Great interviews! I watched this on my TV initially, so I couldn't comment right away, finally on my phone and able to now. Always interesting to see different perspectives, it really shows how destructive the JW experience usually is and that finding a healthy path for each of us individually is important! Whether, Christian, Atheist or even somewhere in between. Being Yourself and Healthy is what matters! You are both such beautiful people!!! 💗

Falon, I look forward to a more detailed video regarding your spiritual experience with Jesus. I woke up in 2021 but never lost faith in God but i felt spiritually lost for a couple years...then around this time last year i had a spiritual awakening experience which completely changed my perspective on life for the better. I didn't see or hear Jesus, even though I do look to/follow Jesus as the perfect exemplar, but i don't really call myself Christian because i don't wanna be affiliated with religion, since Spirituality is much bigger and broader than religion. With that said, i do believe that your experience, "being born again," near death experiences and spiritual awakenings are really all the same spiritual experience, all connected to God's grace/love.

I love hearing the stories. I think in some ways because I have been out since 2006 but really OUT in the last year, that there is validation in the feelings I have. My brother asked me when we were dealing with my mom "why don't you go back to meetings" and the thing I told him is "There is no love or kindness inside the hall." I couldn't go. I also watched Leah Remini's Scientology series and thought the same - "THIS IS JW"S" and then she had the episode on JW's - it was a little scary as I wasn't out out. Finding all of these podcasters has helped me really come to the conclusion that all of this is a bunch of nonsense and I am right in my feelings. Plus, all you have to do is listen to the JW Broadcasting and you can see the nonsense.

In answer to the question about the role of women, we have to remember that the bible was written in an era where Women were not looked up to as equal to men CULTURALLY. It is Clear how Jesus felt about women. But the fact that Paul asked women to be quiet in church is not necessarily the way GOD intended it. It's the same as men who got married to more than one woman in the bible. That was accepted culturally but not necessarily how God intended to be. Many things happened after sin that was not intended. Yes, God expected men to lead, But women were made to be equal to men, not to be trampled on or treated like an inferior. The Bible Tells a story about imperfect human beings. But we are expected to live according to what God intended. The role of the woman is to live Utilizing whatever talents God has given her, In the home on the job And in the church.

I appreciate you both showing how we can get along and even thrive despite our differences. On a side note, I remember secretly really disliking field service. Like, do I have to do this for the rest of my life?? Thank goodness its over! Thanks again!

I found this very interesting . It really resonated with me that you learnt to ‘’sit with it’ when going through the process and huge period of re-adjustment after leaving and whilst trying to work out where next . It’s been 3 years now for me and I’m trying to fix my faith

I loved listening to your stories of escaping the Org. I too had an experience with Jesus Christ which catapulted me out of the Org faster than you can say ‘religious cult’ - that was 36 years ago now. I was in for 15 years. Briefly - I was praying one night while still a Witness and I suddenly KNEW deep down in my Spirit that Jesus was far more important than I had been led to believe. They teach that he’s the Archangel Michael of course. I disassociated within 2 weeks and was so happy that I’d found what I’d been searching for all my life. My family were never in the cult; I joined after I got married in 1974 - left in 1988. I lost all my friends of course, but I’d found the REAL Jesus. Oh that many more faithful followers of the Org would have a similar experience 🙏🏻

I was raised as a JW child and none of it ever made sense to me. I always could feel like something was wrong. I never was a model JW, I just went through the motions because my parents made me. Once I was 18 I left.

I,m a Atheist when it comes to Christianity but I,m a Agnostic because there,s some mysterious force running the show but what it is nobody knows, so I'm a Militant Agnostic my motto is ,,I don't know and neither do you,,❤

Here's a thought for you to chew on Justin.
Atheists laugh at unicorns being in the bible.....right?......and will discard it right away.
Christians twist themselves into a pretzel trying to say it means a rhinoceros.....not a unicorn.
Here's a novel thought......what if they are BOTH WRONG?.....what if there is a THIRD WAY OF UNDERSTANDING WHAT IT MEANS?
Job 39:9 KJV says "will the unicorn abide by thy crib?"
First off.......what a weird question.....a unicorn being beside a crib?
HOWEVER......look at the context of that verse......God is questioning Job about......THE STARS/CONSTELLATIONS!
So is there a unicorn in the skies above?
      YES!.......the constellation.....MONOCEROS!........UNICORN!
And it just happens to be in close proximity to a star cluster called PRAESEPE.......also known as ...........drum roll........THE CRIB!
VOILA!........A UNICORN NEXT TO A CRIB!

I am an atheist I understand that..I appreciate that. I honor that
I don't know..I appreciate that. That is honesty..
      ..
Nether do youwhat the heck is that? Are you judgemental? Should I be you?
      ..

@@Alisha-zq6vhI don't think it's the communication that's the issue, I think it's more so that we never quite learned how to properly LISTEN...but it's not our fault, we're all mislead regarding how Spirituality and connection to God really works
