*My Ideal Dino Bash 2 Concepts*
In MIDB2, the game has the same concept of the DB games but there are many changes. It is still a tower defense game, but there are a lot of changes I'd like to make.
*Gamemodes and Playthroughs*
On default, there are 3 playthrough slots, and on each there are two gamemodes you can pick: one where the units and shots are preselected, and another where you can pick them.
*Concept of Attack and Health*
Attacks are much more different in MIDB2, for both enemies, units and shots and all other attacks. Here, there are a few factors:
Health: How much damage one can hold before dying.
Resistance: The percentage of damage that is reduced. For example, if an enemy has 100 health and 50% resistance, then an attack which would usually deal 100 damage would only deal 50 damage.
Damage: How much damage one can deal to an enemy.
Attack Rate: The speed one delivers their attacks at.
Range: The area where one can attack from.
Pierce: The amount of enemies can be affected by one attack before the latter is no longer effective.
AOE: The area of effect an attack has. Mostly used for explosion-type stuff.
Accuracy: The percentage of effectiveness one has for each attack. If one has, for example, 70% accuracy, then each attack has a 70% chance to be effective. Also includes Crits, and Dodge. *Only a select few will have this.*
*Progression and Characters*
The game's story will become more fleshed out and characters will have more depth in them, for example the turtle from DB1. For progression there will be more units and shots, and more unique enemies. The progression will also be a lot more ranged and will have side quests and bosses that will be explained next. Also enemy fortifications, walls and buildings will also be preset
*Seasonal Events, Side Quests, Bosses, and Shop*
Seasonal Events are events based on real holidays and events. They are much more prevalent than the ones in DB2 right now, and introduce new shots, enemies and units.
Side Quests are a way to introduce more shots and units and enemies in the game. Each will branch off and you have to complete a, or a series of levels that will be unique and some will have you unlock new shots and dinosaurs.
Bosses are enemies that usually only appear once. These aren't the Tank enemies, the big guys; no, these are even stronger. Their levels will be important and it will be hard to take em out. They will have unique attacks too.
The new Shop will include limited time unit and shot sales which allow you to buy new units and shots that appear in the Shop for a limited time. You can also buy more side quests.
*Shots*
Shots now function similarly to in the first game. They will be dropped by a flying unit instead of just there and you will have to aim them again instead of being able to click it. Each flying unit has their own accuracy for shots and each shot type has a different weight/accuracy too.
*Defenses*
Buy defense from the Shop. They are the same as in DB1, like the landmines, the bush and the vine.
*Units and Upgrades*
Each unit I will try to make as balanced as possible. So some ones which are useless right now like Snappy will be rebalanced to be more powerful.
Upgrades include General Upgrades and Tech Tree Upgrades. The former being what we have right now, and the latter being unique upgrades for each unit.
*Snappy:* Has lots more health and deals more damage. Snappies can induce a noxious effect in enemies that makes a percentage of the latter's attacks miss.
*Anky (Now a smaller ankylosaurid, I'd like it to be Animantarx):* The new Anky now has relatively high resistance for units of its cost and decent health. They're still cheap, but may cost a little higher? A tech tree upgrade makes enemies have a chance to take damage after attacking the Anky.
*Spitty:* I'd like them to be adult Spitties (I think of them as an Ohmdenosaurus/Magyarosaurus) and not the baby Spitty anymore although the latter could still be the same for Spitty Barrel. Also costs more. The new Spitty attacks quickly with lower damage spit from a mid range. Tech tree upgrades allows them to shoot in very quick bursts. Equivalent of an assault rifle
*Baby Spitty:* Shoots a decent rate and deals low damage with close-mid range. They are cheap and spammable with a very short cooldown. Tech tree makes their attacks have a chance to be poisonous. Equivalent of handgun
*Raptor:* Preeetty much the same, but they have a chance to evade attacks. Tech tree makes their dodges quicker and more prevalent.
*Tricer:* Now can deal critical gorge hits which might stun enemies and deal more damage.
*Spittosaur:* (I like to think as Brachytrachelopan) Fires at a slow rate but deals incredible single target damage with good range, equivalent of a rocket launcher. Tech tree makes their attacks be able to explode and hit multiple enemies although this AOE is relativeley small.
*Para:* Pretty much the same, tech tree makes their healing reach further ig?
*T-Rex Jr:* Less powerful than before, except deals extra damage against fortifications and machinery, including walls and catapults. Tech tree makes them be able to disable enemy shields, like those guys with the top and front shields.
*Fire Deino:* Name should be Pyroraptor. Has lower health than Raptor but deals great fire damage. Tech tree makes em do burn damage
*Fire Stego* Should be Wuerho. Deals a lot lower damage but shreds against wood enemies and has low AOE. Has good range, and a mid-slow firerate. Tech tree makes them be able to "scorch" the ground causing enemies that walk over to take fire damage
*Rambo on fire:* Should just be rambo/rocky. The same as before. Tech tree makes them... uh idek my battery is dying
*Mammoth* Has the same amount of health as Tricer, actually. Deals low melee area damage and can chill and freeze enemies
Dilophosaurus: Shoots a volley of deadly venomous buckshot at enemies at a close range with slow firerate. Tech tree makes their attacks have a lot more pierce. Equivalent of shotgun

Maybe I'm the only one, but I find this game impossibly grindy. I've reached a stage where a single dino upgrade costs over 10000 coins, but i only earn 1000 per mission. And then I need to upgrade all my dinos multiple times just to progress 2 or so levels before the cycle repeats.

Hey James, I hope you're okay, I know you'll probably not see this comment and that you'll most likely not answer but I was wondering if you were planning to play paleo pines? It's such an awesome little game I feel it deserves you giving it a go and it's so different from what you usually play, the dinos are just so cute and I feel genuinly so good playing this game! Ever since it came out I couldn't wait for your video but it never really came.. I alsways wondered why (oh and Dredge is also an awesome cozy satisfying game but horror, it's awesome!! The artstyle reminds me of little nightmares but flat and stylized, the writting is awesome! It's probably not a game that would interest you to play on your channel but I bet you would love it in your free time!
