  • A helitour from the Tinson Pen aerodrome in Kingston, Jamaica over a section of the Hellshire Hills, which are a part of the Portland Bight Protected Area.
The Hellshire Hills are under severe threat from charcoal production.
The two bays are Manatee Bay and Coquar Bay.
The area is a wildlife refuge and home to many species of endangered animals. Some found only in the Hellshire Hills.
The entire Portland Bight Protected Area is under threat of destruction by non-sustainable exploitation.

So near yet so far away. Most of us who live in this area don't have the privilege to see the beauty of Hellshire Hills and Manatee Bay.Thank you Captain.I use the research the W W 2 bases at Little Goat Island and Vernam Field and I have found a lot of things.

Good to see the old stomping ground, Portmore, developed a lot more than it was. Interesting to see from the air places I used to run around as a boy.

landscape looks great and interesting especially the orange mangrove section. I'm using it as inspiration for a painting I'm going to do

Illegal coal, and an illegal camp.... I was looking for the illegal roads but hard to see. These lands need to be preserved for all generations. Same with the islands.

I see that you caught somebody logging and operating a coal still in the Helshire Hills.....another dastardly act that if left unchecked will destroy these wood and wetland resouces
