool in short time will be a big mud hole. I can't imagine that it stays pretty like that for any amount of time.

First of all, it's not illegal unless it's on owned land, which I doubt it is, because they're in the middle of a forest. Secondly, taxes are when people pay the government for things like fixing the roads, or giving money to schools. If they create their own village, that's not part of the government, and so the government doesn't own any schools or roads or things like that in their village to tax them for, therefore they would not be taxed, unless they brought people to their village and started taxing them, but even then they would not be taxed, it would be the other people in the village.
